How I Lived My Life Twice

A/N: For this chapter, I'll be color coding thoughts. This is a slight spoiler, but the text should go something like this.
Me: red

First day on the job. Well, not literally. Just have to fly around and help Derpy deliver mail. I put my hoof-made saddlebag on (Which was made by Rarity)
and flew to the addresses on the list.

"House 6263 on Mane St." I flew high, looking all over for the house. I finally found it and flew down, leaving it in the mailbox. This routine went on for an hour or two and there was one letter left.
"The Wonderbolts' Studio. I wonder if I'll meet up with Spitfire. Now I have a question. Where in Equestria is it?"

I flew up to Rainbow's cloud house. I knocked on the door and she came out. "Hey, what can I do for ya?" She asked. "I was wondering where the Wonderbolts' Studio might be." I thought I heard a squeal, but it could've just been my imagination. "Oh, let me show you." She flew out of her house and towards Cantorlot in which I followed close behind.

"So, how's it going? I'm doing just fine with the job." I said, putting sarcasm into the word 'job'. "Pretty good myself, Blaze. I was wondering though. Do you like anypony?" That question caught me off guard. "I have met Spitfire." That got Rainbow to do a fangirl squeal. "You met Spitfire? That's so awesome! How did it go? Tell me tell me tell me!" I scratched the back of my neck. "Well, it was more of a you-saved-my-life-so-let's-hang-out kind of situation. She saved my life, we got to know each other, we hanged out, and now we're friends." Rainbow dashed up, leaving a faint rainbow behind. "Come on! We got some hanging out to do!" She exclaimed.*facehoof* I sped ahead, leaving a trail of embers behind.

I caught up and grabbed a cloud, having a brilliant idea. "What are you doing with that cloud?" "You'll see." I started to fall, still holding on to the cloud. I gained altitude, and then I opened my wings, flapping as fast as I could. I felt a tremendous boost of speed and a warmer surrounding, meaning I did the Sonic Flareboom! I held the cloud behind me, causing the water to turn into steam. I did some barrel rolls, making the steam turn into a small tornado. When I stopped right in front of Dash, the tornado of steam flew around us, turning my manestyle into one resembling flames and hers into one that kinda looked like a mullet. "This looked better in my head." I said. "But you did a Sonic... um.. what should I call it?" "Flareboom?" "Right! Flareboom! Just like my Sonic Rainboom!"

She returned her mane back to it's original style. I just then remembered I had a letter to deliver and darted towards Cantorlot. "Hey! Where are you going in such a hurry?" "I remembered I had a letter to deliver." Dash stopped in her tracks. I flew over to her. "This letter is yours, isn't it?" I asked, showing her the mail. "Yep. That's the one." "I guess we won't be needing it then?" She nodded, and I tossed it away.

A sudden breeze kicked in, and the letter flew straight towards Cantorlot. We followed it, seeing it was going for the Wonderbolts studio.
"That... is pretty cool." I said. The letter floated into the window and landed in Spitfire's mane. She pulled it out and opened it, reading it immediately.

"Should we go over?" "No, I wanna see what she does with the letters I send." We waited for Spitfire to finish. Soon, she pulled out a folder with about a thousand of Rainbow's messages sent to her. I looked at Rainbow, and she smiled sheepishly. We looked back, and she was just gone! "What the hay? Where'd she go?" I flew in through the window and looked around. Nopony was in the room at all. Then I heard a little voice in my head.

Hey Blaze. How's it going? I can hear you in my head? When you think something in your head, do you see it? Well, yeah. But I can hear you actually inside my head. "Blaze? Are you okay?" I shook my head and went back to reality. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a memory." Just then, Spitfire walked into the room, winking at me. "Hey Spitfire. What's up?" Rainbow Dash asked, trying to stay cool. "Hey RD. Didn't I just get a letter from you?" This is gonna be a weird explanation. "Well, Blaze was going to deliver a letter to you..."

*5 minutes later*

"...and now here we are." Rainbow finished. I woke up in a puddle of drool. "That was... interesting." Spitfire stated. "Can we go home now?" I asked. "But you don't have a home." Rainbow replied. She's right. Although, it was fun sleeping on a cloud. "Where can I get a home?" I showed off my puppy dog eyes. She sighed and said "Fine, you can sleep at my house. Under one condition." I nodded. "We have to race there. Winner sleeps on top bunk."

Like the color coding idea? The background color might not work, but whatcha gonna do about it? I have almost all of this story planned and any ideas might not be used until the eight or ninth chapter.
