Twilight Nomele
Twilight Nomele : Part One
Load Full StoryNext ChapterTwilight Sparkle was a simple mare, with a simple life.
But then there are certain days.
Those days where you try to find out how your best friend can (sort of) tell the future, or when a draconequus tries to plunge the world into chaos.
Those days.
Today was one of those days.
Twilight slowly awoke from her slumber as beams of light shined through the window.
Twilight climbed out of her bed, and looked out of her tree-home's window, seeing a family of bluebirds making a nest on a branch.
What a beautiful day....
"For studying!" she finished aloud. She happily trotted down the stairs that had been carved from the tree, and caught a whiff of what was cooking.
"Oh hello, Twilight!" a voice greeted. Twilight looked to the kitchen to see the source of the voice, her number one assistant, Spike.
"Good morning Spike." Twilight happily said in greeting. "What are you cooking?" She added, with small bits of drool gathering in her mouth.
"Pancakes! Pinkie's recipe!" Spike said as he closed his eyes, most likely thinking about the delicious taste of said pancakes.
"Mmmm, sounds good."Twilight fantasized with the young dragon. She neared her shelf of books, where she had read most of the books accept Advanced transformation spells and The History of Equestria, volume 13. She used her magic to levitate the two books towards her, and craked open Advanced transformation spells.
Twilight was staring intently and tracing the words on the page with a hoof, trying to absorb every word for the complicated spell. There was a small red apple siting on the floor in front of the book.
"What spell is that Twilight?" Spike the dragon asked, watching the unicorn read. He knew that she was working on a transformation spell, and he had always liked seeing what she can turn things into.
"This is a spell that should turn anything it hits into a small pony like blob creature that likes to eat." Twilight replied, starting to sit up in preparation for the spell.
"That sounds cool, is it like a little pet?" Spike asked.
"Well you could keep it as a pet, but it would eat so much you would loose all your bits by trying to keep it fed!" Twilight joked, her horn starting to glow and spark as she started the spell.
The small apple on the ground in front of her started to twist and turn, until its shape finally decided, and the apple became a liquid, with a small bit of green from the leaf.
Suddenly, the liquid pooled inside itself, the green moving to the middle. the red formed into a small blob, a little taller than six inches. The green still was in the middle top, and a small amount started to travel down and pool where a tail would be.
Two black, beady eyes blinked open, and two ears formed on the blob's top, and the green settled on a mane that draped itself over the face of the blob. The green that had traveled down had by now formed a tail, and two stubby arms appeared on the blob.
The apple-blob yawned, letting out an adorable squeak and showing a row of herbivorous teeth.
"Aww...Its so cute!" Spike said, walking over to the Apple-Blob.
"Spike, be caref-" Twilight tried to say as Spike walked over to the small blob. Suddenly, the blob bounced into the air and latched onto Spike's spines on his head with it's mouth.
Spike yelped in surprise, then reached up and pulled the Apple-Blob off of his head.
"Aww, your too cute to stay mad at!" Spike said, giving the blob a crushing hug.
"Eep!" The blob squeaked, surprised. Luckily, due to its blob-ieness it had resistance to being squished.
Twilight smiled at the adorable sight, then heard a sound coming from the door.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
Apple-Blob was the first to look up, and looked over at the door like a cat who heard a loud noise. It squirmed out of Spike's grip while he was distracted, and the blob tried to preform a series of rolling motions to get to the source of the noise.
Twilight giggled at the sight, and lifted the blob into the air with her magic. The red blob blinked in surprise, and waved it's two hooves wildly in attempt to escape from the magic.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"It's a public library, you can just come in!" Twilight said loudly.
The pony zipped into the room, despite Twilight never seeing the door open.
Or close, for that matter.
"HiTwilight,IcametoyourlibrarytosayhiandchecktheplacebeacusemyPinkieSensetoldmetheresanewponyintown! Ijustcamebytoaskifyouknewwhereitwas!" The pony said all in one breath, then took in a gasp of air.
Twilight blinked in surprise, and also dropped Apple-Blob. "Hello, Pinkie. And, as a matter of fact, I do know where the new pony is!" Twilight said, adding a smile to the second sentence.
Pinkie Pie gasped again, but this time in surprise. "You do!?" She almost shouted excitedly.
"Yes, I do. Its right behi-" Twilight tried to say, being cut off for the second time that day. And once again, she was cut off by a certain red and green blob biting down on somepony's head.
"Aww, well aren't you the cutest thing ever!" Pinkie said, pulling the red blob down and looking at it. "Would you like a cupcake, little guy?" Pinkie said, scratching the tiny blob on it's belly fur.
The blob squeaked, and nodded it's tiny head in approval.
"Weeellll, Heree you go little guy!" Pinkie said, placing a chocolate cupcake and the Apple-Blob on the floor.
The blob immediately pounced onto the cupcake like a cat, and nibbled on it.
"Awww, It's the cutest thing EVER!" Pinkie said, shouting the last word. Spike joined in, but only saying 'Aww'
Wow, Pinkie seems to really like the blob, too bad I have to turn it back soon. Or maybe I could...
"Hey Pinkie?" Twilight said, Snapping the pink pony out of her 'Aww-ing' session.
"Yeah Twi?" Pinkie answered, looking at her purple friend.
"Would you like to take the Apple-Blob home?" Twilight asked.
Pinkie gasped once again, and looked at Twilight. "You really mean it?!" She asked, and shouted, at the same time.
"Yep." Twilight said, nodding.
"OhhhhhhhTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!" Pinkie shouted, bouncing up and touching noses with Twilight.
"Your welcome." Twilight laughed, as Pinkie bursted out the door with Apple-Blob clinging onto her mane.
"Didn't you say a pony could go broke trying to feed it?" Spike interjected, holding up a single claw.
"Yes, I did, but I thought, I'ts Pinkie Pie were talking about, she can make sweets out of thin air!" Twilight replied, throwing her hooves in front of her in the last part.
"Well, you've got a point." Spike said, leaning on a wall.
Twilight stood up, looking at the old grandpony clock on the wall, seeing it was around six-forty in the afternoon, the sun just starting to go down.
"Well, I'm off to my room for some more studying in private." Twilight said, levitating the transformation spells book behind her.
Twilight trotted up the stairs, and walked into her room upon reaching it. She trailed the book behind her, and sat on her carpet, folding her legs under her. She placed the book on the floor, and she started reading about the spell she had preformed not long ago.
"Now let's see... I want to test the spell on a few different items..." She mumbled, looking around for a new item to make into a blob. Her eyes finally settled on a glass vase, with nothing in it except a single quill.
She levitated the vase towards her, and placed the quill on a desk. She charged up her horn, the spell itself being significantly easier due to the fact that she already had used it once before.
What Twilight didn't know, is that the vase was a reflective surface.
What Twilight did know though, Is that spells bounce off reflective surfaces.
