Ladybugaphobia

A little blue filly breathed deep the crisp morning air and smiled 'Such a beautiful day. Just perfect for playing, or napping, or...' The filly's smile became a very wide and very mischievous smile before she started sneaking up on a slightly larger white filly from behind.

"Sunshine, Sunshine! The lady bugs awake!" Screamed the little filly at her formally sleeping sister. Sunshine screeched, shot at least a foot into the air and zipped into a nearby bush. After a second and a rustle in the bush, Sunshine screamed again and shot out from under  the bush faster than most hummingbirds. All the while the little  blue filly was laughing her head off.

When Sunshine saw that the offending insect was nowhere in sight, she spotted the giggling blue filly and her cloud white face changed to a spectacular shade of red. "Starsong! That's not funny!" "Yes it is!" Starsong gasped. "You should have seen your face! you were all like 'AAH!' And then you were all like 'ZOOM' right into the bush and you went 'AAH!' again, but it was funnier that time!"

Sunshine huffed in indignation before walking a gracefully as she could back to her spot, trying to salvage as much of her pride as she could, though the effect was ruined when Starsong saw that she was still trembling and burst into another fit of laughter. "Sunshine! Ladybugs are tiny little bugs that can't bite, sting you, or poison you at all! I heard mom saw what fears like yours is, irrational!" After she had finished catching her breath, Starsong glanced at her sister and saw that she was still trembling, but with rage this time. Starsong was not a fearful little filly, and as such she fell over backwards with the force of her new laughing fit.

"It is not irrational! What if a who-o-o-ole bunch of them came and carried me away? Then would it be a irrational fear?" Sunshine said, red faced. Starsong, finally recovered from her joke, replied, "Sunny, calm down. It was a joke! I was looking for you to ask you something, but when I saw you just laying there I couldn't help myself.
