Celestia's sun slowly illuminated the streets of the town, seeing into windows, waking up the lighter sleepers of Ponyville. One of them was a young Pegasus filly named Dotted Wishes.As the rays hit her eyelids, she opened them to reveal a shocking crimson iris, to match the stripes on her curled mane and tail, along with the lower layer of feathers on her wings. she blinked a couple of times as she stretched her legs in her small bed, before leaning forward to stretch her wings out. Dotted Wishes threw back the covers, glancing up at her Wonderbolts poster, along with an old drawing of Princess Luna she had drawn as a younger filly. Her hooves made contact with the wooden floor of her bedroom, putting red glasses on until her mother woke up to help her with her contacts. In the meantime, she thought, I'll just run my bath. The Pegasus tottered along to the bathroom her family shared.As she stood in the doorway, she turned to look over at her mother's bedroom,where gentle and contented snores could be heard.Her head turned to her little sister's room, the door decorated in pictures of pink flowers and butterflies. A gentle smile played on her lips as she turned to the bath; her hooves made contact with the tap, waiting for the stream of water to gush out of it into the small ceramic pool. Once the bath had been filled, she climbed in slowly, feeling the warm water surround her. She fluttered her wings gently,splashing the tiles with the warm water. She looked down at the bottom of the bath, her tail billowing around her body, like silk. Finally, after sitting around for a few minutes, she reached for the shampoo. Squeezing a blob onto her hoof, she rubbed it into both of them. Dotted Wishes rubbed her hooves into her wet mane, bubbles gathering all over the candy cane stripes. She reached for a jug, scooping water into it from her bath. She poured it over her mane, suds falling over her white flank before settling on the surface of the bath water. She looked up, before repeating it all on her tail. Now convinced she was fully clean,she hovered above the bath, before bringing herself down onto the bath mat. The filly enveloped herself in a fluffy towel,and added one to her mane, and rubbing it into the striped hairs.She sighed contently, letting the other towel fall off ungracefully. Her ears pricked up as she heard sounds coming from her mothers room.Oh Buck! She thought, I forgot to empty the bath! She turned around and pulled the plug out, and left the bathroom, clean and dry. Her mother plodded out of her bedroom sleepily, her jade eyes dull with sleep. "Hi Mum!" She chirped, looking at the mint Earth Pony beside her. Her mother smiled at her daughter, still tired. "Good morning Dotty.Go get dressed now, it's almost time for school." The mare said. The filly dashed to her room, to brush her mane  into it's usual style and add her usual yellow hairband, before looking in her mirror. Her high spirits plummeted as she looked at her rump. Blank. It was the only word to describe it, and she hated the word. Dotty lost her appetite more with every step as she plodded down to breakfast. Emerging into the kitchen, the young Pegasus smelt the familiar scent of pancakes and her appetite returned in the blink of an eye. She leapt into her seat, ready to eat. Emerald Dusk handed her daughter the pancakes, seeing the pegasi's hunger. "Eat it quickly, school starts in ten minutes." She told Dotty, as she walked upstairs to tend to the baby upstairs. An empty plate and a quick dash to school, Dotted Wishes was ready to learn. If only she could eat rid of those two bullies...
