Scootaloo, a young Pegasus filly who has yet to learn to fly, loves training with her mentor and sister figure, the legendary Rainbow Dash. All goes normally, but while training her in a bad rainstorm, Rainbow Dash ends up on the brink between life and death when she's struck by lightning and left in critical condition.
