My Princess, My Goddess, My Daughter
Nope. Never again. That’s never happening again. I am now incapable of sleep. To hyped.
A princess.
Me. Me. Twilight Sparkle, a silly unicorn- no, alicorn. Alicorn!
Me, silly Twilight Sparkle, known for being the librarian of the Golden Oaks Library, Ponyville.
And now- now I’m the princess of magic!
I was always told I was gifted, that I had real talent in the field of magic, but the princess of magic! It’s just absurd.
And...
Amazing.
I’m a proper princess as well, it’s not just a title like ‘Prince Blueblood’, but the real deal.
An alicorn.
Even now, as I lay in bed, I can feel the earth pony and pegasus magic flowing through me.
I look out the window, feeling the clouds as they lazily drift across the sky.
I lean my head out of the bed, I look down to the floor, underneath I can feel the dirt, I can sense the plants growing, their roots burrowing under the castle.
I get out of bed, like I said, I’m never sleeping again.
I begin to walk out of the glorious room I’m staying at, it’s massive, almost as big as my library, everything in it is designed to be as beautiful and comfortable as possible, and almost everything in the room is lavender or royal purple.
It’s a beautiful room. Fit for a princess.
It’s my room.
I step out of the amazing room, in the search of something interesting. I begin my adventure.
“Princess? Where are you going so late at night?” A voice calls.
The voice made me jump, I forgot I had personal guards. I turned to face the two purple guards, “I’m going for a walk.”
The guards stood at attention, “shall we follow, our princess?” Asked one of them.
“No, I’d like some alone time.”
“Ok, our princess, we shall wait here for you return.”
I walk off, I’m not quite used to the idea of having my own guards, but Princess Celestia says it’s a requirement that every princess as her own guards, so I’ll have to live with it.
But Celestia was very generous with the guards, she assures me that the two guards I have are the most powerful unicorns in the guard, and two of the most loyal, they even had their coats dyed purple just for me.
I bumped into something, I wasn’t that deep in thought, was I...? I wonder what I’ve bumped into? I wall perhaps...
I look up to see a large dark blue pony, I bow quickly, “Princess Luna! I apologize, I wasn’t looking where I was going...”
The night princess bows before me, “please forgive me, Princess Twilight!” She says, “I should have stepped out of the way when you were coming.” She raises her head and looks at me with a cheeky smile, “see how silly that sounds coming from another princess?”
I smiledsheepishly, “sorry, Princess-”
Luna holds a hoof up at me face, “Twilight, you are now my equal, so the formalities are pointless. Please, just call me Luna.”
“Ok... Luna.” I say awkwardly, I wonder if I’ll ever get used to the idea of me and Luna being equals...
“So Twilight, tell me, why are you out so late?” Luna asks me.
“I couldn’t get to sleep,” I say, “every time a cloud passes by I can feel it, same with the plants growing underneath the castle, and... it’s kinda distracting.” I look down at my hooves, in my head that sounded fine, but out loud, it makes me sound insane.
“Yes, it can get annoying, but don’t worry, you’ll get used to it.” Luna says.
Huh, I guess it didn’t sound as crazy as I thought.
“Twilight, how strongly do you feel the clouds and plants?” Luna asks me.
“Well... I know that right now, two feet to you’re right the roots of a large oak tree are growing.”
Luna looks at me, shocked.
“Oh, and right now, a cloud of approximately 3 square meters it floating just outside that window.” I point to a window on my right. Just as I said, a large cloud is floating by.
Luna looks extremely shocked, “so my sisters prediction was correct,” says Luna, her stunned face becoming wise once again, “your amazing magical ability does indeed apply to the magics of Pegasi and earth ponies.”
I blush, “uhh, thanks...?”
Luna lifts her hoof in denial, “no thanks necessary, Twilight, I was just stating a fact.”
“Uhh, ok.” I say awkwardly.
“Now that we have that out of the way, what’s the real reason you’re out of bed?” Asked Luna, sounding terrifyingly like my mother.
“Well, I, uhh... what?” Great job me, way to talk to a princess...
“No need to be so shocked Twilight, I am the princess of the night, so it’s part of my duty to know sleep, and I know the magic of the clouds and plants, while distracting, is not enough to keep a pony awake. So tell me why are you out of bed so late?”
I look down to the ground, “well...” I say, before raising my head, my eyes sparkling, “I’m just so hyped! I’m a princess!” I shout excitedly, before quickly calming down.
“Sorry, prin- Luna, I don’t know what came over me...”
Luna lifts my chin with her hoof, “no reason to apologize,” says Luna, smiling a caring smile, “I can understand your excitement, being something of royalty is quite special. I think you would've enjoyed watching Blueblood’s reaction when he was first informed that he was going to be given the title of ‘prince’.”
I lift my eyebrow with a cheeky smile, “oh?”
“Compared to him, your reaction was very restraint, for the first hour he was jumping around with happiness, the second he was standing still, waiting for wings to appear on his back.” Luna says, giggling.
I couldn’t help but giggle myself. The idea of a character like Blueblood making a fool of himself greatly amused me, and after how he treated Rarity all that time ago, it just makes it all the more funny.
“Hay Luna?” I asked, distracting her from the amusing memory.
“Yes Twilight?”
“Umm... what do I do now?”
“Whatever do you mean, Twilight?” She asks back.
“Uhh, well, I’m a princess now, and that’s amazing, I just don’t know what to do now...” I explain, feeling very silly.
Luna grins, “Now, dear Twilight, now you start your lessons.” She answers.
“Uhh, lessons on what, exactly?” I ask.
“You lessons on how to be a princess, me, my dearest sister, and Cadance will all be teaching you how to be a princess.” She says, still beaming.
I smile at the idea of of have all three princess teaching me, “sound amazing!” I say, very much exited.
“Well then let’s start right now. Lesson number one, ‘Getting Enough Sleep’.” The dark blue alicorn stars at me with a face I can’t quite read.
“Luna what do you mean?” I ask, “ohh,” I exclaimed, getting the hint.
“Come Twilight, I can give you a small sleeping spell to help you go to sleep, if you’d like.” She offers.
I think for a second, “I’d like that, thank you.” I finally say.
Luna follows me to my bedchamber, when we arrive I slip under my amazingly comfortable covers.
Luna leans down to me head, her horn glowing as she applies the sleep spell.
My eyes start to feel heavy, I guess that stuff about never sleeping again wasn’t true. And no sooner than I think that, I’m asleep.
Luna leans down to the sleeping alicorns head, and gives her a quick kiss, “goodnight, my dear little alicorn.” She says, caressing the cheek of the young, purple alicorn.
Then she quickly stands, and leaves the room to perform her duties.
