Most ponies are born with magic talent. Others, develop it over time. But it isn't how you acquire it that defines your destiny, but how you use it.

Corruption is much easier than it seems, and for Twilight Sparkle she's going to need a lot more than the Friendship of Magic to keep her from exploring the darkest depths of magic itself. Maybe the only one who will be able to save her will be herself. That is, if it isn't too late.
