We sang a catchy song to get everypon- I mean everyone to vote for me," Twilight finished her story once again. "Tell the part about me again, or should I say the awesomest part of the story!" yelled Rainbow Dash before she let out a fangirl squeal of delight. Twilight smiled before a quiet sigh came out of the back of the group. Everypony turned around to see Fluttershy. Her rose colored mane fell gently across her face and her muzzle turned a bright shade of pink. "Oh sorry to interrupt," her whispery voice echoed through the halls of Princess Luna and Celestia's castle. "It's alright Fluttershy," commented Twilight, "What's the matter?" Fluttershy hid her face behind her flowing mane and looked down, tapping her hoof against the clear, marble floor. "I-it's just that, oh I don't want to sound greedy..." her voice trailed off before letting out a huge sign and continuing. "I really want to go through the portal Twilight, I want to see whats its like. I want to know all about hands and these other creatures you tell us about, and I want to know about me. Am I more confident? I want to know, I want to learn." Twilight paused before replying, "Well Flu-" "Yeah!" yelled Rainbow, cutting Twilight off, "what are we waiting for? Let's get through that portal!" All the others chanted in approval. Click. Click. Tip. Tap. Click. The cheering faded as the six ponies heard this light tapping sound. They spun around to see Luna wandering into the main hall. "HELLO GIR- oh sorry, still getting used to my normal voice. Hello girls, what are you up to?" Before Twilight could cover for her and the other mares, Pinkie blurted out everything as fast as her high pitched voice could go. "Well...Twilight was telling us a story and Fluttershy over here was like, 'I want to see portal stuff' and Rainbow Dash was like, 'lets go through the portal' and we were all like 'woohoo!' and then you walked in and said 'HELLO GIRLS WHATS UP MY HOMIES?' and I was like, 'well...Twilight was telling us a story-" Apple Jack stepped in and put her hoof against Pinkie's mouth before she could utter another word. Luna giggled, "I see. Girls, I want to tell you something I have been thinking about. You well know I was sent to the moon for a thousand years." She stopped and muttered under her breath, "the moon Celestia, really?" then continued, "anyway, I am about as clueless as you are all about the portal, yet I have a feeling my sister knows more about it than any of us, even you Twilight." The girls stared in awe. "I want you to go back into the mirror and figure it out. I want to know everything." A sly grin spread across her face. "Twilight, there's a new Princess you're going to be sending letters to." ☆☆☆ Author's Note Dont be too harsh I am new to writing fan fics. I hope you enjoy! Dont forget to follow my progress as I write the story! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 ☆☆☆ The girls wandered towards the towering mirror, unable to say a word. "I forgot how-how big it is and how powerful it looks," Twilight whispered to Spike who had quickly run to her side the moment he found about their adventure that lays ahead. Pinkie's cotton candy mane deflated and her pupils shrunk. Apple Jack stepped closer, comforting the newly transformed Pinkamema. Her mane popped up once again and a uneasy grin spread across her face, trying to hid her other half. Fluttershy crouched low to the floor, trying to find the nearest exit. Her breathing became heavy as she tiptoed towards the open hall, opposite of the mirror. "Not so fast, speedy," Dashie laughed sarcastically as she tugged Fluttershy by her tail towards the mirror. "Take it away AJ!" Applejack snatched up Fluttershy's tail in her mouth and as she backed up, her sunset orange hoof tripped over the step sending both her and Fluttershy into the portal. Quickly, Rainbow dived in, dragging Rarity along with her. Pinkie cannonballed into the mirror, not a thought in her head. "PORTAL PARTY!" she screeched as she was pulled through the tie dyed tunnel. Twilight stepped forward before following her friends, not knowing what dangers lie ahead. ☆☆☆ "Be safe," Luna whispered to herself. "What was that, sister?" Celestia said as she stepped forward out of the shadows of the hall. "What have you done?" ☆☆☆ Twilight's head spun, images of her friends bouncing around in her mind. She shook it off and picked up Spike before instructing the girls, "Now, listen carefully, we can't split...girls?" But by the time she had opened her eyes, everyone had vanished. She smacked her forehead, "Oh Spike, can you imagine? They can't meet themselved, can they? Just imagine what Pinkie is doing...we need to find them! Stat!" She stood, wobbling, still remember how to walk on two legs. "Take it easy Twilight, remember your friends dont know how to walk either." Twilight nodded, calming down. She walked briskly and gracefully up the stairs to the school and with a swish of her hair headed towards the doors. SLAM! Twilight rubbed her head. Spike laughed in pleasure. "How can you do that twice?" Twilight gave him a stink eye before replying, "don't get too entertained or I'll put you in my backpack." Spikes eyes widened and he quieted down. She smiled back and walked forward, pushing the heavy glass doors open. Twilght's eyes focused in on the crowded halls, trying to pick out her friends. "AHA! There!" She nudged Spike as a signal to let him know she had found her first friend. There, in middle of the chaos of the halls sat Fluttershy in a tiny ball, not moving. Twilight walked over and gently helped her up. "I know it's a lot to take in, bu-" "Actually, I just dropped one of my pet's collars and was looking for it, nice to see you again Twilight." Twilight's jaw dropped, this was alternate dimension Fluttershy. This is going to be harder than she thought. ☆☆☆ "Oh yes, ohhhh you are looking as magnificent as ever," Rarity swooned as she made multiple poses in the bathroom mirror. "Who knew I would be this stylish in BOTH worlds!" She fangirled at her reflection. Another girl walks up to the mirror confidently, not paying attention to the fascinated Rarity. She glanced side to side before peering at herself in the newly polished mirror. She rearranged her bracelets and straightened her necklace before turning to Rarity to begin a conversation. "Oh my stars," Rarity muttered as she came face to face with the other girl, "you're beautiful." "No you are darling, oh Ive never seen such an ADORABLE outfit," she replied "Come come, you must meet my friends." ☆☆☆ Back in the halls, Twilight paced, thinking of ways to get all her friends apart for their alternate selves. A burst of wing threw off Twilight's train of thought. Rainbow's pupils were huge and her face had a worried look thrust upon it. "Twilight, we have a problem." ☆☆☆ //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 "It wasn't my fault I swear!" Dash pleaded, "forgive me? I'll perform a private show for you!" Twilight looked confused by the nervous Rainbow Dash. Twilights face brightened, seeing the sight of the rest of her friends. "Pinkie! Rarity! Flutter! AJ! I'm so glad you're..oh no, why did you bring, well, yourselves?" A tornado of voices surrounded her as all girls tried to explain their story at once. "ONE AT A TIME!" Twilight shouted over them. "Pinkie?" She inhaled a huge breath before explaining, "Wellll, it all started when you said 'hey pals no splitting up!' so of course, being Pinkie, I just had to run, it was like a giant game of tag!" She made a squee sound and continued, "then I found this fun gal," she said as she shoved mirror Pinkie Pie in front of her, "and she was totally awesome, now I have a friend to break the fourth wa- oh right, the producers told me not to talk about that. I've said too much," she said before closing her mouth with a zipper. Twilight sighed then pointed at Fluttershy, indicating her turn to speak. "Um...well...why dont you explain Flutts." Fluttershy muttered to the mirror Fluttershy. Before mirror Fluttershy could reply, Pinkie blurted out, "FLUTTS? hahaha, sounds like BUTTS!" "That's enough Pinkie," Rainbow instructed before adding in, "or slu-" "ANYWAYS!" mirror Fluttershy cut in, "I had put up posters for anybody who wants to help at the animal shelter, they should come to the gym. It was very lonely, and nobody had come in all day. Then, she walked in and she recognized me, Twilight had told her about her alternate dimension self so we hit it off and related so quickly! It was great!" "Alright, Rarity, where did you two meet?" Twilight quizzed Rarity and her other self next. "Darling, where do you think I went first? To the closest mirror! I wanted to make sure I was stylish in ALL worlds! And no doubt, I was!" She squealed, hugging mirror Rarity. "Sounds good, and you AJ?" "Well, honestly I just...what's so funny now, Pinkie?" Pinkie giggling and rolling on the floor was barely able to make out, "you-you said honestly! Get it? honest? applejack? No? Okay." AJ rolled her eyes and continued, "anywho, I was wandering the halls, ya know figuring out how to use these," she gestured to her legs, "and I accidentally bumped into mirror me over here. She showed me around and all was swell until we heard RD running like crazy." "Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out that part," Twilight puzzled, "what's going on RD?" Rainbow Dash's impatient facial expression disappeared, "Finally! Well, I went to the gym, where else right? Of course I find myself there and we're talking and shit so i told her about us as ponies and about wings and you know, how fond I am of flying and that's pretty much all I do. Well, she became jealous because all of you guys," Rainbow Dash said, pointing to the other girls, "you guys can perform your talents in both worlds. Fashion, parties, apples and shit, and whatever the hell Pinkie does, you can all do it HERE but I can't. You cannot fly here. So, mirror me remembered the time she transformed with Twilight and had wings for a couple minutes. She was reminded of how good it felt to fly and lets just say...she wants to trap us in THIS world. Forever." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 "Discord! Discord!" Twilight panted as she and the girls ran after him. Rainbow laughed at the pathetic sight and sprinted ahead, easily catching up to discord. "Hey dickcord," She smiled slyly. "Oh, you. The feisty one. Oh how I missed you." He said with a sarcastic tone. The girls caught up, out of breath and AJ stepped forward. "Now listen here, you. We wanna know what's goin' on and Twilight here thinks you got the answers." "What's going on? Oh what fun you ponies-I mean ladies are." Discord said, wiping a tear out of the corner of his eye. "Don't you see? Your precious Celestia sent me here." "Preciousssss," Pinkie whispered while sitting in a ball in the corner, holding a ring. Discord laughed, "I forgot about this one." Twilight sat puzzled, "Why would the Princess send you here? You were reformed!" Fluttershy nodded, remembering what she had been through. Then she quietly interupted, "Uhm Discord? You do still owe me a lamp..." Discord smiled and continued his tale, "It all started with Starswirl the Bearded..." Twilight pulled up a chair grabbed a bag of popcorn and sat, eager to hear more. Discord rolled his eyes and muttered, "the geek...I remember now..." RD cut it, and whispered to him, "I prefer the term egghead." "Anyways, yes Starswirl the hairy old wizard created this mirror to send villains, since not ALL could be sent to the moon. Are you ponies blind? Have you not seen other villains running around here?" "I did see that Trixie, the one who made me wear the horrendous shade of brown, you know, the one that should ONLY be used for accents?" Rarity moaned. The ponies blinked in silence, still clueless. "I still don't know why YOU were sent here, Discord," Twilight said, trying to figure everything out. "Who knows, probably didn't believe I was reformed, and what is worse, I get to sit here, cleaning up after you filthy creatures," he said, pointing to his janitors bucket, "And I get to do nothing fun! Now powers equal no chao- I mean fun...yes, fun. That is what I said." Twilight, still mystified walked off in search for clues. "Girls I'll meet you back here later, Spike, you come with me." She walked slowly down the empty halls, her footsteps echoing. "Woah, Spike you're getting heavy," Twily said as she took her backpack off in order to take Spike out. ZIPPP. Her zipper slid open with ease. "WAH! Who in Equestria are you?" "Hi, I'm Derpy, Derpy Hooves," the young girl said. She had golden, glistening eyes with shaggy blonde hair. She had somehow fit herself into Twilight's backpack. She glanced around, cluelessly, and smiled. "And WHY were you in my backpack?" Twilight was still questioning this girl. Derpy gigged and her eyes sparkled, "Cause I saw you had a muffin in your lunch pack," she quickly replied, taking a huge bite out of her blueberry muffin. "I just don't know what went wrong." She muttered, her mouth still chewing. Twilight sighed, "You could have just asked for it." Derpy shrugged, grinned, and kept eating. Twilight mumbled under her breath, "Well, she is NOT going to get me the answers about this world that I need..." Derpy's eyes grew with excitement, "I know ALL about this place," She said as she flung her arms into the air. Her muffin tumbled out of her hands and her eyes filled with sorrow, "Oops, my bad," She sighed. "Come on," Twilight put her arm around Derpy, "Why don't we get another muffin for you and you tell me all you know about this place and Celestia." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 The halls were silent except for a quiet munching. "So....you were gonna tell me about this place?" Twilight looked at Derpy, who for the past half hour had been intently staring down the muffin. One of Derpy's eyes stayed focused on the muffin, while the other drifted to Twilight. "You know, people make fun of me for my eyes..." Derpy finally said, breaking the silence. Twilight put her head down, concerned and guilt filled her. "I-I, everyone hated me, I didn't want to be me. But I turned it around. From something positive to negative. One eye watches over things I love while the other stays focused on the task at hand." Twilight gently smiled. "The princess sends misfits, villains, and other distractions here. To this world." A look of shock hit Twilight and her pupils shrunk. "She does that? W-what do you mean?" Derpy opened her mouth to start but, noticing the clock on the wall waved goodbye. "I have a special somebody I need to meet up with, sorry!" She ran off down the halls, spilling muffin crumbs as she went. I am so close to the answers, I am NOT letting that pony slip away, Twilight thought to herself. She ran as fast as she could after the small yet quick blonde girl. "OOF" Stars spun around Twilight's head as she sat up. "Woah dude, slow down." A girl helped her up. She had headphones around her neck and had light blue and neon blue spiky hair. She helped up her other friend a fragile girl with gray hair and holding a cello in her left hand. "Where are YOU going in such a rush, wait, you're Twilight right? The girl who won the fall formal crown! AWESOME MAN!" Twilight smiled shyly and replied, "I was running after that girl, she had some sort of plans though." The girl with the gray hair finally spoke, "That's Derpy, this is Vinyl," and then she continued in a high pitched singing voice, "I AM OCTAVIA!" "Yeah, don't tell anybody but Derpy has got herself a date with Dr. Whooves," Vinyl gossiped. "You can find me here," she handed her a small slip of paper, "and you can find Derpy, here," she wrote Derpy's adress on the back of the card. "Good luck, and umm, you MIGHT want to check up on Sunset Shimmer, no body has seen her today." Where could Sunset be? Twilight asked herself. She ran down the halls, in hope to find some of her friends. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 Mirror Dashie marched up, enraged. All the girls cowered and backed away. "Come ON guys, get with me, who are you going to agree with? Them? Or me, your friend?" She said gesturing to the mirror ponies and others. It fell silent and all anyone could hear was a small creaking of the janitor's cart. "Now look who's causing chaos," The janitor said with a sly smile. "Discord?" Twilight questioned, "Is that you?" "Yes, little miss princess, it is I the king of chaos, now newly reformed." "What are you doing here?" Twilight continued. "HEY! You're changing the subject!" Mirror RD spoke up. "You, out" She said, pointing down the hall and signaling Discord to leave. Discord winked at Fluttershy, his little run in was not over yet. "Is no one going to believe with me? These ponies can do what ever the hell they want! And we're here doing schoolwork, and running businesses." Rarity, about to speak up was soon silented by a death look of Mirror Dash. "Don't you guys agree?" "No, not really," said mirror Pinkie, "I just wanna know why they came back." Dash turned her back and walked down the hall. She spun around and whispered in her raspy tone, "This isn't over yet." "Yes, dears, why did you-why would you come back? I thought you loved life in Equazion." Rarity wondered aloud. "I-It's Equestria," Fluttershy quietly corrected. "We came back because we want to seek answers about this new word. And I think I know exactly know where to get them from." Twilight answered confidentally "Where? Principal Celestia? Vice Principle Luna? But seriously why is Luna VP she is best prin- I mean after Twilight of course," Pinkie laughed nervously. Twilight rolled her eyes, "No, Discord!" Author's Note I know its a short chapter but I wanted to leave it at a nice little cliffhanger :)
