The Sweet Taste of Revenge
Chapter 1
Dark, cold, hungry, lost and confused. These were the emotions Trixie were currently feeling as slept on the cold, hard surface of the earth beneath her. It was about four months ago when she had tried to take over Ponyville with the alicorn amulet and was once again defeated by Twilight Sparkle. even though Trixie had asked for Twilight's forgiveness she still felt a deep anger for her. She had also recently heard of Twilight's transformation into the alicrn state. This made Trixie jealous and even more angry. Her brain would constantly repeat the thought of her defeat and Twilight's ascent.
" It's not fair," Trixie softly spoke to herself as tears swelled up in her eyes. " Twilight is the student of Princess Celestia and the embodiment of the element of magic. It's not an even battle at all, plus she completely ruined my career and I can't get a job anywhere in equestria. It's just not fair."
Trixie began to tear upas she looked up at Luna's moon. She thought of how everywhere she went she would get dirty looks and was discriminated against. She had tried reclaiming her job at the rock farm but after they heard of her actions in ponyville they rejected her and banned her from the farm forever.
Trixie looked up to the moon and began to speak to Luna's moon in hope of a reply as she began to cry. " Luna if you can hear me that is," Trixie began speaking to great ball of light in the night sky. " I know I've done some terrible things lately but if you could please send me a sign or something to improve my life. Please Princess I'm so sorry, I'm so so sorry." Trixie apologized to the Princess of the night until she had cried herself to sleep.

Trixie was in Ponyville again, she could see her stage, the citizens of Ponyville going about their daily buisness and she could also see Twilight Sparkle exiting her library to begin her day. Trixie hesitated to take a step forward but when she did everypony in Ponyville stopped and turned to stare at her. All the ponies moved aside to open up a path that lead to Twilight Sparkle in front of her library the backdrop fadded to black and all she could see were the ponies and Twilight slowly walking twoards Trixie. Twilights face had an evil grin on her face as her horn ignited and glowed. Trixie couldn't move and was stuck in place as Twilight walked event closer to her. The only sound she heard was clopping sound of Twilights hooves.
" No, Stop!" Trixie pleaded fearfully. ' I'm sorry, please have mercy on me!"
Twilight ignored and got right in front of Trixie's face. Trixie began to shake more than a leaf in a hurricane. Twilight lowered her horn twoards her and began to scream in fear But everything stopped and Trixie saw a giant moon rise from the horizon of the blackness. The light of the moon beamed down on Twilight and the other ponies causing to singe and smoke causing Twilight and the other ponies to turn into smoke and dissapear.
Behind the smoke came Princess Luna and blackness became dotted with stars and began to lighten. Trixie stared in awe as the princess stood above her with a warm smile on her face.
"P-p-Princess Luna..." Trixie said with the courage she had mustered up, still being in shock at the turn of events.
"Good eventing Trixie," Luna began to speak. "I heard your forgiveness and came to deliver a message to thou."
Trixie's eyes grew huge after hearing Luna's words. "What message could a pony as powerful as you possibly have to tell somepony as worthless as me?" Trixie asked the princess in front of her.
"Trixie you are not worthless," Luna began to comfort the unicorn in front of her. "The time has come for you to face the biggest challenge in your life. Everything that has ever happened in you life has happened for a reason." Luna ignited her own and showed a slideshow of images next to her as she explained. "As you may know, a thousand years ago I rebelled aginst my sister and became Nightmare Moon. I was constantly told to attack my sister and was promised great power and love of all ponies in equestria. this power is the same magic that corrupted King Sombra and was embeded in the Alicorn Amulet." Trixie began a slight blush. "When Nightmare Moon and King Sombra were defeated the magic escaped and went searching for it's next target to corrupt. Starswirlled the Bearded saw a vision of the time the next pony corrupted would become a great foe of all of equestria and would defeat the next princess of equestria and plunge everypony into a time of despair and fear. Trixie it is belived you and four others will be the group that rise against all of equestria."
"But why me?" Trixie asked. "I don't want to hurt anypony I just want my regular life back."
Luna placed a hoof on Trixies on shoulder. "You must watch all of your choices and think about everything you do." Luna began to fade away with the moon. "I have trust in you." Luna assured Trixie before she dissapered.
Trixie gasped and sat up when opened her eyes to see that morning had come. She looked around to see she was in the same grassy field she was in last night. She got to her hooves and began to think about what she had dreamed last night.
She sighed. "Why me, why do I have to make these decisions, I didn't ask for this to happen."
Her thoughts were disturbed by the growling of her stomache. Aknwoledging this she loohed in her bag to how many bits she had left. She sighed in sorrow to notice she only had seven bits left in her saddle bag. She got up and walked the path the nearest town. She was on her way to Trottingham to see if there was somepony willing to hire her.
As she entered the town of Trottingham she was looking to for a cheap place to get something to eat. She strolled through the marketplace for a while and noticed a stand with a sighn that said "Flim&Flam's Cider Stand" Trixie trotted up to the menu to she what she could buy.
She read the menu. " Aple Cider: 4 bits, Apple tart: 3 bits, Fizzy Apple Cider, 9 bits, Apple: 2 bits."
She trotted to sthe counter top that had high seats in front of the counter. She sat in one of the high seats and made her order. but before she made her purchased she made a cocky smile and got into character.
"Can the Great and Powerful Trixie purchase two apples from this excuse of cart." she laid her four bits down on the the stand and got a chuckle in response.
"Great and Powerful huh?" a voice said from behind the counter with another laugh. Trixie was not amused by the laughter of the owner.
"Hey Flim!" The voice shouted to his twin btother inside the cart.
"Yes Flam?!" Flim shouted in response.
"You'll never guess what brother, It's the girl who was in the news paper. You know, the one who tried to take over Ponyville with that amulet." Flim shouted back to his brother in response.
"No way! I'll be out in a second brother."
Flam took the four bits from the counter and put it in his cash register.
"You know," Flam began speaking to Trixie. "I think that what you did in Ponyville was a great idea." Flam said to Trixie. As he placed her two apples in front of her.
Trixie's eyes grew wide in shock as she spoke. " You mean you aren't upset that I tried to take over Ponyville?" She asked in astonishment.
"But of course, those Ponyvillians are so greedy and cocky. Thinking that can challenge anyone thay want and ruin their lives." Flam said to Trixie as his smile turned into an angry frown.
"How do you know that?" Trixie asked interested in what the unicorn stalliaon had to say.
Flam's brother, Flim had just came to the counter of the cart and continued his brothers story.
"All we did was come to pony to do aur job and sell some Apple Cider to the ponies of Ponyville but the apple family decide to ruin our buisness with the help of her friends. Now we don't get nearly as much buisness as we used to." Flim said
"I can relate." Trixie responded in anger.
"You look rather partched." Flim said observing Trixie. "If you need a place to stay for the night your more than welcome to.
Trixie became even more shocked than she already was. "You actualy ar letting me, I mean Trixie stay with you"
"Of course,"Flam responded. "But only if you work with us. We'll make sure your decently paid. You can start tommorow moring in Maretropolis."
Trixie opened her mouth to speak but was stopped when Luna's words rang in her head. "You must watch all of your choices and think about everything you do."
Trixie thought for a second. "surely there's no harm in getting a job and a place to stay, it's a part of life afterall." Trixie thought to herself.
Trixie accepted the offer and was given a free bottle of fizzy apple cider to celebrate her joining the team. Trixie settled in and was happy to finaly have a great start to her life. The inside of Flim and Flams Cart as rather large. There was a small room in the back that held two small beds and a bookshelf. The rest was a large kitchen/living room with a sofa, appliances and a radio on a small table.
"You'll be sleeping on the sofa at night," Flam began "and here's twenty bits to start you off. Now you should get some sleep you start at seven o'clock tommorow morning."
Trixie crawled onto the sofa and laid her head down slowly drifting off to sleep. When she was completely asleep at night a small amount black smoke began to escape her eyelids as she moved around in her sleep having a terrible nightmare.
