He currently couldn't believe what happened earlier and for that matter what had being happening recently, it seemed like everyone was drifting apart, his best friend seemed to be the only other person not effected by this change but the others it was like that spark of friendship was just gone.
He took a sip of his drink, gazing at a small black card: Number 107: Galaxy Eyes Tachyon Dragon. It was a card from game he attended tournaments with his friends, but earlier tonight the card or rather the machine like dragon depicted upon the card in question sprang to life as if it was actually part of this world.
He remembered how it stared him down, watching him intently and how the dull surroundings just sprang to life full of colour which is how the world around him should normally be. Now he was familiar with where the dragon was from, but he was surprised that the dragon made no effort to possess him like the other monsters of his er...species would normally do. The dragon seemed to be debating something and if anything it seemed just as confused as he was.
“Where am I?” He heard the dragon speak directly into his mind, “You...who holds power over the Number, I ask again...Where am I?”
Now he didn't know how to even begin answering the dragons question, which the dragon seemed to sense.
“I see...very well, should you need my power just summon me...my master...” The dragon spoke before vanishing in a trail of light, leaving him speechless and confused. Now it should be pointed out that he had literally just bought the card, so it couldn't be anything but an ordinary card right?
It wasn't the only thing that was bugging him, because just a few days ago he saw someone staring right at him which normally wouldn't be unusual aside from being a bit creepy. Now what was bugging him was that the person staring at him just vanished the exact second something broke their line of sight and in his place was a small cartoonish equine like creature who looked completely confused before it to vanished in thin air seemingly.
It was driving him crazy, so he began looking into similar events considering the news was going on about some disappearances lately which seemed to be all he was doing lately.
Currently some sort of chilled out dance music was playing in the background of the bar, which to be honest was one of the main reasons he frequented the place so often. Taking a sip of his alcohol, he sighed so far his investigation had turned up with nothing...
“May I sit here?” Said a warm, beautiful and soothing voice which sounded like music to his ears. He looked up at the source, and in front of him stood a woman dressed in a white dress that came down to her knee which she filled out rather nicely in his own opinion, long white hair that seemed to faintly shine different colours under the lighting which he put down to being his eyes playing tricks on him. She stared at him intently through her vibrant magenta eyes with a warm welcoming smile upon her lips, for lack of better way of putting it she was positively gorgeous her presence alone seemed to brighten up the room.
“Sure take a seat, I don't mind some company. Can I get you a drink?” He offered the beauty, smiling she accepted his offer.
“May I ask what is with the card?” She asked, pointing to the card he was holding.
“Hmm? Oh this?” He stammered in embarrassment, “Something weird has been going on lately and sure it may sound crazy but I think this card is involved somehow. It's really just about the only clue I have at the moment...” He explained, “Ms...erm...”
“Tia, just call me Tia. It's a pleasure to meet you.” Tia introduced herself, “I've been looking into these disappearances that have been happening lately, but so far I've came up with nothing.”
“I'm Solaire by the way.” He introduced, “Maybe I can help you?” Solaire explained to Tia what happened as they shared a few drinks, as the hours flew by she listened with great interest as he told her everything he knew and of what happened regarding the card in question.
“I've seen my fair share of strange and unusual things over my life, and I know your telling the truth. You come off as a very honest man.” Tia commented a little tipsy, Solaire noted that if anything her eyes seemed solely focused upon him as if they were looking for something he held. He wasn't one to complain at this sort of attention, but something inside him was screaming how otherworldly she seemed.
“How often do you come here? I'm here at least twice a week and I never noticed you?” He asked.
“Oh I frequent here often to get some time off and relax. Work really gets me stressed.” Tia let out a soft and warm laugh.
“Well damn, I must be going blind if I never noticed a gorgeous woman such as yourself here.” He flirted unintentionally, Tia just smiled brightly at the compliment. Solaire just blushed unsure of what to say next. “So...what do you do for a living?”
“Oh nothing worth mentioning.” Tia dismissed, Solaire didn't know what to think at the present. They both made idle conversation, getting to know each other better. Tia began to call him her Solaire as a sign of affection, which he wasn't sure what to make of so he just rolled with it. For the most part they spent the time flirting with each other, he himself was delighted to get to know such a wonderful intelligent woman.
Time was eventually called by the barkeep as sign of the bar would be closing soon, much to Solaire's disappointment. Tia just looked at him with a playful smirk.
“Do you live nearby?” She asked simply, Solaire just shook his head as they both got up.
“No I would have to get a taxi home from here.” He explained. Tia lent over just enough to whisper in his ear, as said in a low seductive voice just loud enough for him and only him to hear.
“Good, we can...discuss things at my place if you want.” Tia practically purred. Solaire just nodded and followed her as she led him out of the bar.
