This is a brief look into what life has become for some in at least one part of (what used to be) Equestria. In the darker corners of the world, some ponies have resorted to drastic measures to protect themselves. One unicorn learns the dark secrets that his family has kept from him his whole life. Set in the town of Hollow Shades, which is located in the forest which is also, conveniently, called Hollow Shades.

Technically takes place in Airstream's Sunfall Universe, but it's way out there to the point that this pretty much stands on its own. Reading Dusk's Dangerous Game or Lines and Webs is not required at all.

I did obtain Airstream's permission to write this story in his universe. You can ask him about it yourself, but at this point you're just becoming a nosy Nelly.
