SAS Captain Éire Dunwall had a miserable life. His family had died when he was still young and many of his friends fell in battle. He joined the SAS and fought all over the world, where he saw the true face of war. In one of his many missions something goes terribly wrong, and he seemingly dies. However, he wakes up in the cold snowy regions of the Cristal Empire and finds his way to the imperial city, where he finds something that finally makes him truly happy.
But as always, happy things don't last long.
