Story Description:
Reality is not something that can be defined easily, nor is it as rigid as most seem to think. Reality is like a cassette tape; it can be rewound, sped up, or paused. Pieces of the tape can be cut out or replaced, but too much tampering has the risk of permanently breaking it. This tape we call 'reality' is governed by the Council of Gods, who keep the balance between all things in all realities. And when the Gods make war, nothing is left unaffected. They rally their unwitting pawns, and choose one reality as their battleground. They are omnipotent and omnipresent, yet even they couldn't account for everything. Nothing could account for this one simple mistake— This one simple human....

Welcome to the complete re-imagining of my first foray into the world of fanfiction!
Anyone here from the original, take note: This is a much darker story than that one. You've been warned.
Most characters are the same, but only the most important plot points from the original will remain.
Anyone new, there are a few points to preemptively address before people start asking.
1. On the topic of ponification: This can't really be answered without spoilers, so only pay attention here if this topic is relevant to your interests. When humans go to Equestria, they become ponies. When ponies go to Earth, they become humans. Yes, there is a point where some stuff goes down on Earth, That's what the spoiler tag is for.
2. The original story was a self-insert, as are most author's first stories. This one is not. The character that was 'me' in the original still has the same name and appearance — like all the characters — but my personality is different enough now that I can no longer consider the character to be myself.
3. This story completely disregards all seasons of the show. Events from certain episodes may be referenced, but not every episode in the show has taken place in this continuity.
