" Rainbow Dash!!!! Come back here!!" Twilight Sparkle yelled.

" Ha! Never!" Rainbow Dash said as she flew off with Twilight's book.

" Oh my! Girls please be careful." Fluttershy cautioned.

" Ooohhh! Are we playing tag? I want to play tooooo!!!!" Pinkie Pie shouted with a rush of speed towards Twilight.

" Girls, i reckon we should stop. You know how mad Alex gets if we cause some sort of damage." Applejack warned.

Then Rarity walked in. And just in time to crash into Rainbow. "Ow!" Rarity whimpered. Rainbow went back a little and bumped into Twilight. "whoops!" Twilight grabbed her book using her magic and went back to put it on her shelf.

Alex came in the room looking cross. " Told yeh." Applejack told to the five ponies standing around her.

Rarity came into the living room and looked at Alex. " Well, our birthdays are tomorrow and so is yours... what are we going to do?" Rarity asked.

"Well, do you remember what my mom told me. If I can tame you girls, I can keep you. But I'm soon to be 18 and I need to go to college. I'm going to be gone and I don't know what to do with you girls. Do you think..." Alex thought about what she said. Maybe it wasn't a good idea but ... but.... they were ready to be out there in the world and they needed to learn to survive themselves. Six years ago, Alex found them on her step as fillies and took them in. Now she needs to go out in the world and .... "

"I know how you feel. We will miss you darling. And until the time comes, we will both keep this a secret." Rarity said. Alex only nods. As Rarity went back into the ponies bedroom, she was welcomed back with Rainbow Dash and a big slam.

"Ow." Rarity said.

Seconds later Alex came in looking cross.

"Told yeh" Applejack said.

"Girls! you know the rules around here. And tomorrow is our birthdays..." Alex looked at the other 5 ponies. She had to leave tomorrow and she had to tell them now or never. "I will be leaving to go to college." The five ponies looked at Alex like she was crazy. "The plan is to ... well, I will be leaving for 4 or 5 years and I have nobody to watch you. You can't come with me. So, I don't know what you girls will do. You could go out in the world and explore or you could stay here and wait for me to come." The six ponies looked at each other."

Well, what if we go out in the world?" Twilight asked. "

You have to hide from the humans and survive by yourself and..." Alex stopped and looked at the ponies. She knew that they wouldn't do that. They have never been out in the real world. But what chance did they have if they didn't go? They had this small, dark, broken down house to live in. Even if Alex didn't go, the house wasn't going to survive for a long time. It was the ponies choice to go out in the world or not.

"And it's your choice if you want to go out in the world or not." Then Alex left the room to get dinner ready, for the last time in the house.

"What if we leave the house?" Rarity asked.

"Well then, I will be the leader." Twilight said.

"But what about the food?" Pinkie asked.

"Like Alex said, we need to learn how to survive." Twilight reminded Pinkie.

"But what if we stay?" Rainbow asked.

"Then Rarity and Fluttershy will be the cleaners, AJ and Pinkie will be the cooks and ...." Twilight said.

"And me and Twilight will do nothing but fight!" Rainbow said.

"No we aren't! I will study magic. And Dash will play with clouds or something like that." Twilight said.

"So, what are we going to do?" Pinkie asked.

"Well I reckon we should take a vote. See who gets the most and all." Applejack said to everypony around them.

"Um... yes. We should see who wants to do what they want to do. I mean-" Fluttershy stopped as Twilight interrupted her.

"So who wants to stay home and wait 4 or 5 years?" Twilight asked the ponies. Fluttershy and Rarity raised their hoofs.

"Now who wants to go out in the world and explore?" Twilight asked. AJ, Rainbow, Pinkie, and Twilight raised their hoofs. "Well then, we are going to explore then." Twilight said at last.

"But then, can't we just follow Alex to her college?" Pinkie asked.

"Pinkie! Darling. That's a great idea! We can all follow her and meet her at her college." Rarity said with a squeal.

"Great! We can all pack up now and get ready. But lets keep it a secret that we are following her." Twilight said.

"So girls, have you decided on what to do?" Alex asked.

"Yep! We are going out into the world to find our real home!" Twilight said with a wink to the girls.

"Well that's wonderful!"

"Well we aren't sure where to start."

"Well don't worry, you will think of a place. I'm leaving tomorrow and..."

"We will miss you Alex!" all six ponies yelled.

"Well, lets take a picture tomorrow and say all of our goodbyes also. Let's just wait until tomorrow."

After dinner, all of the ponies went to sleep thinking of what the future will tell. As for Alex, she started to pack up and she went to sleep hoping that the ponies will be ok.
