Reporting for duty

Bored. That was the mood the young Pegasus filly was in. She had an orange coat with a messy purple mane and tail to match. The Pegasus filly  gave a small sigh as she walked through the small town of Ponyville.

Her name was Scootaloo head of the Rainbow Dash fan club and one of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Scootaloo didn't know what to really do since her plane to hang out with her friends and do some crusading and hopefully earn their cutie marks this time was thrown out the window, as sadly her friends were busy, Applebloom was helping her sister at the farm and Sweetie Bell was helping her sister at the Boutique. Scootaloo would have gone to find Rainbow Dash and watch her fly but she couldn't find her anywhere, Scootaloo have another annoyed grunt and kicked a stone. She watched the stone bounce before stopping next to a devilry truck. Scootaloo looked up at the truck and watched as he started up and began to leave.

Scootaloo watched the truck leave then looked at the building it had been before leaving, Scootaloo cracked a smile reading the sign on the shore "Joystick Toy's" Scootaloo new the owner of the store and since she had nothing else to do today she started walking to the store to see what new toy's were there.

Joystick Joe was humming to himself as he wrote down in his book of the toy deliveries. Joe was a unicorn with a light brown coat with a short black name and tail he was also sporting a beard giving a very kind look and he had teddy bear for a cutie mark, he also wore a set of small reading glasses.

After he finished writing in the book he was about to un-pack the new shipment he just got when he heard the bell of the door rig, he then turned to the door to great the customer.

"Welcome to Joystick Toy's how may I-... Oh hello Scootaloo what can i do for you?" Joe said as the orange filly walked in the store, she gave Joe a smile before replying.

"Hey Joe i saw the truck outside, and wanted to see what's new" Scootaloo said looking around the store. Joe had very simple tastes since most of the toy's in the store were mostly for foals, like dolls, teddy bear and such.

"well i just got something new that i think you will just love, but why are you not with your friends today Scoot?" he asked

"They were too busy to hand out today so-" Scootaloo stopped talking as she looked past Joe and read the labels on the boxes behind him.

"Gorgonites and Commando Elite, what are those?" Scootaloo asked as she looked back at him. Joe looked behind at the boxes then back to Scootaloo with a smirk.

"Let's find out" he said turning around and walking to the boxes with Scootaloo following behind him. Joe's horn lit up with aura blue as he picked up two boxes and moved to the storage room.

"I just got these in by chance, the shore is not doing great so a friend of mine sent a set of these my way" He said, he then  moved to the work table and set the boxes at the side, Scootaloo took of her sable bag and jumped onto a stall.

Joe opened up both boxes and pulled out Two small crimson and set them down onto the table, Scootaloo was then able to get a good look at them. One box has picture of a tough looking old army stallion and next to it behind some plastic was a action figure of the Stallion. The other red box was the same only this time it had what looked like a very slim Manticore with a crossbow. Joe opened the box with the stallion and picked the toy up and set it down at the end of the table, he then looked at the back of the box then to the toy and leaned close.

Scootaloo was about to ask what he was doing before Joe shouted "Ten-hut!" like a drill sergeant. after he said it the little skull on the stallions belt lit up green. Scootaloo's eyes shrank and her mouth dropped as the toy's right leg moved on its own forming a salute, and then before she could do anything the toy's mouth moved and Spoke.

"Major Chip Hayzard, Reporting for duty sir!" it then moved its leg back down and remained motionless.

"Wow that is so cool!" Scootaloo yelled getting a closer look at Chip. Joe chuckled looking at the back of Chips box.

"yeah they move, they talk. They got a two-way radio, Buy a second commando and communicate with a friend" Joe said. As he read on Scootaloo looked back at the manticore and opened his box she moved it to stand next to Chip then read the back of the box quickly before getting close and saying.

"Halt! Who goes there?" and like with Chip after she spoke the Manitcore's belt lit up and he moved his head up and he spoke "Greetings. I am Archer emissary of the Gorgonites" Joe gave another amazed chuckle.

"Very polite for a monster" Scootaloo said picking Chip up to get a better look, she looked back up Joe "So Joe how much are you selling these for?" she asked him. His smiled dropped and he started rubbing his chin.

"Well they are meant to sell at a very high price, but i was going to put it at 75 bits" He said. Scootaloo's face fell at the price, there was no chance she could get one of these toys at that price.

"75 Bits aww no fair" She muttered putting Chip back down not wanting to break him. Joe thought for a moment then his smiled returned.

"Tell you what Scoot, you help out getting the rest of this stuff set up and i just might reward you" he said. Scootaloo's smile returned looking up a Joe "Really? Awesome sure I'll help" She said jumping down from the stall and following Joe back into the Store. As they left leaving the toys alone Chip turned his head to Archer, who did the same. Before the Gorgonite could do anything else Chip pulled out a Hoofgun and pointed it at him.

"Freeze! "
