A Divided Future

As soon as Applebloom was home she ran into the kitchen and grabbed a knife. She then sat in a dark corner and began to cut her hoofs with the knife. When Applejack had found her she screamed, by this time Applebloom had five cuts that were bleeding rapidly.

"Applebloom have ya'll been cutting veins?" Her big sister asked.

"Y..Yes Applejack, cause my life ain't worth living no more!" Applebloom stated.

"Applebloom ya'll now we can't afford health care. If you pass out ya'll just bleed to death and I ain't helping ya'll!" Applejack stated angerly at her younger sister who had made another cut. Her sister whimpered hopelessly, At night in bed she snuck out of the farm and stared at the full moon with wide eyes.

"Who am I? What's my true purpose? Will I ever get ma' cutie mark? What's my actual life?" Applebloom asked herself on the edge of a cliff. "Well, maybe Celestia will help in heaven." She said before jumping off a cliff whimpering, hoping to die she hit some water instead and floated across thinking it was the gate way to heaven, "Wow, death was pretty painless. Wonder if any other fillies will be there in heaven." She stated. Until she fell down a waterfall. "No I don't wanna go to the gates if Tartarus!"she yelled out. She passed out upon hitting the shallow water beneeth. When Applebloom awoke she was lying in a coffin in the ground with worms crawling on her belly and ants in her hair. Their was even maggots in her cuts eating the dead flesh in them.

"Git off, git off, I ain't dead, ain't dead!" The presumed dead filly screamed causing the decomposes to leave until she looked up and saw Diamond Tiara taking her bow causing Applebloom to sit up and put her hooves down. Diamond Tiara gasped at the sight of Applebloom's wounds and some decomposers crawled back on.

"It's the zompony apocalypse!" Snips yelled. "Run for your lives!" called Snails "Save yourself DT!" Silver Spoon cried. Applebloom pulled herself out of her grave and tied Diamond Tiara up with her bow. She then cut her belly open and ripped out one of her kidneys. She then walked off and left Diamond Tiara to cry in pain, the sight of her own organs making her cry until her father came to save her. Applebloom walked out of the graveyard and painted blood on her body and walking off. She tasted the kidney and ended up eating it all.

Meanwhile Sweetie Belles parents were watching a news report about a mystery filly killing ponies and eating their organs. Sweetie belle walked down in pink silk footsie pajamas with holes for her flanks to show her cutie mark.

"What are you watching mom and dad? The news? Are they talking about me?" Sweetie Belle asked before singing her song.

"No honey it's about a filly killing ponies and eating them. It hurt your friend Diamond Tiara and looks a lot like Applebloom." Her mother stated. "You shouldn't watch it honey it's pretty scary. And it's 10:30, an hour past your bedtime." Her father said. Sweetie Belle asked for some cookies and milk and her parents gave them to her. After she finished she went back to bed and slept. A week later Applebloom was caught by the police and experienced time in a mental institution recieving constant therapy.One year later Applebloom was declared reformed and went back to the farm now age 9. Her friends all had their cutie marks but she didn't and felt alone and forgotten. She later made many things depicting her sorrowful life, first a song, then a poem, a quilt, a stick formation and finally a woodwork she was about to commit suicide by jumping off a building when she looked at her flank and finally found what she wanted all along: Her cutie mark. It was a red delicious apple beneeth a hammer.

"Look at me! Look at me! I finally got ma'cutie mark!" Applebloom blurted out happily. She showed the whole class, then the whole 4th grade, later all the foals and eventually everypony in school. The other crusaders were very different. Sweetie Belle was in Mrs. Applebake's class, she was a young star and a great singer, She was currently dating Shady Daze and hung out with the populars. Scootaloo was in Mrs. Berry's class and was a super athlete. She did soccer, swimming and jazz dancing. She just started dating Rumble and hangs out with the athletes. Applebloom was in Mr. Science's class and was a new girl, she had a crush on Featherweight and didn't have any friends other than Apple Chuck. Apple Chuck was a dark red earth pony with an orange mane. His eyes were light brown, had buck teeth and flies followed him everywhere he went. His grade average was a F- with an F+ as the highest he ever got. Sweetie Belle's was A-, Scootaloo's was C+, And Applebloom's was a D- due to deprission. Applebloom for a while received therapy every Tuesday and Friday.
