Equestria, once a peaceful land full of frolicking little ponies. They once live and roam these vast land, happily living their life to their content, but all that changed after their arrival. Cavity Creeps, giant black bipedal monsters that are responsible for the near extermination of ponykind.
These colossal beast appeared out of nowhere and they appeared in large numbers. These beast ravaged the land, destroying homes and devouring ponies. Everywhere they go they leave behind a trail of destruction and carnage.
The ponies tried to fight off these creatures, but sadly it only result in adding more casualties to their numbers. One by one cities and towns fell to the giants onslaught. With ponies on the brink of extinction a new strategy was formed. Using the most powerful of magic the unicorns cast a spell around one of the last standing cities in Equestria, the spell created large white pillars surrounding the town.
Upon closer inspection the walls were made of the same as teeth. Now with the walls in place the ponies has set up their army along the teeth wall, preparing for the attacking of the creeps. These ponies must be diligent, otherwise the creeps will break through and they will lose their last haven of ponykind.
In a army barrack located near the center of the city, a light blue unicorn wearing a short light brown jacket was standing near a wall, waiting patiently. The blue unicorn's mane is split between two colors: one side is grey, the other dark blue. The lone mare was equipped with straps, covering her body. There was also a mechanical device on top her plot, with two large tooth brushes, one on each side.
The little device she carries is called a three dimensional maneuver gear or 3DMG, provides the wearer fast travel around the city. Basically the device fires a string of dental floss, the floss attaches itself to something and then the wearer activates the mechanical devices to pull themselves into that direction.
As the unicorn was standing around she suddenly heard the sound of the door opening. Turning to face the door she spotted a unicorn wearing the same outfit as her. The new pony is named Sparkler, she is light purple unicorn with her mane split into two different shades of purple, one lighter and the other darker.
"Hello, Colgate" the purple unicorn said to her squad leader, "Where the hay are the others?"
The blue unicorn, named Colgate just sigh. "Not sure" she stated as she trotted to the nearest window. "The others should've been here by now'." She stared through the window into the empty street below.
In her mind the blue unicorn was wandering what's taking the rest of her team to arrive. They needed to be here so that when they are called, they will all be ready for action. Luckily the the army hasn't given the signal yet, but she fear that they might do it soon.
With nothing to do but wait, Colgate decides to make some small talk with Sparkler. "So do you know where the others are?" she asked.
"No, Ma'am" Sparkler responded. "I haven't seen any of the other while I was out there."
"I see" was all Colgate said, before returning to the silence.
Colgate wished to say something to Sparkler, but choose not. While she knew her when they were young, she barely knows anything about the purple unicorn. The reason for this was because she is always busy with work and Sparkler doesn't really talk about herself much. All she knows about the purple unicorn is that they went to the same school together and that she has sister, Dinky she thought.
She really wished Roseluck was here. She is a pale yellow earth mare with raspberry color hair, she was the one to introduce Sparkler to her. Speak of the devil, the same sound of the door opening revealed the same pony Colgate was thinking about.
"Hey girls, am I late" Roseluck trotted in. She greeted Sparkler then trotted to her blue friend, Colgate. "Hey, how is my favorite blue unicorn is doing?" the mare asked sounding cheerfully.
Colgate turn her head towards her friend and gave her a questionable look. "I don't exactly see how you can be so cheerful when their is creep attack going?" she questioned the earth pony.
A smile slowly form on the pale yellow pony's face. "Well Colgate, I'm just trying to be optimistic here." She answered back. "You'll never be able to deal with everyday life being a negative Nancy,"
Colgate couldn't help but, smile at her friend's response. It never fails to amaze just how optimistic her friend can be, despite what happened to her a few years ago.
Long ago when they were young, Roseluck had two friends, Daisy and Lily. These three were the best of friends and were rarely ever apart. That was until that tragic day. The cavity creeps were once again attacking the teeth wall, which drew the attention of the army to deal with them.
Unknown to the ponies an abnormal has climb over the wall and snuck into the city. It then went on a rampage, destroying buildings and devouring ponies. The police were not trained to take down these colossal giant ad could do little to stopped it.
The creature's rampage went on for a few hours, until a squad from the army managed to take down the beast. Unfortunately not before taking the lives of a hundred ponies, among them are Roseluck's two friends. Ever since that day Roseluck was never the same. The once happy filly was all silent and sad. Luckily a certain blue unicorn managed to get her out of that state and brought back the happy little filly.
"So what took you so long, Roseluck?" Colgate said, trying to refocus at the task at hoof. "You're usually not this late."
"Well Captain" Roseluck said in a cheery tone. "If you must know, I was stopping a potential thief from breaking into a house."
" You know that is the job for the police force right?" her blue friend pointed out.
"Well hey, I was in the neighborhood and just spotted the guy." Roseluck answered back. "Besides, the thief would have been gone by now before those slowpokes could get arrive."
As the two friends chatted on, Sparkler remained sitting on a chair waiting. To past the time Sparkler decides to reminisce about the past. While thinking of all the good time she had when she was little filly, her memory instantly brought up a horrifying one.
Her memories brought up the moment of the abnormal attack. She could still remember it now, staring at the huge black titan. Watching the monster picking up ponies and stuffing them in his huge mouth. She witness it first hoof and it still gives her nightmares.
Sparkler then shook head, trying refocus herself. 'No' she mentally shouted to herself. She needs to focus and stay calm if they are going to succeed.
After a couple minutes of waiting the last two members finally arrived. One was black coated pegasus named Thunderlane and the other one is scarlet coated pegasus named Energy Wave.
Thunderlane was another pony Colgate knew back in the old days. She didn't want to admit it, especially not to him, but she kinda had a crush on him. Way back when they were in school, Thunderlane was a very popular kid, colts want to be like him and filly wanted to be with him.
Then came the same tragic event that effect almost everypony. The day the abnormal attacked, Thunderlane's parents were among the casualties. Now it just him and his little brother Rumble.
The other pegasus Energy Wave, is a recent new member of the squad and the only pony she didn't knew. The only information she got from him are the files on him. According to the files, Energy was from the slums in the far south section of the city. Eventually his family earned enough to move to better section of the city. He then joined the army to help earn income for his small family, which consist his mother, grandma, and his two little brother and sister.
He originally wanted a position that have him far away from the wall as possible, but due his excellence score in practices. His superior made him joined Colgate band of elite troops.
"So what took you two so long to get here" Colgate demanded from her two subordinates. The black grey pegasus saluted the blue unicorn. "Colgate, I was on my way here, but spotted Energy here going off a different direction."
Colgate turn her attention from Thunderlane to Energy Wave and glared. "Um" Energy said nervously. "would believe that high command has summoned me to the inner city?" he smiled.
She was not amused by his answer. This was not the first time the red pegasus tried to slip away from his duties. If she was another pony they would've label him a traitor and sent to jail. Luckily Colgate was more lenient, but even she has her limits.
At first Energy was very uncooperative, before she always use the threat of court marshal in order to get him to follow orders. Nowadays he is more cooperative but, always try to find ways to skip his duties.
Deciding to ignore Energy poor excuse, she proceeds with the task at hoof. But the thing is the task is basically just them waiting for their superiors to signal them. Yes, Colgate's elite squad of ponies are put on reserve until the army needs back up.
Rather disappointed, but as a good soldier she'll follow orders. To past the time the time Colgate went over procedures in dealing with cavity creeps and strategies.
While the blue mare talked about plan and strategies, Sparkler was assigned to keep watch outside in case they get a signal. Just then a loud pop noise came from across the city, the purple unicorn recognizes their signal by the color of the flare.
Upon seeing the flare, Sparkler yelled out to her teammates and they sprung into action. Sparkler activated her 3DMG and swing across the city. Colgate and Roseluck activate their devices and caught up Sparkler. The two pegasus of the group didn't use their devices but, instead use their wings and fly.
After a couple of minutes of traversing across the huge city, Colgate and her Crest team saw the wall they were inform to go to. The wall was in chaos!, there was a cavity creep on top of the wall assaulting the soldiers on top. Things weren't looking good the other side of the wall, the colossal beast were smashing onto the wall, leaving bits of cracks on the teeth wall.
The Crest squad reached the wall, both the pegasus targeted the one on top the wall. Energy Wave drew its attention away from the soldiers to him by stabbing the brush into his left eye. The beast yelped at the sudden pain and reacted quickly, he lifted his large hand and tried to smash the tiny pest.
Energy Wave flew out of the way, resulting the beast smashing his own face. Taking advantage of the creature's stunned state, Thunderlane landed behind the beast's neck. He then proceeds to a toothpaste dispenser on his large toothbrush and proceeds to on the exposed neck.
The toothpaste acts like acid to the cavity creeps, which then starts melting away portion of his neck. Eventually the toothpaste acid reach the top part of his spine, instantly killing it. The abnormal creeps starts to tilt, until it fell over to the other side. In the process the abnormal crushed another creep on the way down.
With the threat gone, the soldiers resumes their post and start loading the toothpaste cannons. While they were doing that the Crest squad are taking care of the creeps below. The team combated these titan with such grace. Colgate, Roseluck, and Sparkler swing between these beast and brushing behind their necks, Thunderlane and Energy Wave flew circles around them. They seem to act more like acrobats then actual soldiers.
The squad did their best in taking on these creeps, they managed to take some of them down. However, for some it was close call for these elite ponies.
Then from atop the team got a call from the army, telling them to get out of the way. The troops on top loaded their toothpaste cannons and fired upon the hordes of creeps. Upon the touching their rock hard skin the creatures screamed in agony, the paste started to melt their body. One by one the giant fell or crumbled.
With the job done Colgate called the team to meet on top, but before she could do anything she was immediately struck down by a large black hand.
The pain was immense when she crashed to the ground, the next thing shew saw was a melting creep looming over her. The beast's back was covered in toothpaste and it was slowly melting away. This however, didn't stop him from attacking the blue unicorn.
Colgate couldn't move, she injured her legs and the 3DMG broke upon crashing to the ground. She stared at the beast looking straight at her. She couldn't know what he was thinking, but she could presume that if it was going down, he wasn't going alone.
The black titan slowly raised his right arm and went towards the defenseless pony. Colgate could practically see whole life flash before her eyes. She saw her first birthday, first day of school, her friends, her family, and many more.
The blue mare smiled, she lived a good life. If this is how it will end, then at least she'll die knowing she lived a good life. She closed her eyes and prepare for her end. Suddenly she felt something grabbing her and lifting her up.
She opened her eyes and saw Thunderlane holding onto her. To keep herself from falling, she put her two hoof around his neck and held on tight. She would be lying if she wasn't blushing at be this close their her childhood crush.
Remembering the creep that almost got her, she turned her head and saw the beast collapsing. It has finally succumbed to the acid burning and died.
Thunderlane flew up to the top of the teeth wall, while carrying his injured leader. Upon reaching to the top Thunderlane slowly lower Colgate to the ground, the rest of her team gather around her to see if she was alright. In the middle of all this somepony called in a medic.
The army medic, Nurse Redheart went up the injured blue mare and started to treat her wounds. Colgate relaxed as the nurse did her duty, she then turned her around to face the land outside the wall. She knew there was more out there, slowly making their way here.
They may have won the battle, but they have yet won the war against the cavity creeps. Then something dark came into her head, she realized that the only way this will end is one side to exterminate the other. She fears that the creeps might be closer to their goals.
The blue unicorn then mentally shook the thoughts out of her head. 'No' she told herself in her mind, she can't have depressing thoughts like this. She needs to stay strong, she needs inspire ponies, to let them know that there is still hope.
The creeps may have pushed them the corner, but they won't give up that easy. They will continue fighting and they will continue surviving.
Once her wounds has been treated she was carried away by her teammates. For now she'll rest, she's going to need the energy if she is going to set an example for her people.
