Prologue

Discord's reign of chaos continued, and the mane 6 were divided after their minds were poisoned by the Draconequus' influence. Twilight Sparkle, admitting her defeat, returned to her home to pack up and leave Ponyville with Spike and never return. Everything was ready for their departure, both filled with sorrow of how everything that they had tried failed. Before leaving they looked back at the chaotic scenery, just to see how things became even worse as minutes passed, as they both turned grey.

At this time, Celestia desperately tried sending all the letters she could find, but Spike's corruption made it impossible. Despair started engulfing her, as she tried to think of other ideas. Travelling to Ponyville to meet Twilight face to face would be impossible, as she had already left to a direction which not even herself knew.

Back in Earth, a lone person with a long coat and a rifle was chased by many in the dark and rainy night. Breathing heavily, he ran as fast as he could; the lightning giving him a split second of the light he needed to see where he was heading. His limit was being reached while his chasers got nearer and nearer by the second, his will to escape death was being drained as he saw that the situation became hopeless. The lone runner dropped his knees to the asphalt as he gave up hope of survival, looking at the sky knowing that this might be the last thing he’d see before his chasers caught him. As he looked up at the sky the storm intensified to unheard levels, wind started to blow faster and faster, the trees shook violently while their leaves fell off; but most importantly, static started generating around the one who had given up his life. He desperately looked around him unable to comprehend the situation, but before he could do anything the electricity engulfed him; his screams of pain and agony could be heard from kilometres around, echoing in the dark and lonely city in which he tried to make his escape. After moments of torture, a blinding light struck the kneeling man knocking him unconscious and scaring away all who stayed near, even the ones who wanted to take his life.

When he woke up, he noticed that his surroundings had changed completely; he rubbed his eyes thinking it was a dream, but it was not. What he saw before him was a sea of grass with an entirely clear sky; he inspected his clothes only to find out that they were completely dry, either he was knocked out long enough for them to dry, or the light that struck him dried them up.

He decided to stand up, not knowing what just happened, and looked around one more time. This time his eyes caught something in the horizon, the silhouette of a city. He picked up his rifle, and deciding he had no more options he headed towards it.
