A loving mother, Queen Chrysalis always wanted to see her child Adalricus happy, despite the fact that he would always experience discrimination. So calm, so caring, he really stands out among most changelings that exist in the world today. However, while Queen Chrysalis wants to always see the smile that her child could produce, she would not stop being an overprotective parent. After many years of being mushed up by his own mother, Adalricus must set out on his own in order to be taken seriously and as an adult. Especially when he comes to realize that every single changeling in his kingdom will treat him the same. So what is the most adult thing to do? Run away of course!

Adalricus eventually makes his way to a calm village known as Ponyville, where he meets the sweetest pony in all of Equestria. She's perfect, as she is honest, kindhearted, and still treats him kindly. All while she doesn't know the truth behind Adalricus and his status back home.

That of course, deals with the issue what Adalricus, and what his true love is. All for the off chance of meeting a potential bride. But will she love him for what he is after she learns the truth?
