Pandemonium
Equestria. A country long celebrated for its peace, happiness, and ideals. A country where everypony was equal, be they bat-ponies, griffins, earth ponies, pegasi, unicorns or zebras. A country where friendship was their most prized asset. A country that is now on the brink of war.
Ancient myths tell tales of strange creatures with godlike powers that walked upon two legs. They could manipulate metals to their wills and kill with magical sticks that seemed to use sound itself to harm others. They could prolong life to impossible lengths, or they could end it just as easily. They were gods on Earth. Then they disappeared. Their legend still lives on, and a select few believes that they aren't dead. They're merely hiding.
An expedition into neighboring Prance reveals the truth. They were hiding. And now they're back. Now, as these once noble creatures make their return, Equestrian royalty is torn as to how to deal with them. But these aren't the same creatures that once lived alongside ponies. They are much different now, more dark and malevolent. As the tension increases, the bonds that tied the Princesses of Equestria together will be strained to their breaking point. Lies, deceit, and betrayal are becoming the norm. War is unavoidable. But with whom will the war be fought?
