Fools
Previous ChapterNext ChapterHer eyes slowly closed as she took her last breath. The rope hung tightly on her neck, causing her to choke. Her heart took one final beat before it spread it's bat like wings. She had finally done it, turned into the monster she loathed when she begged for it. The guards gasped in both awe and utter terror. She bared her teeth at them like a wolf. No pony could tell whether it was a smile or not.
"Fools! Did you really think you could escape from your own shadow? That whisper in your chest that points out your every flaw? Of course you did. Your pitiful ways of living speak for themselves." She growled at them, looking at each and every one of them in disgust. "Well, you were wrong." She smirked as she trotted out the door, all of them frozen. In fear.
The rain heavily poured onto her coat, once again her grey form, as she searched for shelter. Thunder danced through her ears, her tears now disguised with the rain. She stroked her red, rope burned neck sadly, as she whispered quietly to herself,
"Fools..."
