Nightlight is a young unicorn with no skill in magic, but the incredible ability to create stars. Princess Luna takes her on as an apprentice, teaching her to hone her skills and join with the night sky.
But Equestria is crumbling. A war is brewing on the horizon that not even Luna and Celestia will have the power to stop. All faith is being placed in their proteges; Twilight Sparkle, the Alicorn princess of magic itself, and Nightlight, who could not even pass her entrance exam.
