How I Lived My Life Twice

WOOPS! Accidentally posted the wrong chapter! Just forget that chapter and start back from here, that is, if you read it. If you didn't, don't read this. But you just read it! On with the story.

Nuked

I walked the long path ahead of me. What was ahead, I had not a clue. But as I walked further, a huge explosion, blue and red, appeared. "What the buck was that?" I shouted. I started running, when I noticed something wrong. I was too busy to notice I was a unicorn. "I'm a unicorn?! When did this ha-" realization hit me in the face, hard. "Riiiiiight. That part." I tried to teleport towards where the explosion was, but nothing occurred. Not even a horn glow. "Guess I'll have to run..." I sighed.

I began running again towards the explosion. I was getting near, when I heard a voice. "Is that... singing?" I asked. I ran over to the song. " I can't remember, what's happened in September. Where everything is gone, when it's dark and I'm alone. It's been forever, since I could have remembered. Where the Hell is everypony? I just wanna know the story of what happened right before, I became so alone..."
"Oh sweet Celestia it's him." I said aloud. Apparently, he heard me, and stopped his tune. "Hello? Is somepony there?" He asked. I walked out from behind a demolished building and stared wide-eyed. "I..It's actually y..you." I stuttered. "What are you talking about?" He asked.

Just to stop and take a moment, I'll explain how 'he' looks. He is a gray earth pony with a blue spiky mane, red at the tips. He wears blue headphones wherever he goes and has a cutie mark,almost invisible, of a silhouette resembling a 'tombstone' with spiked boots, spiked gloves, and similar headphones. His eye color is brown and his tail is spiky as well.

"That doesn't matter. We need to find a way to survive before you remember what happened one minute ago." I said. He gave me a look that perfectly described "This happened one minute ago?" I nodded to him and began to scavange for food. I'm guessing he also started because I heard the scraping of rocks.

*10 minutes later*

It's been a while since starting, and we've found plenty of food to last a week or so. While continuing the search, I heard wheezing under some rubble. "Tomb! Come help me with this! I think we have a survivor!" I shouted. Tomb ran over to my side and we lifted most of the rocks off, just enough to pull him out. He had a blue and red mane with a dark red coat. The mane was slightly curly while the tail was sleek and long. His eye color was a light blue while his cutie mark was a compass. He also had some sort of bracelets around his hooves. "Come on, speak to me!" I said. All I got was a soft groan. "I think we have to let him rest. He's been through... whatever happened here." Tomb implied. I nodded and lifted the pony to my back. "Please Celestia be okay" I said. We made our way to the least destroyed home we could find and walked in. I put the pony down on a bed and rested my saddlebags on a table. As I took out a bottle of water, something caught my attention that I didn't notice before. The water had an aura around it, much like the fire of the candles. "Does this mean I can control water?" I said to myself. I opened the cap and tried what I did with fire to the water. The water slowly rises out of the bottle and took form of a cube. I did a mental high-five to myself and put the water back in. "I think he's waking up." Tomb said. I looked over my shoulder, and the pony was sitting up. "W..what happened?" He asked. "Equestria basicly got nuked, my friend." I replied. His eyes were the size of platters by the time I said that. "The Everfree!" He shouted, and galloped off. "Come on, we need to keep an eye on him!" I said, and started to follow after him. When I caught up, he seemed to be in tears. "Are you okay?" I asked. He got up from his position and walked past me, saying "Just leave me alone..." He trotted all the way back to Ponyville, meeting Tomb halfway. They seemed to be talking, the dark red pony getting very emotional and Tomb calming him down. Tomb finally caught up to me and followed me back. We both made it to the house and sat ourselves down. "His name is Ferote Eerfeve and is actually an orphan. He lived in the Everfree forest for ten years and says he has the 'Spirit of the Everfree' in him, whatever that means." Why is all of this so familiar? Am I not remembering something? I sat down to think, but that was interrupted by a large, bright explosion. "Again!?" I shouted. But when I looked outside, things seemed to be normal as ever. Ponies were enjoying themselves, fillies and colts in school, the Elements doing whatever they were doing. Like everything went back in time before the nuke. "Hey Tomb, come che... Tomb? Oh horseapples!" I shouted, and burst out of the door. I'm running because a bomb is about to go off in some amount of minutes. I bumped into about ten ponies, apologizing each time, but quickly running back on the trail to the windmill. I arrived, finally, and hopped on one of the fans to get to the top faster. I hopped off at the top and burst through the roof. "...You see this button!? I'm gonna press it!" Tomb shouted to nopony. As his hoof was heading for the button to nuke Equestria, I pushed it out of the way. "Tomb! Snap out of it!" I said, while simultaneously hitting him across the face. His eyes rolled around until he blinked a few times. "Huh... what?" He said. "Thank Celestia. Now let's get you out of this windmill." I replied, and hopped back through the roof with him in hoof. "Hey! Let go of me!" He shouted. I landed on the ground and laid him on the floor [That came out wrong, didn't it?]. "Now to defuse the nuke." I hopped back into the hole in the roof and down to the control panel. "Let's just take this button out..." I said as I ripped it out. Bad idea. Red lights flared and sirens blared as a giant hole in the floor opened up and the nuke shot out. "Well, buck." I hopped out of the hole and down to the ground in an instant, and ran around looking for Twilight. "Twilight! Where are you?" I called. Everywhere I looked, I couldn't find her. Looking up at the nuke, I noticed it was slowly getting larger. "Not good." I searched every nook and cranny for her in Ponyville, not finding her. I looked outside of Mayor Mare's office, and everypony was panicking. "Definitely not good." I looked up, and the nuke was about twenty miles high, coming closer. "I guess I'll have to do this myself... *gulp*" I walked outside and strained every muscle I could trying to do something. The Warmth! I focused all I could into my internal magic, and my horn glowed. "It's working!" I said gleefully. I put all I could into stopping the nuke, but it only made it slow down. Then, about five tons of strain lifted off of me as I felt two new forces of magic. I looked behind me, and both Twilight and Celestia stood behind me, using their magic. I let off all of my magic after I helped slowly let it down to the ground. As we finished, I looked back to Celestia and Twilight, both smiling at me. "What you did there was a very brave thing. And being able to at least slow it down is impressive. Now, what is your name? I haven't met you before." Celestia said in that soothing voice of hers. I cleared my throat as I said "Aqua Scepter."
"Ponyville thanks you, Aqua, for your heroic act of bravery and strength. And for that, I present you with this." Celestia hoofed me a golden necklace with a Baby Blue Sapphire shaped as a water drop on the end. "Thank you, Celestia." I said as I put it on (With ze magicz!). "Now for the big question. What is that thing?" Twilight asked. Oh right, no warfare in Ponyville. "This here, is a nuke..." Celestia and me started. "You go on. I believe you know more about it." I said. "Okay then... A nuke is an explosive devise used to wipe out entire cities or towns. Due to how much land it can take, it must be massive. This nuke right here is much larger than normal ones, though, and seems it could wipe out Equestria in it's entirety." Celestia described. Twilight was in utter shock. "W-wipe out Equestria? That's impossible!" She said. "Not with this thing." I remarked. How come nopony remembers me? Or, at least, my voice and body shape? "You know, Aqua, you look alot like Blaze." Twilight said. Oh. "Him? He's my brother. I think he moved to Mexicolt last night. Did he tell you?" I asked. "Actually, no. But why wouldn't he tell me or my friends? Is there something secret he's not... telling... us..." Twilight paused and looked at me while I had a smile on my face. Your Blaze, aren't you? Yep. Then how did your colors change? That's another story. I looked in the direction the blast came from. "What could have made that explosion? Could it have been Ferote?" I asked myself. I start on a path towards it. "Bla- I mean, Aqua? Where are you going?" Twilight asked. "To find out who Ferote really is."
