Big Mac's Vacation: Canterlot.
The Plan Starts
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Where are we?" asked Mac as he was pulled into a old building.
"This is my base. Trust me it looks better on the inside.." replied Isra.
"Why are we here?"
"Our jobs aren't done. We still have to stop the project."
Mac continued walking as Isra locked the doors behind them. It was dark, but low glowing orbs illuminated a path straightforward. When he reached the end of the hallway, he saw a door covered with dust. With a small push, it opened revealing a home area. There was a kitchen, living room filled with couches and electronics, and even a bedroom. Mac couldn't help but be amazed by area. It was like gold covered in rust. Though, he supposed Isra wanted it to look that way so a passerby wouldn't know what's inside.
"Welcome to my home, though I haven't been here in a while." Isra said, "We better get started. Intel says Miranda managed to get the council to pay for the project. To stop it from moving forward, we're going to need more than just the two of us."
"Isra, we can't do this. Fancy Pants took my badge away and suspended you." Mac responded.
"Look, my father died on this case. He did everything he could to stop it, yet was rewarded by a magical blast to the chest." Isra had to stop to wipe a tear form her eye, "I won't sit idly by while an opportunity to end it passes. I will do everything in my power to stop it. With or without your help."
Memories of Mac's parents death resurfaced in his own mind. The pain, the agony, the grief filled months seemed to pile on him at once. He knew what Isra was going through. He knew he had to help.
"Alright, you said we need a team..." Mac repeated, "I think I have the right ponies for the job."
