A warm day was forming over Ponyville. The sun was rising from behind the hills, some small mammals and birds awoke, along with a handful of ponies. Others were oblivious to the sunrise and stayed in a deep slumber. One of these ponies awake was named Applebloom. She snuck out of her house early in the morning and creeped over the Professor Vinyl's house. Most coincidentally, Vinyl was still asleep. She had to wait outside for the pony to wake up, because waking the Prof. up would mean bad news for her. This is not our main character though, and we will get back to her later.
--2 hours later--
Scootaloo stifled a yawn. He had stayed up learning about "starter Pokemon" and all of that boring stuff. Scootaloo just wanted to get in on the Pokemon action. He yawned yet again and took a glance at his alarm clock. It said 8:28. Or at least that's what he thought it said. After focusing his vision, he noticed that the 8 was actually a 10. That meant he was an hour late. "Oh no! If I can never wake up at the right time, I'll never get my cutie mark!" he yelled. He ran downstairs, right past his mom who was cooking breakfast. "Scootaloo, breakf-" she tried to yell, but Scootaloo ran right past. "No time!" he shouted, and sprinted out the door across the street to Prof Vinyl's labratory of secret magic. He burst open the doors, panting. He had chosen Bulbasaur as his first choice, but Squirtle would be fine too. Or just any Pokemon! What if Scootaloo didn't get a Pokemon? Ohh, that would ruin the whole plot! Scootaloo would obviously catch all of the starter Pokemon regardless, but that didn't make a difference at the moment.
"Yo, little one! Who's dis in da house?" the Prof. said in a swagalicious voice. "Uh, Scootaloo?" "Ah yes, dat little child. Mhmm." Then he started drooling. In the meantime, Scootaloo grabbed a random Pokemon and slowly walked away, taking a few anxious glances at the Prof. He showed no signs of conciousness. Then, Scootaloo walked out the door. He saw a group of people cheering. They were chanting Applebloom's name. "Oh, that twit. The one who can never leave house without doing her hair. Girls..." he muttered to himself. Then, his mom came along with their pet Lillipup along with her 82 gigahertz speaker. After hooking it up, she yelled. "HECK YEAH, SCOOTALOO!!!!!" Everyone within a 12 mile radius heard this. A few people passed out and one person had a seizure. Everyone was staring at his mom. She just whistled and walked out. "Time to see what's in this Pokeball..." Scootaloo muttered. She tossed the ball onto the ground (which you think might be impossible for ponies, but don't ask.) and then this giant Pokemon popped out. It was a Disquaza.
