Becoming Chaos

I walked through the rows of books in my dads library. You can find any book in here. I once found one titled "How to Rip Off a Drug Dealer." I was walking up the seventh isle when I stopped, and pulled a random book off the shelf. It was called "Who was Abraham Lincoln." Isle seven was part of the non-fiction section, so why would I expect something interesting. I moved to the eighth isle and pull a very large book off the shelf. "A People's History of the United States" was written on the front.

I started lifting the book back up to the shelf when I dropped it. It hit the shelf and made the bookcase wobble. I jumped away to avoid the book landing on my foot. I was about to pick the book up when another one fell on top of it. I screamed and fell backward, landing on my ass. I got up and went over to the books. I picked up the one that fell. It was an old leather bound book with a blank cover. The spine and back were also blank. I flipped through the pages, and they were all blank. I immediately jumped to the conclusion it was Tom Riddle's journal.

I replaced the history book and took the leather one to my room. I sat down at my desk and opened to the first page.I grabbed my pen and tested it on a piece of paper. it worked perfectly. I tried to write in the journal, but it didn't work. I tested it again, and it work perfectly. no matter how had I tried, I couldn't write. I was about to give up when the journal vibrated. I looked at the page, and writing appeared. blood.

It's official, this is a magic journal. excitement got to me, and I grabbed my pocket knife and made a small cut in my finger. I let my blood drip onto the page, which was immediately absorbed into the page. the ink turned blood red  then vanished. more writing then appeared. talk to me kid.

"Wait, so I don't need to write in you?" I asked.

a diagonal line of writing appeared under the first. yep.

"Awesome!"

this line snaked around the page. It really is a wonderful thing, magic.

"So, are you Tom Riddle?"

The page turned, and this line was in a wave across the page. Not me, although I did know him. he was a fun lad to be around. too bad he had to go and lose his nose.

I laughed. "So who are you?"

This time it was in the shape of a question mark. That doesn't matter. What matters is who you are. Why does the name of a book matter? Its useless.

I laughed again. "That doesn't make any sense. The cover of the book is one of the most important parts."

the words appeared randomly around the page. What fun is there in making sense.

"None. anyway, I'm Gary."

this line appeared in a perfect line. you're gonna wish you never said that. The pages began to flip randomly and an orange fog began to spew from the book. It quickly surrounded me. I felt fear rush through my body, and ran for the door. I tried to run through the smoke, but I only came out where I started.

The smoke began to spin around me rapidly. it spun faster and began to close in on me. I screamed and curled up into a ball. I sat there praying it was trick. a voice came out of the smoke. "stand up." I just sat there, scared shit less. "I said, stand up!" Something grabbed my wrists and I screamed. it pulled me up. the smoke was inches away from my nose. "I've waited years for the perfect host. Your dad failed my test, so I waited. Then you came along, and I knew I found the one."

The smoke completely closed in on me, and there was a moment of sheer agony. I screamed louder than ever. It felt as though my entire body was on fire. Then came total pleasure. I felt I could do anything, go anywhere, and nobody could stop me. I loved it.

Before I knew it, the smoke was gone, and the room was completely empty. There was one problem though, the room. It was way to organized for me. I raised both my hands up, and the items in the room began to levitate. I started to do a little rearranging.

I placed the bed on the wall, the chair on the ceiling and the posters on the floor. I placed the rug over the door, the dresser on the bed, standing on one leg, and end table with everything on it on the ceiling. perfect. The wallpaper could be different though. I decided to go with the missing texture from the source games. the carpet could also use a change. How about dirt, no, soap. yea, let's go with soap. then I looked in the mirror, and saw the worst thing of all.

"Egad! What is this, a drab party? I can't be the spirit of chaos looking like this." I snapped my fingers. My body elongated to a body similar to a snake. my left hand became a birds talons while my right a lion's paw. my left leg became that of a goat while my right was a lizard. I grew a red dragon tail, and my body was covered in brown fur. My head warped until it was horse like. I sprouted two antlers, the left one was a goat's, the right one a deer's. I grew a goat's beard and a tuft of white hair at the tip of my tail. from my back sprouted the left wing of a pegasus, and the right wing of a bat.

"Well, that's a little better. let's adjust a few things." reviewing myself, I decided on  few things. I grew one tusk on the right side of my face. I made my right pupil large while making the left one smaller. "Ah! there we go. Now that is a perfect look for you."

"Why thank you," my reflection responded. I sat on the couch and thought about what to do. There was a whole world out there that need so disharmony. I was coming up with so many brilliant ideas when there was a knock. "I'll get it," my reflection said. the mirror fell of it's hinges and rolled over to the door. My reflection reached up and opened the door.

On the other side was a surprised Mr. Oak. "What have you done with Gary!"

"What are you talking about, I'm right in front of you!"

"Your not Gary," he said backing up.

"oh really." I cleared my throat and started using the Gary voice. "see? I'm Gary."

"Oh my god!" He yelled.

I Laughed. "Oh Mr. Oak. You are great. I could mess around with you all day. Gary is, what you could say, dead. At the same time, he isn't."

"Oh god."

"I wish I had time to have some fun, but I have some work to do." I snapped my fingers. In a flash of light, the carpet threads wrapped around him. "So long Oak! I'll come back and we can have some father son time." I flew out the window and looked across the blank canvas that was earth. I flew up into the sky and switch it from midnight to midday.
