"A seventh element?" Twilight stammered. "And it was just out there all that time? And nopony knew about it?!"
"The seventh element... was only present long ago, before Equestria was even founded. But the seventh element was lost once ponies started to lose hope in their self and others."
"So that means..." Twilight thought aloud.
"The seventh element is, in fact, Hope. Now you just have to find the pony who bears Hope."
"What? You haven't found her yet?" Twilight said, astounded. "And we have to go and search for her? Who knows where in Equestria she could be?!"
"I know it seems impossible, but the elements are drawn to each other."
Twilight sincerely thought it was an entirely lost cause. I mean, how does Celestia even know that there is a seventh element out there? I mean, she IS a princess, but honestly-she's getting old. Though she is already, like, a million years old.
"Very well. I will tell the others all about this when I get home." Twilight said, managing to calm herself down.
"Thank you, Twilight." Celestia said, smiling. "When you have found her, please tell me."
"I will. I promise." Twilight said, walking out the door of the Canterlot castle.
When Twilight boarded the train, her friends were waiting for her in the last train car.
"Woah, what happened, Twilight? You look like you just watched Spike get run over or something." Rainbow Dash blurted. Twilight grimaced at the thought. Before she could say anything, Applejack punched Dash in the shoulder. "Oops. didn't mean to hit ya that hard, pardner." Applejack lied. "Hey, I thought you were the element of Honesty!" Rainbow Dash said, punching her back. "What happened, dear? You can tell us...," Rarity's gaze shifted to Pinkie Pie, RD, and AJ, who were all punching each other. Her gaze then traveled to Fluttershy, who was looking out the window solemnly with carsickness.
"Or, you can just tell me, Twilight... I would understand if you didn't really wan't to say anything to anyone else." Rarity said, tilting her head toward the 3 ponies who were tackling each other. Rainbow Dash looked up from slapping Pinkie Pie, which she claimed to be "High-Fiving her face." "What gives, Twilight? We didn't come all the way to Canterlot with you to watch you be depressed."
Applejack glared at Rainbow, then spoke. "Sugarcube, what Rainbow is trying to say, is... you're our best friends, and we don't want to see you sad like this... " Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. " Ah, no. I meant exactly what I sai-" Applejack kicked her before she could finish her sentence.
"Thanks, guys..." Twilight said, sitting down with a sigh. "Well, Celestia says that that there is another element of harmony in Equestria." Twilight said. "Twilight, that's awesome! So what're you depressed about?" Rainbow Dash said, loudly as usual. "Well, the pony with the element could be anywhere... in other words, we're gonna travel all over Equestria for who knows how long trying to find her." Twilight breathed. "Oh... that explains-" Twilight looked up at Rarity, who had cut off her own sentence. "Is that Derpy? Rarity said, watching a gray pony with bright yellow hair board the train. Rainbow Dash frowned as Derpy waved at them through the glass window between the train cars. "No s***, Sherlock." Dash muttered.
"WHAT?! Every minute with that pony is a complete Coo-coo catastrophe! Everyone hide, maybe she hasn't seen us yet!" Pinkie yelled. "Pinkie, she just waved at us." Rainbow snorted. "We have a chance! Maybe she was waving at somepony else!" Rarity whispered, agreeing with Pinkie. Before anypony could do anything, the door slammed open. "Wowza, how convenient seein' you ponies here!" Derpy laughed. Everypony was silent until Fluttershy grabbed a paper bag and barfed inside it. "I feel better now." she said happily. Her happiness was drowned by a familiar laugh. "WHEN DID DERPY GET HERE?" Fluttershy yelled. Rainbow Dash leaned closer to Applejack to whisper in her ear. "H-how did she manage to get here so fast? She waved at us, and a couple of seconds later..." Applejack rolled her eyes and whispered back. "Who knows?" The silence after Fluttershy's scream was broken by Twilight, who quickly noticed the shining, gold necklace around Derpy's neck. It had diamonds in the middle of it that clearly resembled her cutie mark. "Derpy, how did you get that necklace?" She asked. "Ah, this?" Derpy asked. She puffed out her chest proudly and flipped her matted hair. She's so annoying... Twilight thought, irritated. "Heh Heh, it's no big deal." Derpy responded. "HOW DID YOU GET THE NECKLACE?" Twilight asked again, more firmly. "You're never gonna believe this, Twiley, but it just poofed onto my neck one day. It just, like, appeared. Like,whoosh. " Rainbow Dash tried hard not to laugh. "Yeah, kinda like how she appeared here." She whispered to Applejack, who had been thinking the exact same thing. "Ya see, I was gonna find you tell ya about it cuz you're into all that magicy-magic stuff. But it looks like YOU found ME!" Twilight was shocked. She glanced at Rarity and Fluttershy, who were obviously thinking the same thing as her. Then she glanced toward AJ, RD, and Pinkie, who looked like they had just figured it out. They all knew what was was going on... and in unison, they all thought aloud.
"Oh Sheep... "
