Invisible Touch

Less than lively, seemingly boring, and more quiet than usual would serve as truthful aspects of two atmospheres. The first was that of the streets of Ponyville, usually at a more upbeat pace of life, and ruled by the spring of daily commotion. Instead, it was settled, unmoving, and getting late.
A similar story could be told in the upstairs bedroom of the Golden Oaks Library. However, there was also a another tale being told in this room. This tale was peaceful but intense, boring but exciting, cool but still knowledgeable. This tale was--
"Wait a minute, what?" Rainbow said, interrupting Twilight as she read to her.
This tale was a Daring Do book.
"What?" Twilight looked at Rainbow quizzically. "What's up?"
"You said 'mythological'."
Twilight had a difficult time trying to find a response. "Yes...? And...?"
Rainbow furrowed her eyebrows and pointed at the word in the book. "What's the big idea? You said it wasn't pronounced like that."
"Like what?"
"Mythological. You said it was pronounced like myth-AHlogical."
Twilight looked at the word, then back at Rainbow. "Uhhh... no...? When did I ever say that? I don't remember that..."
Rainbow tried to word this correctly. "Oh, well, uh... Ya know... Tuesday... I think...?" She blushed. "Somewhere around there, probably..."
Twilight went over her memory of Tuesday. She couldn't remember exactly what had happened that day. She then noticed Rainbow's blush and ran over Tuesday's events once more.
Ah, yes. Tuesday night.
She blushed, as well.
"Oh..." she managed to say, giving off a small, slightly embarrassed smile. "Yeah." She chuckled nervously.
"Y-yeah," Rainbow copied, uncomfortably shifting to lay on her side, her body facing away from Twilight.
Twilight remained blushing for a short while before she spoke up again with a bit of confusion. "Wait, no I didn't. I never said it was pronounced like that. I've always pronounced it the right way. Like 'mythological'."
Rainbow shifted again slightly, turning to barely look at her. "Well, that's not what I heard, Twi. I could've sworn you pronounced it the other way."
Glancing at the book once more, Twilight looked at the word, thinking over the event of Tuesday night.
Her cheeks grew red. She had to stop.
She turned to Rainbow nervously. "Look, I don't remember everything that took place Tuesday night, but I'm fairly certain there wasn't any miscommunication between us." She looked away. "We were very... in tune..."
Rainbow merely nodded in response. "Yeah." She then looked down at here hooves. "But still, I'm fairly certain that's how you said it."
The unicorn turned toward her again, eyeing her with a raised brow. "...Are you trying to reference Tuesday as much as possible?"
The cyan Pegasus was taken back slightly. "What? No! I mean..." She wondered if her face would ever be blue again. "...It's not like I'm trying to forget it or anything, but I'm not necessarily trying to rile either of us up, 'cause... Well... I just--"
Twilight put a hoof on Dash's shoulder. "Don't hurt yourself, Rainbow."
Rainbow smiled. She then returned her marefriend's gesture. "I'm fine..." She then raised an eyebrow. "But wait... Are you trying to avoid talking about Tuesday?"
Twilight looked at... something. She couldn't decide what to look at. Anything but the mare beside her, at the moment. "...no."
Rainbow tried not to giggle. "Yeah..." She let out a single breath a laugh. "...right. You're trying to avoid it." She watched as her marefriend shook her head in annoyance. "Why, though?"
Twilight glared at her. "I'm not avoiding it, I'm just... taking extra precautions."
"For what?"
"What do you mean for what?"
"Why would you need to take any extra precautions? It's not like there's anything to be cautious about..."
"By Celestia, Rainbow! Of course there is!" She closed the book harshly and sat up. "For one, nopony knows about us--"
"Uhhh... Yeah they do."
"Us, Rainbow. No, they don't."
"Oh."
"Second off, if anypony did find out, it's very unclear toward how they would react. And thirdly, I know that word was pronounced correctly on Tuesday!"
Rainbow sat up and raised her hooves in front of her. "Whoa, hey... I'm not sure how that word got into the conversation again, but you need to cool it, Twi." She leaned over and gave Twilight a loving hug, softening the unicorns nerves. "Look, I didn't mean to push you that far, okay? I'm sorry..." She sat back and held Twilight in a lighter embrace, looking at her directly. "However, what if our friends did find out, huh? How would they react? I mean, they're our friends for a reason... And it's more than just saving Equestria."
Twilight down and a little off to the side. "...yeah," she almost whispered.
"In fact..." Rainbow continued, lifting Twilight's chin with a hoof. "...I think we should let them know pretty soon. Tomorrow, if it's alright with you."
As Twilight thought about it, she couldn't really imagine a bad ending to this scenario. "...Alright." She nodded slowly, smiling weakly.
Rainbow began to stroke her cheek. "And besides, they would say you said myth-AHlogical, anyway."
Twilight scoffed. "Oh, cut it out." She turned around and folded her forelegs. In doing so, she noticed the time on the bedside table. She then proceeded to lay down, throwing the covers over herself with her magic. "It's late, Dashie. Just go to sleep, okay?"
Rainbow frowned, left in the dust of her own small joke. "Oh, come on, I was kidding!"
Twilight turned out the lights with her magic.
Rainbow sighed. "Whatever... Can I at least sleep here tonight?"
She watched as the covers were moved with magic to make room for her.
"Thanks, Twi."
The only response she could see was the unicorn tugging the covers tighter around herself.
Shrugging, Rainbow then proceeded to lay down, as well. With one last thought lingering in her mind, she decided to share it with Twilight, as a seemingly pointless tear ran down her cheek. "Ya know, Twi... I may not always like you so much... but I will always, always love you. I hope you knew that already, but I just wanted to remind you, just so you can always remember it. Because it's true."
She heard a single sniffle from the unicorn.
Sighing, she decided to let it go for now, laying her head down.
Thump.
"...ow." She lifted her head back up and turned to see the Daring Do book still sitting there. It was closed, as Twilight had done so with it. Carefully, she grabbed it and put it under the bed for the time being.
Twilight, taking in Rainbow's final words for the night, let both of her eyes water to a degree. A few tears slid down to the bed sheets, wetting them a little here and there. She smiled a little. Despite how she felt about her marefriend's actions, she couldn't deny how she would always feel in the end. She would do anything for that Pegasus, even if it eventually added up to her own demise.
This is what she knew was called love. And she knew it meant Rainbow would do the same for her.
Even if they didn't agree on everything, or hardly anything, they would be there for each other in the end.
Ah, the magic of loyalty.
Still, though, there were just things she couldn't let go of, and she would always end up trying to talk the Pegasus into a different opinion. These sorts of things would happen all the time, and she sometimes knew how to hold a grudge pretty badly.
She knew this night would not be any kind of exception to that. She just couldn't let go of it this time. It was trivial, she knew, but she also knew she had absolutely, positively, completely pronounced mythological correctly.
Leaning over the edge of the bed, she pulled out a plushy she had received as a birthday present from Dash herself. The plushy itself was that of an ego-feeder, yet still a fine gift for a special somepony like Twilight.
It was a Rainbow Dash plushy.
Carefully, she hid it under sheets with her, so as to not let Rainbow be aware of it.
She had always wanted to try this spell, but she had never really found a halfway decent reason for it until now. And now was as good a time as she would probably ever find. Focusing her magic, she... she...
...she couldn't remember it. She couldn't remember the spell.
Voicing a soft, frustrated growl, she levitated a book from her personal bookshelf. The shelf of books she kept mainly to herself, and sometimes Rainbow Dash. She moved the book over to herself, wondering why she had forgotten this spell in the first place.
As she flipped through the pages, she tried to remember exactly what page it was on. Had it really been that long? She had received it about... four, five months ago...? Surely she should have remembered it more clearly than she had...
Stumbling across a few detailed images, along with several descriptive passages, her eyes widened, and she closed the book quickly but quietly. She now remembered how the spell worked, as well as why she had forgotten it so quickly.
When one doesn't practice often, one tends to not remember how or what it was they didn't practice.
She had not practiced, for she hadn't the need.
Levitating the book back to its rightful place on the shelf, she blushed and looked lifted up the sheets a bit to look at the Rainbow plushy. Now that she thought about it, this would actually be quite fun. She might actually get a good laugh out of it.
Having the spell in mind once more, she focused her horn to cast. A light-pink aura glowed, starting from her horn, extending to the doll, and then ending by glowing around her bed companion.
She smirked. Rainbow hadn't the faintest idea that this even happening.
As she rolled over to look at Rainbow once more, her smirk faltered a little. Just a little. She looked as if an angel itself had placed her in bed and kissed her goodnight. There was a faint smile upon her lips, bringing a small happiness to her face. Her position was uncomplicated, simple. There was something about her that made her seem more innocent than Twilight knew her to be.
She was cute. Just adorable. Like a sleeping foal.
Maybe Twilight had taken it a bit too hard...
She really did love her too much, didn't she?
Frowning, the lavender pony couldn't decide if she should really use the spell anymore. Rainbow wasn't trying to cause a fight, after all. However, Twilight still wanted to try out this spell...
Eh, Rainbow would probably end up enjoying it, anyway.
She readied her hoof and slowly moved it toward the doll. Gently, she slid it down its belly...

"And I thought you were trying to avoid any thoughts of Tuesday, Twi..."
Twilight smirked as she sat atop Rainbow's hips, slowly caressing down her belly, reaching lower boundaries with each movement. "I changed my mind, Dashie. Things always change, right?"
"Y-yeah..." Dash uttered weakly, entirely under the effects of Twilight's touch. Her eyes fluttered closed, relishing in being completely defenseless against her captor.
As she felt Twilight's hoof descend further, she grew more anxious, eagerly waiting the touch between her legs. She felt it stop just above her area, lingering there and causing her to bite her lip.
"You want it." It wasn't a question.
Rainbow nodded.
"Tell me." Twilight smiled devilishly.
Rainbow paused for a moment, and then proceeded to voice her desire. "I want it," she chimed.
"How bad?"
"So bad...!"
"How much?"
"Oh, you wouldn't believe how much...!"
"Oh?"
"So, so much, Twi!" She was losing her breath. "I need it so much, I could almost burst!"
"You want it?" It was a question.
Rainbow opened her eyes, staring at the pony before her, straddling her, her hoof ready to glide across her already soaking marehood. She then looked Twilight in the eyes and spoke with pure lust.
"I want you."
Before the unicorn even had time to raise her eyebrows, Rainbow had pulled her down with her, coat to coat, kissing her hungrily and grinding against her hind leg.
It was then she realized she couldn't feel it. She couldn't feel anything, actually.
As any feeling she had began fade, she sat up in bed and--
--actually opened her eyes.
The lights were out, she was still in Twilight's bed, and the unicorn herself was tucked away on the other side.
She calmed her breathing, almost unaware that she had been breathing fast in the first place. She laid back down in bed, letting out a disappointed sigh.
A dream? Ten seconds ago was just a dream? She was so sure it was real, she could still feel the remnants of Twilight's caress just below her belly.
She looked at her companion, who was unmoving, at peace and seemingly frozen in place, aside from occasional ear twitches and comfort adjustments. The back of her head was displayed for Rainbow, so her face was not visible at the moment.
Just then, what felt like a hoof was sliding down to her folds, gliding across them and earning a non-relaxed moan from her. She had wanted it so bad, and now she finally receiving the contact so sought after...
But... that was only in the dream, right?
In her state of mind, she didn't know what to think, so she went about it with actions instead. She lifted the sheets.
What she saw - or rather, didn't see - shocked her a bit, but confused her for the most part. She didn't know what she was feeling. It felt so good, but it didn't make any sense. It felt like a hoof between legs, but she couldn't see one. It just wasn't there.
...But it sure felt like it was there.
"...mmm...!"
And boy did it feel good.
Figuring she should let Twilight know about this, she nudged the unicorn, attempting to contain her quiet moaning. "Hey, Twi? Are you... mmf..." She threw her head back. "Are you awake?"
After getting no sort of response, she turned over - with some difficulty - to see if Twilight was still awake. She gently prodded her back with a hoof.
The feeling on her marehood became more intense, and it felt like the hoof was moving faster on her clitoris. She shut her eyes tight, and her frame began gyrating almost on its own. Her breathing became unbalanced and her lips trembled. This was beginning to scare her.
She felt like kissing somepony right now.
Her mind filled with more and more lust, her cares being lifted slowly, she turned to Twilight again, hoping to melt away this strange intrusion. She gently lifted the blankets, hearing a subtle whisper.
"No, no, no, no...!"
Her hunger finally taking over, Rainbow turned the unicorn over to see her eyes wide and awake. She didn't care. She needed a good lip-lock.
She lunged forward and caught Twilight's lips with her own. She then hugged her and closed her eyes, feeling the unicorn kiss back somewhat reluctantly. As she felt her hug back, the feeling between her legs had come to a stop. She couldn't feel it anymore.
Had it really just... stopped?
Why?
Maybe Twilight had something to do with it...
Ending the kiss, she pulled back and opened her eyes. "Twilight..."
Twilight opened her eyes, as well. "What, Dashie? What's the matter?"
Rainbow stared for a few seconds. Twilight seemingly shrunk under her gaze. "You don't really seem... surprised... by any of this..."
Twilight's gaze went this way and that. "What do you mean?"
Rainbow began to put a few pieces together. Of course, Twilight had been awake the entire time, but what for? Was she the cause of the invisible feeling she had? "I just started kissing you out of nowhere, right? And it almost seems like you expected it. What's with that?"
Twilight rubbed the back of her neck nervously. "Well, I guess things can get heated between couples who... often build tension between one another..."
"Twi, that was a while ago."
"Oh... yeah, I guess so..." Twilight then sat up and straightened up the sheets around her. "So, what's the matter? Why did you start, uh... you know, kissing me?"
Rainbow sat up, as well, scratching her head. "Okay, do you--..." She hesitated. "...Do you know how to, uhm..." She started shaking her head slowly. "I dunno, I just got this feeling on my, uhm... ya know..." She pointed between her legs. Twilight nodded. "Y-yeah, and it felt like a hoof. A lot like a hoof, actually." She blushed a deep shade of red. "It felt really good, but it was just, weird. I couldn't really see anything when I looked down there, but I could still feel it." She then folded her forelegs and started rocking back and forth. "I'm a little freaked out right now..."
Twilight cleared her throat.
"And a little horny," Rainbow added.
Twilight cleared her throat again, more obnoxiously this time. "Well, I uh... guess I could suggest a few medicines... Or some sleeping tips... Or maybe you just need a little, well, relief...?" She grinned a sheepish one.
Rainbow shook her head slowly. "I don't think that's it, hon'."
Twilight looked briefly at the area between Rainbow's legs before trying to find something, anything else to look at. "Well, there's always..." she trailed off.
"What? Always what?"
Twilight looked at her again. "Sometimes one may have physical hallucinations. Like your body may feel something, simply because your body wants to feel it. So, if that's what happened to be what you were experiencing, then that would mean you were unconsciously seeking relief, I guess." Twilight blushed. "I-I'd be willing to help if that's the case, but if not then that's fi--"
"Twi?"
"Yeah?"
Rainbow felt a single tear roll down her cheek. "W-would you mind just holding me right now?"
"What?"
"H-hold me? Please?"
Twilight raised her eyebrows. She didn't think it would cause her marefriend so much pain. It was just a little touch between her legs...
...that she couldn't see...
...and it probably would creep somepony out if ever happened to them...
What had she done?
"Come here..." She held out her forelegs, inviting Rainbow in for a gentle embrace.
The cyan Pegasus shakily scooted over to her and accepted, embracing the unicorn in return. She nuzzled into Twilight's forelegs, resting her head on the lavender pony's shoulder. She closed her eyes and sighed, relishing in the feeling of being rocked gently.
"What's wrong with me, Twi?"
Twilight said nothing. She couldn't. She knew she should, but a small part of her didn't want to. "I wish I could help, Dashie." She then felt Rainbow shift her position on her shoulder.
"Huh... Haven't seen that in a while."
Twilight's eyes widened, knowing full well what she was talking about. She chuckled nervously. "Oh. You haven't? It's always been under my bed..."
"Hm." Rainbow stared at the stuffed Pegasus. "Can I see it for a second?"
The unicorn's heartbeat increased rapidly. She tried weakly to hold Dash back from reaching it. "Can't you see it from where you are?"
Rainbow snorted. "Very funny, Twi. You know what I mean."
Not wanting to cause any tension, Twilight sighed heavily. She moved a little, allowing Rainbow to reach the plushy. 'Here comes the hurricane...'
Stretching a little, Rainbow reached down and grabbed the stuffed version of herself with both hooves. Immediately, she felt a pressure on both of her sides.
Maybe she was still a little achy from practice.
Bringing it closer to herself, she looked it over and admired the detail that was put into its mane. Her mane.
She smirked.
Twilight rolled her eyes.
Rainbow lifted a hoof to run it across the mane of the stuffed Pegasus. As she did so, it was as if irony smack her upside the head. Only, it did exactly as her own hoof was currently doing.
She dropped the doll, and it landed in her lap. Her eyes were wide. Her breathing sped increasingly. She began to scoot away, reaching and trying to find Twilight's comforting embrace.
When she had enough trouble, she looked in her direction. She then retracted her hoof.
Twilight was crying.
'Did I do something wrong?'
Rainbow was very hesitant to speak. Or do anything really, but she knew something had to be done. "Did I do something wrong, Twilight?"
The lavender unicorn tried to stop her crying so she could speak, but she couldn't find her voice through her tears.
Rainbow reached over and rested her hoof on Twilight's.
Twilight found the courage to speak.
"It..." Her voice cracked. "...It's not you, Rainbow Dash." She felt Rainbow loop her hooves around her. "It's just me." She sniffed. "Me and my stupid, stupid grudges..."
Rainbow leaned back and looked her in the eye. "The doll. That's what I was feeling, wasn't it?"
Twilight could only nod. Her sobbing grew.
"You used a spell on it to make it like a voodoo doll..."
She nodded again. "Y-yes..."
"You used it on me because you were still mad at me..."
Twilight tried to stop her crying. "That's not all of it, though... I-I did kind of want to try out the spell, and I thought that you would enjoy it at least a little. Apparently... I was wrong...!" She looked away from Rainbow and began to cry harder.
Rainbow could only stare at the scene before her. Her marefriend was crying because of her own mistake. It was apparent that she already felt terrible about it, so the least she could do was not cause her anymore grief about it.
"Why should I even be called your friend anymore, let alone your marefriend? It just started with a stupid word... And I took it way too far..." She buried her face in her hooves. "Friends don't do that."
Rainbow couldn't believe what she was hearing. And she didn't want to. Twilight was in tears, and it start out as a completely trivial matter. She needed to fix this.
"Twi?"
Twilight didn't even look at her. "What?" she sobbed. Rainbow reached over and lifted her chin with a hoof. Twilight's eyes were colored with red, lined with pain.
Rainbow had a good pun in mind, but she knew that almost anything else would be better at the moment. "You may know how to hold a grudge, but I promise I could never. I'm too lazy."
Twilight didn't move. Her eyes darted all over, but were mainly pointed in Rainbow's direction.
"Pinkie Promise." The cyan pony ran through the motions of the special promise.
Twilight began to smile. She had been forgiven, and she hadn't even apologized yet. She hugged her marefriend close and affectionately. "How could I ever deserve a pony like you, Rainbow?"
Rainbow blushed and smiled back. "I often wonder the same thing about you."
The unicorn felt her heart warm. Letting the last of her tears fall, the unicorn turned her head toward Rainbow's, locking their lips together in a series of explosive emotions. Rainbow reciprocated her actions, kissing her back fully. She felt Twilight's hooves on her chest, tipping her backward, forcing her down onto the bed.
They kissed for hours, or so it seemed. Biting lips, dueling tongues, feeling the warmth of one another, and it was all part of the game. They would part to breathe, but would immediately return exploring each other's mouths again, filling the room with soft moans and wet noises.
Twilight stroked Rainbow's mane as they kissed, running it through the widely-colored strands. Rainbow spread her wings and used them to hug Twilight even closer. They couldn't be any closer than they were now.
Feeling the need for air once more, Twilight broke their kiss and looked at her lover, both panting quite heavily.
"I love you so much, Dashie," Twilight nearly cried out.
"I love you, too, Twi," Rainbow breathed out heavily.
They both stared at each other, smiling genuinely.
"I'm going to make love to you now, if you don't mind," Twilight said, lust growing in her voice.
"I have no qualms with that," Rainbow replied.
Twilight lowered her voice. "Wow... Qualms... That's a big word for you, Dashie..."
"My vocabulary's still increasing, hon'." She felt the unicorn reposition so their legs were situated between one another. Her mind was beginning to cloud up. "S-still lots of... new things... to l-learn..."
"May I offer my tutoring skills?"
"Be my guest. Teach me."
With a slow, but firm nod, Twilight gave her hips a small thrust, earning a moan from her Pegasus. She herself moaned after second thrust was in play by the Pegasus instead.
Rainbow began begging. "Please don't stop now, Twilight. Please...!"
A third, a fourth, a fifth, a few more to follow, and their rhythm had been built. As their clitorises rubbed and grinded together, they whimpered every so often, and would moan more. They would sometimes look in each other's eyes, just to know it was real. They were really doing this, and they were sharing it with each other.
Rainbow was the first to feel her peak approach. Her eyes were closed and her mouth hung open half-way. Her moaning became louder with each thrust she received and/or gave.
Twilight could feel her own climax approach, as well. However, she kept her eyes open instead. She observed Rainbow - albeit with some difficulty - as she had her eyes shut. She never imagined the cyan pony to be so non-dominant, especially in this kind of activity. She seemed to have let all of her guard down, utterly defenseless.
Twilight then leaned down and kissed Rainbow once more. Surprised, Rainbow quickly embraced her and kissed her back, feeling all over the unicorn's back and caressing her rump. They moaned into each other's mouths, still moving together, both their peaks rapidly approaching.
With a few lingering thrusts, Rainbow's senses were overwhelmed with glorious pleasure and stars in her vision. She hadn't opened her eyes yet, but she could feel the endurance through muscles, and the wonderfulness of sweet release.
Twilight almost felt no different. She was left on her own pace for close to three seconds before the same general feeling overcame her being. Her body gave off violent twitches here and there, and her mind was locked in bliss and complete ecstasy. She could feel both Rainbow's and her own fluids leaking down past where they met and into Rainbow's colorful tail.
When they were finally able to relax, they shared a few loving kisses, moving only their necks to meet other. Every other part of their bodies was completely worn out.
With a kiss that lingered longer than the others, Twilight pulled back reluctantly and looked at her lover, her breathing slowing with Rainbow's. She sighed, exhausted. "What're you thinking about, Rainbow?"
Rainbow opened her eyes and smiled back. "You. I can't think of anything else at the moment. I mean, it's kinda hard to get somepony out if your mind if you just had sex with them, ya know..."
Twilight chuckled lightly. "Huh. I thought you'd be thinking about Tuesday."
Rainbow shook her head. "Nah. Tuesday was more... creative, I guess. What are you thinking about right now?"
Twilight scratched her head. "Well, actually... I kind of just realized why you thought that word was pronounced myth-AHlogical."
Rainbow raised a brow. "Oh?"
"You had it mixed up with mythology."
Rainbow didn't know what to say. Had she really been that dumb?
She face-hoofed. "Oh my gosh..."
"Oh, don't kill yourself over it," Twilight comforted. "You'll be fine."
"It's just so dumb, though. It's the dumbest thing to give us both heart attacks over. I can't believe myself..."
Twilight kissed her again, briefly. "Look, I already told you not to get worked up about it. Are you really going to go through all that again?"
Rainbow frowned. "...noooo..."
"Good." They shared another kiss. "And plus, I think it's Dashie's nap time, anyway." Twilight then shifted her position to lay her head on a pillow.
Rainbow sat up, her eyebrows furrowed. "Uhhh, only I decide when it's my nap time, okay?"
Twilight merely rolled her eyes and sat up, looping her forelegs around Rainbow.
"Only I..." Twilight kissed her. "... decide when... mmmm... it's... mm, whatever..."
Twilight pulled her down to her pillow slowly. Yes, it was definitely her nap time.
She now knew it more than ever. They may be under the same roof, with the same rules, and in the same bed...
...but that didn't mean they had to agree on everything.
"Hey, Twi?"
"Yeah?"
"Can we finish that chapter tomorrow morning?"
"..."
"..."
"...Sure thing. Goodnight, Rainbow."
"Goodnight."
There would, however, be things they would always agree on.
