Emily woke to a high pitched screech. She looked up and saw a pink pony with a dark green mane run away. She sat up and groaned. Where am I? She wondered. And who was that pony, and WHY was it a pony? Well, she thought, might as well explore a bit. The trees were crooked and bent. The grass was long and withered. Not a very happy place.But I'm not looking for one, I'm looking for home.
After what seemed like hours,Emily heard voices. Mean, strict voices. "FIND IT! FIND IT NOW! BEFORE IT FINDS US! WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. IT COULD BE DEADLY!" Uh oh, they sound mean, probably looking for me, I know I'm making a stupid mistake, but I should go up there and clear up a few things.
"Hello? I'm right here. Are you looking for me?" She called as she walked toward the voices. "HELLO? I'M RIGHT HERE!"
One pony let out a gasp and shrieked, " I HEARD IT! IT'S CALLING TO US!"
Another smacked him on the head. "Shut up and answer back then!" The yellow pony nodded. " H-HELLO? A-ARE YOU TH-THERE?"
"YES! DON'T MOVE! I'LL FIND YOU!" Emily replied.
The pony yelped and took of running. He ran right into Emily. He gazed up at her with wide blue eyes. The others followed and took out tazers and tranquilizers darts once they saw her. Emily fell to her knees and put her hands up. "Okay you got me. I surrender, just don't taze or shoot me."A grey pony with a white mane glared at her. " What are you?" He asked sternly.
"I'm a human, and my name is Emily- DID I ASK YOU WHAT YOUR NAME WAS?" He yelled.
Another pony pushed past him and smiled. He was orange with a white mane. "Hello Emily, I'm Orion, we're gonna take you to see The Princess now okay? Can you do that for me?"
Emily smiled back "Okay, who is she?"
"She is Princess Celestia, he replied, and she is the ruler of Equestria. When you see her, you must show respect."
"Okay."
As they walked through the forest eerie wails broke the silence.Similar to wolves, but rough and unearthly.
"Timber wolves. Three if I'm not mistaken." Mumbled Orion. He looked back over his shoulder. "BE READY FOR ATTACK!"
"ARRRRRRROOOOOOO!!!
Three timber wolves jumped out of the shadows. They growled and sprang on Orion and the yellow pony. The gray pony shot at the wolves but succeeded in nothing but making noise.Emily charged at the nearest wolf, and tore at apart before attacking the next. Finally the last wolf ran off, but not without damage.Orion! He HAS to be okay!
*Orion lay near the yellow pony, who was dead, he looked up at Emily. "We sure showed `em eh?"*
*"Will you be okay?"*
*" I'v been through worse."*
*Emily lifted him up, which wasn't easy, considering the pony was half her size.The gray pony dragged the dead pony along.The sun was hidden among the leaves, Making everything cold and spooky.*
*" Is there a name for this forest?" Emily asked.*
*" The Everfree." Huffed the gray pony.*
*"You a bit grumpy today?"*
*"Shut up."*
*A small town came into view, more ponies scurried about.Something stirred them up.Thought Emily.Was it me?They stared as Emily came by dragging Orion behind. The gray pony struggled to keep then away.*
*"What is it?"*
*"It looks mean."*
*"What will the Princess think of it?"*
*"Orion!"*
*A white pony with a pink mane ran to them.*
*"Is he okay?She asked."I'm his sister, Sugar Shine. Is he okay?"*
*Emily blinked. "I'm sure he`ll be fine. But you can help if you want. That grey pony is tired no matter what he says."*
*A crowd of ponies followed them, shouting out questions and scared wails. Emily looked at Orion. His eyes were glassy with pain. He groaned, bringing tears to Sugar Shine's eyes. There was a castle ahead, but they weren't even half way there before a royal carriage stopped by them. As soon as they got on an alicorn began asking questions.This must be the princess Orion was talking about.**Thought Emily.* Six other ponies were there as well, but the carriage didn't seem very crowded.**
The Princess eyed her suspiciously. "Who and what are you?"
"I'm a human, and my name is Emily."
"A human?" Exclaimed The Princess. " I think I remember hearing of them." The Princess closed her eyes. Then she turned to the purple pony. "Twilight? Have you ever heard of a human?"
"No, but I'm sure Emily will be happy to tell us." She turned to Emily. " What do humans do?"
She sighed. " Humans are complicated, even for other humans. We are strong and smart, have amazing technology, but some people are mean, racist and stupid. They use technology to bomb and kill other countries." She sighed again. "But not all humans are like that, most are kind and compassionate. I'v always wanted to be a vet, because I love animals. And can we please hurry? I want Orion to get help as soon as possible."
The Princess nodded. " We'll drop him off at a hospital first, then go to the castle. I expect we'll have a lot to talk about."
"I am aware that we got off at a strange start but I am Princess Celestia, ruler of Equestria." She unfurled her wings. " I'll leave it to the girls to introduce you to Equestria, but know you are always welcome to come back to ask questions. Farewell."
As they were walking along, the ponies began to introduce themselves. The purple unicorn was Twilight Sparkle. The light cyan pegasus was Rainbow Dash. ( Who seemed to be the most awesome.) The orange and pink ones were Applejack and Pinkie Pie. Another unicorn and pegasis were introduced as Fluttershy and Rarity. It was hard to go anywhere without drawing stares, gasps, and screams. But Emily kept her head held high.
"Ooo! Ooo! Lets have a party for Emily then everyone in Ponyville can be friends with her!" Said Pinkie. "And there can be balloons and streamers and music and presents and- oh it's just to fun to think about! Pinkie jumped up and down until she fell.
"That sounds good." Agreed Emily. "I love a good party, but I think most will be too scared to come. She faked a roar. "Because I'm the Big Bad Human! RO"- Three fillies on a scooter crashed into them, they turned the scooter around and sped back. They stopped by Emily.
"What in Equestria ARE you?" Cried a little yellow filly with the big red bow. She looked her up and down and turned to the orange one. "What do you think Scootaloo?"
"I don't know ask Applejack."
"Applejack?"
"A human. And her name is Emily."
"A human? What the hay is a human?" Said Scootaloo.
As the fillies and Emily became acquainted Pinkie Pie set up the party a surprising number of ponies arrived, some shied away, but most asked questions. Scootaloo whispered something into Emily's ear, and then smiled.
"EXTREME WRESTING MATCH WITH EQUESTRIA'S FIRST HUMAN!!" Shouted Scootaloo. "Who's first?"
A brown earth pony swagged up to Emily. He spat and pounced. Emily easily side stepped it, a smug grin on her face. The brown pony glared at her and tried a right hook. Emily didn't move this time, and on purpose. The pony grinned, but stopped when she saw Emily wearing the evilest grin you can imagine. She took a step towards him and he dashed away.
"Sorry than wasn't much of a fight guys, but he was too cocky, and he would of made me mad, And I don't want to hurt anyone." Apologized Emily." Let's keep going."
A blue filly with a yellow mane sprang on her. Emily pretended to be knocked of her feet. She shrank back as the filly took a step forward. Emily winked at Scootaloo and whimpered. "No! Please don't hurt me! It's not fair! A weak little human against a big strong pony! Someone help me!"
The filly punched her. "Shet up'n fight human, ah no yer fakin"
"I don't want to hurt you."
"Ah don't care, I wanna fight to fight, not to be babied by a stupid worthless-" Emily punched him in the face, he staggered back and glared, " You don't ferget theh name Blue Blaze, yuh hear? I'd watch muh back if'' wer you!
"Your evil, I can feel it.
"Yer stupid, I know it.
Blue Blaze stomped out of the room and slammed the door. Emily watched him go and wiped blood from her mouth, " I don't want to hurt anyone... I really don't... who was that?"
Rainbow Dash walked up and patted her back, " Who cares? Let's party!'
" I'll pass, I can't believe I just did that! I should of backed out, but now someone hates me! Back home I wouldn't of cared, but I barely know were I am!" She put her head down, then looked up with a grin, " Do you wanna race?"
Emily sighed, after getting a draw in a race with Rainbow, she was tired. She sat up when someone knocked the door, "Come in!" She called. A orange pony with a white mane staggered to her, two ponies flanking him. "Orion! Are you okay?" She hugged him, minding the injuries, " Are you hurting? How's the grumpy grey one?"
" Mr. Grumpy Grey One's right here." He grinned, or at least tried to. He held at his hoof, " Look, I know we got of wrong and I yelled at you but, you saved Orie and"- Orion punched him, "Don't call me Orie."
Emily grinned, "I get it, save yourself the embarrassment of an apology."
"My name is Storm Cloud."
"Well that name fits."
" So they say."
After they left, Emily sank back into bed. She immediately found herself in a dream, walking along the barren land of a battlefield. Blood stained the ground and weapons lay around, a few dead bodies lay about. "Where am I?"
Thought Emily as she heard screeching far off. She crept over a ridge and saw a horrific battle in front of her. Ponies and griffins lay, dying, calling out something desperately.
Wait? Are they calling to me?!
