Almost fifty years after one specific pony changed Equestria, a new nation struggles to take its first breaths.

In the lawless expanse of the merciless San Palomino Wasteland there is a tale of a device from before the war and the end of the world. It was said that this device, the number station, could tell the future. When one griffon's life is turned upside down she learns that there is more to the story than most would believe.

Now Artemis and her companions must travel across the Equestrian continent in a race to find the number station before the forces of evil. Beset by fascist cultists, her survivalist kinsmen, phantasms of the past and politicians Artemis and her friends will have to work together to save the new Equestria and perhaps the entire world.
