When Vinyl Scratch was a young filly music was all her thoughts she danced and she danced, she diddn't pay attention in school either…The music was too good then she started making music and selling them at ponyville's own record store. Then Equestria's greatest music school DJ Skool gets an opening and she's offered a place in the school, getting her Cutie-Mark!

Vinyl Scratch walked off to school for another day of thinking out tracks to make, she figured the last piece out for a track she had been working on for ever! "Gotta write that last piece down!" she said to herself.She stopped and took her notepad and pen out from her saddle bag and finished the track, she sighed a sigh of relief and put her things back in the saddle bag.She continued down the road until she reached the school and went inside. Cheerlie looked at Vinyl Scratch with a frown "You're late." "Sorry Cheerlie I just finished a track I've been working on for ages." She sat down in the only seat left, the one next to Rarity. With a grunt of seeing who she was sitting next to Vinyl Scratch sat down. "Um Miss Cheerlie! May I swap places with Derpy Whooves?" Rarity asked. Cheerlie replied "A Raise your hand B no because maybe Derpy Whooves DOSEN'T want to swap! And C You're fine where you are.".

After school Vinyl Scratch raced home with five tracks to put onto records, then she decided to make an album of her tracks called 'The Vinyl Mix' a pun on words for the final mix.She got to work when her mother knocked on the door, she quickly finished a track and opened the door. "Yes mum?" Her mother repiled instantly with a tint of fear and exitement "GUESS WHAT!!!" "My Sales have come in and I've made over one million bits?" "NO!!! Princess CELESTIA wants to speak TO YOU!!!!!" Vinyl Gasped and ran passed her shaking mother and outside to Princess Celestia and who? "Hello Vinyl Scratch you know me Princess Celestia but this is my cousin CristLuna," Princess Celstia greeted Vinyl Scratch "Uh, hi I 'm Crist Luna..." CristLuna trailed off. Princess Celestia rolled her eyes and spoke for CristLuna "DJ Skool's Year 4's have just graduated and they need new ponys to enroll and I've noticed your work so I suggested you, manley because your the right age to be a year one so, would you?" Vinyl Scratch screamed "YES YES YES!!!!!!!!" "OK I shall pick you up tomorrow to take you and CristLuna for your first day!" And with that The Alicorn and The Pegasues Rode into the sky back to Canterlot. Vinyl Scratch raced back into her house to finish her records and her album and pack stuff for DJ Skool. After she finished with the records she began to pack "Wheres my DJ bag... THERE! Headphones...Pencil....Pen.....Famous Notebook of Tracks....Famous Pen Of Writing Tracks...DONE!!" She closed her DJ Saddlebag and put the records and album into her normal saddlebag.
