Panic. That’s all Nova could think to do as he watched the news with his parents. The scene of the murder that he witnessed, and in a way helped with, was on the news. He’d forgotten about the taser! Thankfully the police had found nothing linking back to him.
Shadow looked at his son noticing something was wrong, and that he looked guilty of something “What did you do?” He asked. Nova felt his heart stop. How could he tell his dad he was there when all of that took place? “I already saw your history test” Shadow rubbed his temples
“Y-you did?” Asked Nova. Shadow nodded. “I swear I tried my best on it.” He was just thankful his dad couldn’t really figure out what was going on with him. Even though he was his son, Shadow would take him to the station for being an asset to the crime and Nova knew it.
He didn’t wanna think about what his uncle might do if he found out. Imprisonment? Banishment? ...Execution? He couldn’t stress himself about that right now. He’d just need to play it out from here and not do anything stupid. Easier said than done.

“Do you think he’ll contact us?” Hail asked her father as she watched the aftermath of the previous night. “I mean, after all, we did sort of scare him shitless.” She giggled at that.
Ignis let out a grunt, turning a page in a catalogue of sorts. “I have no doubt in my mind he will contact us.” He chuckled. He knew that Nova would be more curious about what was really going on. “After all, he didn’t get killed last night.”
Hail stood up and walked over to her father, “Well, no shit, Daddy. He was hiding in a corner while I did all the work.” She looked at the catalogue. “Woah.” She blinked looking at what her father was looking at “Is that…?”
“Yes, yes it is.” He confirmed they both saw the same thing.
“We have to buy it.” Ignis nodded in agreement.

Sceleri walked into his office. He knew he would have to do something about that punk Kickplot, and soon. But to his surprise. his son Adiuvantes Ungula. a cream colored unicorn with a light brown mane and tail and bright blue eyes. sat levitating one of his guns.
“Adiuvantes! Just what in the hell do you think you are doing?” He barked, making his son drop the gun. “What have I told you about playing in my office?!” His son was, seventeen going on eighteen in eight months. So yeah, not a very bright kid.
Adiuvantes laughed, sheepishly. “Sorry, Dad. I was just a little bored is all.” He was telling the truth. Sure, he was still blind to what his father’s business was, but he occasionally liked to come into his office and pretend to be a mob boss. He just found it entertaining to do. He wasn’t really allowed to leave the house without a guard, and he wasn’t sure why.
Sceleri walked up to his son and put him in a headlock. “Bored, are you?” He chuckled, giving his son a noogie. While he might have lead a life of crime, it didn’t mean he wasn’t a father, and he would do whatever it took to protect his family. “Wel,l how about I give you some bits and let you go out on the town and have some fun?”
“Without a guard?” He asked, hopefully. Unfortunately, his father shook his head. “Well, can I at least have Card Holder?” The only reason Adiuvantes asked is because Card Holder gave him a little more freedom than the rest of the guards. He had been in service since Adiuvantes was just a kid.
Normally Sceleri would tell him no, but today he was feeling generous. “I think that can be arranged.”

“You have to tell her you’re not gay.” Golden said with a deadpanned look on his face. “The sooner you tell her, the less repercussions it will have.” He kept looking at Nova, who had shoved a cookie in his mouth to stop his inane rambling. “And you have to stop doing that.”
Lime nodded. “Yeah, it can’t be healthy.” He was no doctor, but even he knew Nova shoving a random bit of food in his mouth to stop rambling couldn’t be good for his health. “Besides, I agree with Goldy.” He chuckled at the angered look he received .
Swallowing, Nova took a sip of his drink. “But you don’t understand! It’s Spring Meadows! I’ve had a crush on her for years.” His friends both facehooved. “...And she won’t date if me she thinks I’m gay.” He joined them in facehooving. “I don’t know, guys.”
Golden groaned. They’d been debating for half an hour on what Nova should do. “So have you two heard of Kickplot?” He asked, getting them off topic. He received nods from his friends. Nova just decided to play along. After all, if anypony found out his real identity, they would most likely go after his friends.
“That pony is seriously fucking crazy.” Lime stated.
“Why do you think that?” Nova asked. He was curious, but the answer was obvious. What he was doing was crazy. He knew he could get killed, but for some reason those two ponies, Hit-Filly and Big Daddy, seemed to stick in his mind. He knew he couldn’t stop just yet.

Three ponies stood in what looked like a lumber sales store, each of them looking at a pony who they had placed in a lumber microwave. They hadn’t tied him up, seeing as he couldn’t open the stainless steel door.
“Now then.” The largest of the group turned on the lumber microwave. It had been set for a single minute. “We’re going to ask you who sold our dash.” He smirked as the pony began panicking.
“I told you!” He began bucking the door, hoping to get out. “It was stolen by somepony dressed like some kind of superhero!” He felt a pressure building up in his head. Imagine the worst migraine ever, and multiply it by twenty.
“No more bullshit!” The largest one punched the glass. “Now, who the hell did you sell it too?!” They all grouped up and watched as the pony looked like he was struggling to breath. “Tell us and you’ll be free to go.” That much was true. He would be. but with the addition of broken legs.
A few more seconds passed and soon something nopony expected happened. The pony in the lumber microwaves head seemed to explode. “Woah.” The larger one watched in shock and awe. “Glad I’m not the one who has to clean that up.”

Nova sat in his room, lying on his bed. He knew Hit-Filly and Big Daddy were the real deal. Compared to him they seemed to know the drill and had high tech equipment compared to his mom’s taser. “Look at me.” He mumbled. “Those two… I’m just some dipshit in a wet suit. Why do they want my help?”
He remembered they said he had potential, and he remembered his uncle’s letter, but he couldn’t fight like they could. Maybe he could learn if he trained with them, but with the murder and superheros breaking into his house, he felt like his life had turned into some kind of horrible nightmare and he had no way of waking up. He wanted a hero’s life, and he sure got one.

Sceleri frowned. “What the hell is this?” He asked, watching the video as his ponies were slaughtered. He had no idea how in the world one pony could take on all his ponies at the same time and come out without a scratch on him.
“I think it might be that pony from the news.” A silver pony with a golden mane and goatee said. Sceleri knew him as Argentum Gate.
“You mean Kickplot?” Sceleri asked, slightly annoyed. “What the fuck does he want with my men?”
“Well, did you ever think he’s trying to get to you?” Argentum asked.
Sceleri began breathing heavily and angrily. “I want Kickplot’s head on a fucking stick!” He was enraged, but thankfully he had a few friends down at the police station who might be able to help him.

A dark purple unicorn with an amber mane and brown eyes walked into a building. He was in his police uniform. He was known to all the others as Iustitia Ungula. He didn’t have his gun or anything ready as he walked through the yellow walls of the building. He opened a door leading to a room filled with paintings that had string attached to them, and guns all over the walls.
As he walked to the desk, he noticed a comic book. He levitated it in his cobalt aura and began reading the story of how his old partner went to prison and how his wife had died when giving birth to their daughter.
He heard the sound of a gun being cocked. “What the hell are you doing here Iustitia?” He made sure to be ready to pull the trigger at any second.
“Keep in mind one of us is still a cop.” Iustitia showed the comic to his old friend. “What is this shit?” He asked. “Is this how you’re brainwashing Hail?”
Ignis took the clip out of the gun and emptied the chamber. “No, I didn’t brainwash her. I made it into a game for her.”
“By what? Murdering other ponies?!” Iustitia was shaking slightly. “How is Hail? Can I see her? I miss you both, Ignis. You were like family to me, man.”
“No, she’s fine.” Ignis glared. “I think it’s best you leave. And don’t you go telling anyone what you’ve seen, if you know what’s good for you.”
“Listen to me,” Iustitia gave his old friend a somber look, “Sceleri is looking for Kickplot. Apparently he murdered a bunch of his ponies.” He took a couple of breaths. “You know anything about that?”
“Never heard of him.” Ignis lied. “Now leave.” He looked at the assurance that he’d kept to make sure Nova would keep quiet about them. He needed to put it in a better location.
