How I Lived My Life Twice

So...Awesome!

"Oh God help me. I'm going 100 mph and unable to stop! Please save me!" I prayed. My life was flashing through my eyes, and I know what that means.

"I'm gonna die I'm gonna die I'm gonna die" I repeated. God, why won't you help me? Then everything just stopped. It was just... still. A voice came from behind me, almost as if in my head.

"You want help? How about another chance? You could start over. Live a better life!" It said. I nodded, pleading to go wherever. "Very well then. As you wish, I will bring you to the land of your dreams. Equestria." I saw myself lifting out of my own body as if I died and became a ghost. "Woah. Wait, Equestria? Hay yeah!" "Hehe, I thought you would respond like that. Oh! I forgot to mention. I will go along with you to your new life. To make sure you make it safely."

It sounded feminine, so I'm guessing she would be a mare in Equestria. A weird looking portal opened that led into a black room. "Go ahead" she said. I floated over into the black area and sat down at the table in there. The female followed behind me, and the portal closed. The room was now pitch black.

"Where are we?" I asked. "In your mind. Here we will find your paradise in Equestria, and have it, as people say, a dream come true. But first..." I felt a tingling sensation in my body. My body grew orange fur and a striped red and orange mane. Two wings sprouted from my back. My hands and feet morphed into hooves. My face grew longer and ears lengthened. "I'm a pegasus now! Sweet!" I exclaimed.

A little light shone over the place. I saw the female was now a pegasus with a fiery mane and yellow coat. "Spitfire? You are the per- I mean pony that saved my life?" "Yeah, I went faster than light in a mishap with magic. Now I can go between worlds, such as yours." My jaw dropped. What kind of magic can have a pony do that?

Spitfire flew around the dimly lit area, searching for something. "Here it is!" She said. She flew back with a portal close behind. It looked like a field of apple trees. "Hey! That's Applejack's orchard!" "Yes, I know. But when you go through, nopony, not even me, will know where you went. Most likely the Everfree forest. I will be in a different area than you due to the fact that your dreams are endless and anything can happen." I understood most of it and put a hoof through. "Be careful!" Spitfire said as the rest of my body went through.

I started falling. Wait, what? I looked down, and Twilight's tree/library/house was directly under me. "Oh horseap-" I landed, hard. "What the? Is that Rainbow Dash again?" I heard before slipping out of consciousness.

"Looks like you fell, huh." Spitfire said. "Wait, why am I here again?" I asked. "Remember? This is your mind. You are right now out cold sooooo." I understood the rest. "When do I wake up?" "Until you go through that portal." I looked at the portal which showed me in a laying position. "So I got taken in." I walked into the portal and slowly opened my eyes.

"Thank Celestia! I thought you might have been dead!" A lavender unicorn said. I slowly got up from the couch and stretched out my legs. I looked at my back and... oh great. My wings are broken. "Darn it. Now I can't fly. Not until they're healed." I said. Twilight walked up to me. "Are you okay? I think you should lay down and rest while I get Fluttershy." I got back on the couch and tried to relax. Hard when your wings are broken.

Twilight went out the door while I waited, thinking of something to do. Suddenly, a small purple and green dragon walked in front of me. "Hey there champ. How's life treated ya?" I asked. "Uh, great." He replied. "Good for you, I just started and broke my wings." I showed him the bandages on my wings. "Ouch, that must hurt." I flapped them once, cringing. "Yeah, I better not do that so often."

Twilight walked in with Fluttershy who was wearing a nurses outfit. "Oh my! That looks bad. Here, let me help." Fluttershy said as she put an ice pack on. Actually, it was more like an ice band, and it felt pretty good. I relaxed a bit on the couch.

All of a sudden, Spitfire walked in through the door. "Is a pegasus named Blaze Burn here?" She asked. I raised my hoof, going with the act, whatever it was. "Here," I called, "and broken." She looked at my wings, noticing the bandages and ice bands. Spitfire shuttered a bit, but picked me up on her back. "We have things to do over in Cloudsdale." She said before flying off. I liked the wind in my face, but I wished I was the one flying.

Spitfire landed on a cloud that was out of ear-shot. "I'm gonna have to teach you the ways of a pegasus. But first, we need to get rid of these things." She took off the ice bands and bandages. "Why am I going to try and fly with... what?" My wings were fully repaired and in better shape than ever. "When did this happen?" "You grew into a pony fast, you heal as a pony fast. Get it?". I nodded my head and gave them a little flap. Brand spanking new.

"Now for the basics. First, you need to get a feel for your wings. What muscles do your wings feel like?" I replied by pointing to my shoulder, or what would be my shoulder. "Odd, it's usually their shoulder blades. No matter, we can manage. You'll have to get used to moving your shoulders alot, though." I sighed, knowing this is going to be one of those times I get humiliated.
