Chapters Return of Evil and A New Beginning
It was a nice sunny day in Equestria, especially Canterlot where the two sisters, Celestia and Luna, were enjoying the nice day by hanging out in town. Not a cloud in the sky, everypony was happy, and summer was just around the corner, so everypony was excited for the upcoming Summer Sun Celebration in this year’s location, The Crystal Empire. The crystal ponies, along with Princess Cadence, Prince Shining Armor, Princess Twilight, and her friends, have been getting ready for the summer solstice by preparing the Crystal Empire for Celestia’s and Luna’s arrival. Usually, Princess Luna wouldn’t go to a Summer Sun Celebration, but it would be a nice excuse to get out of the castle and visit another kingdom.
The day was going great, until random clouds started to appear out of nowhere in Canterlot. Celestia and Luna looked up as the clouds were forming “Hey, it’s not supposed to rain” Celestia said. Then, Luna realizes something
“Hey sis” Luna said, “These clouds are pink.”
“Pink!” Celestia exclaimed before it began to rain chocolate milk.
“Discord” Celestia and Luna both exclaim at the same time. They ran towards the castle to find Discord. They searched room to room and finally, they foundd a note written by Discord that said
“Dear Princesses, I have had it with the whole ‘good guy’ thing. So I have decided to run away. But before I go, I leave you with a chaotic mess for you to clean up. Have fun. Love, Discord.”
“Where do you think Discord has run off to?” Luna asked. “I don’t know” Celestia responded “But I don’t like how this will end up.”
Six years have passed since Discord’s disappearance and all was calm, until two days after the six year mark of the incident, the sky over Canterlot turned black. No pony, not even Celestia or Luna, knew what was going on. Then it happened, changelings were falling from the sky and attacking the citizens of Canterlot. The royal guards were fighting back, but were losing the fight in the process. Meanwhile, Celestia invites Cadence, Twilight, Spike, and Twilight’s friends over for a royal meeting on how to solve this problem.
“All of this doesn’t make sense” Celestia said “I thought that we’ve got rid of the changelings once and for all during the royal wedding years ago.”
“I guess that Queen Chrysalis hasn’t given up on trying taking Equestria over” Cadence said.
“This is just like before” Twilight said “We didn’t even expect it coming like last time.”
“Even though we are fighting back, we are still losing the battle” Luna said.
“Yes, but we’re doing better than last time they have invaded” Celestia mentions.
“But what if we lose this battle?” Luna asked “What will we do then?”
“I don’t know little sister. But that is why we need to have confidence in our troops.”
“But, what if they fail, my sister? We might need a backup plan just in case they do fail.”
“You’re forgetting, Princess Luna” Rainbow Dash exclaims “We are your first, second, and third plans.”
“Luna, you don’t have to worry” Celestia said “Like Rainbow Dash said, they, the spirits of the Elements of Harmony will save Equestria.”
“For the thousandth time” Rainbow Dash interrupts.
“Exactly” Cadence said. “Like Celestia said, we need confidence in our troops and we will win this fight.”
“But we should have the elements ready if we do” Luna said.
“Of course” Celestia said “Good thing that they are kept safe in the Crystal Kingdom vault.”
A royal guard ran into the room with a limp and battle-damage armor.
“Princess Cadence, I have some terrible news” the guard said.
“Oh no, are you okay?” Cadence asked the guard.
“You should be more worried about your husband instead of me.”
“What happened to Shining Armor?”
“Is my brother alright?” Twilight asked.
“You all should see for yourself.” The guard said with sorrow.
The nine ponies, along with Spike follow the battle-damaged pony guard out of the room and heads towards the Canterlot Hospital.
The ten ponies walked into the hospital room to see Prince Shining Armor covered bandages. Princess Cadence ran after Shining Armor as he’s lying down and gave him a big hug while crying over the fact that her husband was injured in battle. Twilight gazed upon her older brother in sorrow. “How did this happen?” Twilight asked. The doctor walked in “He had been critically injured in battle. He’s lucky that he is still with us.” Cadence started crying even more and at the same time Twilight started to shed tears.
Twilight wiped her tears off her face and developed a feeling of rage. “The changelings and their queen will pay for this” she said.
“Twilight, it’s okay” Spike said “We can get the Elements of Harmony and stop her like we did last time.”
“Don’t you remember, we were captured before we could get the elements” Twilight reminds Spike.
“So what” Rainbow Dash said “We’ve become more powerful since last time. I mean, you’re an Alicorn. You’re unstoppable.”
“Yeah, you might not need any of our help” Fluttershy said “Oh please don’t need our help. I don’t want to face those scary things!”
“Ah cheer up Fluttershy” Pinkie Pie said “Remember, we’ve fought them before.”
“Yes, plus I don’t want to chip a hoof from, ugh, fighting” Rarity said.
“Let us all go then” Luna said “We need to get back to the Crystal Empire and get the Elements of Harmony.” Cadence sniffles “You guys go without me. I’ll stay here with Shining Armor.”
“Good idea, Cadence” Celestia said “You stay here with him and the love between you two will hopefully heel him quicker. Twilight, I need you, Luna, and your friends to teleport to the Crystal Empire while I stay here and protect Canterlot.”
“Of course, princess” Twilight said “Gather around everypony, I need you all to stay close when I perform the spell.” Everypony huddles around twilight as she teleports them away from the hospital.

The nine ponies, along with Spike, teleported behind the Crystal Empire Train Station. “You know, Twilight, maybe next time you can send us CLOSER to the castle.” Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
“I’ve transported us here because” Twilight pauses and pokes her head out from behind the train station “Look.”
The other ponies and Spike pokes their heads out to find that the Crystal Empire has been overrun by changelings.
“I sense Queen Chrysalis here” Twilight mentions as she looked at her friends and Spike “We need to go out, but be stealthful, and head towards the castle.”
Twilight and the gang ran up to the crystal pillars at the entrance to the empire and hides behind them, waiting for a good time to move up. “Okay, I have a plan” Twilight said “Spike, Applejack, and Pinkie will come with me. Rainbow,
Rarity, and Fluttershy, you follow Luna. We’ll split up and meet back at the entrance to the castle.”
“Good plan, Twilight” Luna said “We’ll take the left side of the city while you four take the right side.” Twilight nods in agreement.
Both groups run in opposite directions of the city ridden with changelings and crystal ponies trapped in their homes turned into their prisons and graves. Twilight and her gang heads towards a dark alleyway but then, they were met by a group of changelings.
“Alright you ugly pony, bug things, let’s dance” Applejack yelled as the group of eleven changelings ran up to the small group of four. Twilight hits a few of them with magic beams, Applejack bucks some more, Spike punches some in the face and uppercuts a few more, and Pinkie Pie punches and kicks a few more. The changelings lay passed out on the ground when suddenly, some more changelings appear and surround the ponies. Pinkie grabs Twilight and holds her like a gun.
“Say hello to my little friend” she yelled before Twilight blasts them with magic beams.
Luna and her team walk up to Twilight’s group and looked at all of the unconscious changelings.
“Nice work” she said. They run up to the arches from under the castle where there is a big group of changelings. The changelings surround the group and were ready to attack, until they look up at the sky, only to see a bright orb, only it’s not the sun. The bright orb lands next to the group only to fade and turn into Celestia. She then opens her wings out and lets out a magical energy field that turned the changelings into stone. “Sister” Luna exclaimed “I thought you were guarding Canterlot.” “I was until Flash Sentry came in and took over.” “My Flashy is there?” Twilight asked. “Yes” Celestia responded “He is and he is doing a great job leading the troops.” “Come on y’all” Applejack said “Let’s get those elements.” The group ran into the castle. “By the way, princess” Twilight said “Where did you learn that spell to turn those changelings into stone?” “I’ve known that spell after I’ve sealed the elements away one thousand years ago just in case I could not get the elements back.”
They enter the throne room where they see Queen Chrysalis sitting on the throne
“Hello, Celestia” Chrysalis exclaimed “I have expected you and longtime no see Twilight.”
“Where are the Elements?” Twilight asked with aggression.
“Oh, they’re in great care right now.”
Just then, twelve changelings surround the group and attack.
Three of them fly in the air and shoots Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Applejack with a magical energy beam. Rainbow Dash flies up to them and punches two of them and bucks the other one in the face. One changeling knocks Rainbow to the ground. Spike ran up to Rarity to make sure that she’s alright when one changeling stops him in his path, picks him up with its magic, and throws him across the room. Luna ran up to that changeling and uppercuts it.
Four more changelings occupy Celestia while four other surround and corners Twilight. The ones cornering Twilight jump at her. She manages to escape, but her crown flies off and slides across the room. “My Crown” she yelled. Chrysalis picks it up as Discord enters the room. “Here’s the last element, my king” Chrysalis said. The ponies were in shock when they see Discord with the five elements and Twilight’s crown in his arms. “Why thank you, my queen” Discord said.
“Discord, why are you doing this?” Twilight asked.
“I’m doing this because I want my throne back. At first, I ran away to escape all of the namby-pamby pony stuff.”
Discord walked up to Chrysalis and puts his arm around her “Until I met this beautiful creature.”
“We fell in love at first sight” Chrysalis said “When we first met, we didn’t know that we share a lot in common. One of those things is taking over Equestria.”
“Not only have we become a deadly alliance, but we’ve also become deadly lovers” Discord said.
Twilight and Luna run up to the couple, when they were stopped by twenty-eight changelings. “Ah, ah, ah princesses” Chrysalis exclaimed “Don’t want to do something stupid right?”
“What are you going to do with the Elements of Harmony, Discord?” Twilight asked.
“Well, I will destroy them. Unless Celestia agrees.”
“Agrees with what?” Celestia asked.
“Agrees that you give your throne to us.” Discord exclaimed.
“No” Twilight yelled “She will not give it up, Discord.”
“Alright then” Discord said. He throws the elements on the ground and stomps on them. The elements break into pieces from Discord’s force upon them. “No” the six ponies yell as they fall on the ground and pass out. “No” Celestia yelled “You monster Discord.”
“Well, that’s what you get when you don’t compromise” Discord said. Luna and Celestia picks up the six ponies. “Luna, they need to go to the hospital.” “Alright, sister.” They teleport back to Canterlot Hospital.
Spike wakes up and stands on his feet as Discord and Chrysalis watch him. “Guards” Chrysalis yelled “Take the dragon to the dungeon.” Some changeling surround and corner Spike. “Oh no, I will not go without a fight” Spike said as he lifts up his fists. A changeling walked up to him and bucks him in the face. Spike passes out and the changelings drag his unconscious body out of the room.

Celestia, Luna, and Cadence were standing around the hospital room where Shining Armor, Twilight, and her friends were. The doctor walked in “Well, bad news. The six girls were in a coma. We don’t know how they’ve entered a coma state, but the good news is that we have them on life support so they won’t pass on us.” “Thank you, doctor” Cadence said as the doctor walked out of the room. “Now I don’t know what to do. Twilight and her friends are in a coma, we’re losing this war, and the Elements of Harmony are now in pieces” Celestia said.
“But sister, there is one other way.”
“Are you thinking of him?” Celestia asked.
“Who are you girls talking about?” Cadence asked.
“An elf that we are NOT releasing” Celestia said.
“But sister, we are losing this. He is the only hope for Equestria. We have to release him.”
“Alright, fine. But he is going back into his stone prison right after this is all over with.” Before Celestia and Luna walked out of the room, Flash Sentry walked in with tears in his eyes. “Hey, I’ve heard the news. How are they?”
“Fine” Celestia responded “They are on life support so they will be fine.”
“So, how are we going to stop this” Flash asked. “By releasing a warrior who can stop everything” Luna responds. Flash developed a confused look on his face. “We’ll let you know once this is over with” Celestia said. Celestia and Luna exit the hospital room and teleports to the center of the Everfree Forest.
The elf that Celestia and Luna were discussing about is an evil elf that has betrayed the two princesses after helping them defeat Discord the first time. His name was Dante, and he was unlike any other elf. A long time ago, even long before Discord’s first defeat, Dante ventured out into the center of the Everfree Forest and found a pillar with a logo of an evil-looking shadow figure on it called the Pillar of Forbidden Shadows. He rested his hands on the pillar, which gave him a power of shadows. With those shadow powers, he teleports (which he has named his shadowport) and he has fused his abilities with his fighting style. But, the powers have also made him evil. Celestia thought that she could change him, but after Discord’s defeat, she was wrong.
Within the center of the Everfree Forest, there was an area where there were no trees, but a stone structure. The two walk into the structure into a dark hallway where at the end of the hallway, there stands the Pillar of Forbidden Shadows with a logo on it that resembles an elf surrounded by a weird mist instead of the shadow figure. “Okay, are you sure about this Luna?” Celestia asked. “Yes, it must be done” Luna replies. They both perform a spell that only those two can perform to release the evil elf that the pillar was holding. After the spell, the pillar was starting to crack. The cracks were starting to glow inside of them, then the pillar started to glow a dimmer light than the cracks. The glowing vanished as the elf’s figure started to form from from shadows from the feet up.
“Ah, Celestia. Fancy meeting you here. And look, Luna. Long time no see” Dante said. “So, what’s with the sudden visit? Have you missed me?” he asked “I’ve been locked away in this boring pillar for what, a thousand years? And you two decide to finally visit me?” “We need you, Dante” Luna said “Follow us and we’ll explain it all.”
The two ponies and the elf walk out of the structure. “So, why do you suddenly need my help?” Dante asked.
“An old foe, that you’ve defeated many years ago, is now attacking again. We need your help to defeat him again” Celestia said.
“Wait, Discord has escaped?” Dante asked.
“Well, not really. I wanted to restrain Discord to hopefully use his magic for good and help me out when I was busy, but six years ago, he has gone missing.”
“So, now you want me to clean your mess up.”
“I did not expect this to happen.”
“But you’re the one who released him. Seriously, you have poor judgment sometimes.”
“But now, he’s back and has teamed up with changelings.”
With a confused look on his face “What are changelings?” Dante asked.
The three walk out of the hallway and into the yard where they were surrounded by hundreds of changelings. “These are changelings” Luna replies as Celestia conjures a katana sword and a staff.
“Hey, you saved my stuff” Dante said in excitement.
“Yes, now be careful.” Celestia replies.
The changelings charge after the three when suddenly, Dante shadowported through the ground, appears under one of the changelings and uppercuts it into the air. The rest of the changelings stop to look at Dante, and then they charge after him. Dante kicks one in the face, punches another one a few times in the stomach before upper cutting it, then shadowported around all of them, knocking them down by punching them in the face. Some more run up to him to attack him. Dante grabs his staff, swings it at two changelings, knocking them down. Two more run up to Dante, but he hits one of them in the face with one end of the staff and kicks the other in the face.
The changelings start to run and fly away, but a few were stupid enough to fight back. There were two changelings left. Dante shadowported below one of them, upper cutting it in the air, then he shadowported behind the changeling, while in the air, and hits it hard enough for it to fly across the courtyard, then he shadowported in front of the changeling and hits it to the ground. After the one changeling crashes to the ground, the other one flies after Dante, but he got on one hand and kicks the changeling up into the air.
Dante walked up to the two princesses. “Wow, I’ve gotten a little bit rusty since the last time” he said. “Luna, I want you to lead the troops in Manehattan” Celestia said. Luna nods as she flies off. “Come on, Dante, I need to show you something. Dante and Celestia walk to the Canterlot Hospital where the Mane 6 were located while in their comas. “This is what Discord has done” Celestia said.
“So what you’re basically telling me is that she” points to Twilight “is the new princess” points to Shining Armor “he’s her brother who is critically injured and her and her friends are the spirits of the Elements of Harmony” Dante said.
“Yes, but Discord has destroyed the Elements of Harmony. That is why they are in this coma.”
“Do you know how to wake them up?” Dante asked.
“No, unless the elements were repaired” Celestia said.
“Wait, Discord destroyed the elements?”
“Yes, and that is why he must be taken care of.”
Dante and Celestia walked out of the hospital and flew off to the Crystal Empire.

Dante and Celestia landed at the entrance to the empire that has now been taken over by Discord, Chrysalis, and the changelings “Wow” Dante said “That is a lot of changelings.” “That is why I need you, Dante” Celestia said. They both walked into the empire where they were stopped by one hundred changelings. Fifteen of them ran after Dante, but Dante took his staff, struck three of them in the head, knocking them unconscious. Nine of them attacked from the front, while three more attacked from behind. Dante kicked one from behind and hit the other two with his staff. The nine in front ran after Dante, but Dante countered their attack with the staff, knocking them all unconscious.
Only eighty-five left standing and sixty-nine of them charge in for an attack. Dante jumped into the air, striking two changelings with the staff as he makes his way down. Twelve more run in to attack, but Dante counters seven of them, only to be beaten by the other five. But Dante fights back and knocks them unconscious. Seventeen rush in, only to be stopped by Dante and get beaten. Twenty-two more changelings surround Dante. Dante plants one end of the staff on the ground and launches himself into the air with the changelings following. Dante grabs his staff and strikes them all down, shadowporting left and right, attacking them all in the process.
Out of all of the changelings, there were only thirty-two changelings left. Eight of them flew away and twelve more attacked Dante. Dante took out seven with his staff and took out five with his fists and only twelve more stands. The twelve left surrounded Dante, until a slow clap was heard in the distance. Some changelings stood aside to let the being in, which turns out to be a clone of Dante, only with a green charm around his neck.
“So” the clone said “You have defeated most of my army. But now, you must fight me.”
“Oh how nice” Dante responded “A changeling has transformed himself into a clone of me.”
“I am not a changeling, I am their commander.” The commander pulls out his sword “And now you must suffer your fate.”
“Yeah, the fate of looking at your ugly minions all day. Seriously, my eyes need a rest from your pony, bug, whatever they are, things.”
The commander ran after Dante and swings his sword at him, but Dante blocks the blow with his sword. “So, quick on your feet. How lovely” the commander said. Dante pushes the commander away and ran in for an attack, but the commander blocks the attack. Dante punches the commander in the face, causing him to lose focus and gave Dante enough time to sweep the commander. The commander shadowported behind Dante and kicks him across the battlefield. “So, you can shadowport, too” Dante said. “Yes, not only can I copy your looked, but I can copy your moves as well.” Dante shadowported behind the commander to attack, but the commander countered his attack by shadowporting behind him, punching him in the back, then shadowporting in front of him, punching him in the face. Dante falls to the ground and the commander shadowported above him and falls on him fist first.
Dante got up and shadowported towards the commander to strike him with his sword, but the commander quickly blocks the sword. “So, now who’s quick on their feet” Dante said with a smirk “But, try dodging” Dante shadowported behind the commander “This.” Dante knees the commander in the back with enough force to knock the charm off of him. The commander flies across the battlefield and got out of Dante’s form. Dante walked up to the commander and holds his sword up. “Okay, now I am going to finish you off once and for all” Dante yelled. “Please, don’t hurt me” The commander said. Dante developed a confused look on his face, until the commander looked up at Dante. Dante was in shock to see his opponent’s real form. “Hey” Dante said. He walked up to the commander, kneels down and puts his sword away. “You’re an elf. Just like I am.” “Yes” the commander replied. “What is your name” Dante asked. “My name is Brandon, Brandon Matthews.” “Why are you doing this Brandon? Why did you join forces with Discord?”
“Because I wanted power. I wanted to not be labeled as weak and helpless.”
“Look, Brandon, there is more to life than to have power.”
“What else is there?”
“Well, if you abandon your evil, you can discover the magic of friendship.”
“Friendship? But, but what if you’re the only elf besides you?”
“Well, it doesn’t matter if you’re an elf, pony, or hydra. Friendship works with all species.” Dante walked away “Oh by the way, what is your name” Brandon asked.
“My name is Dante.”
“Dante” Brandon exclaimed.
“So, you have heard of me before.”
“Yes, Discord has mentioned you. He said that you have defeated him over a thousand years ago. He also said that he was glad that you aren’t here to stop him this timed. Apparently, that idiot doesn’t know that you’re here.”
Dante laughs “Yeah, that moron is in for a big surprise. So, do you know where he’s at.”
“Yes, he’s located in the crystal castle.”
“Thanks Brandon. And if you need to talk to someone, come find me.”
Dante walked towards Celestia “So, I know where Discord is.”
“Oh, so he has changed location?” Celestia asked.
“If he is now located within the castle, than yes.”
“So in other words, he hasn’t left” Celestia said.
“Um, sure. I knew that the whole time. I was just checking to see if you knew.”
“Sure, let’s go with that” she said with a smirk. “Oh, by the way, what did you talk to him about?”
“I don’t know, but I think I am coming down with a fever or something” Dante responded.

After this explosion, Dante was lying down unconscious. Next to him was the Elements of Harmony. They have been repaired. "Dante, Dante, are you alright?" Celestia asked Dante. Dante got up. “Wh-What happened?" he asked. Celestia looked into Dante’s eyes “Dante, your eyes” she said. “What’s wrong with my eyes” Dante asked as he panics. “They’re not black and red. They’re normal.” “Define normal” Dante said. “Well, they’re green. And I don’t sense evil within you” Celestia said. She turns to look at the elements. "Look, the elements, they've been repaired."
"Whoa" Dante picks the elements up and observes them. "They must have used my evil to fix themselves."
"I hope this whole ‘elements absorbing my evil’ thing doesn't affect my shadow powers." Dante shadowported behind Celestia. "Nope."
Celestia turns around and walked past Dante "Come on, if the elements have been repaired, then that must mean that Twilight and her friends must have awakened from their coma. Grabs the elements and let's get out of here.” Dante grabs the elements, climbs on Celestia's back, and they fly off.
Back at Canterlot Hospital, the Main Six wake up from their comas. "Ah good, all of you are awake." Celestia said. Flash ran up to Twilight to give her a big hug. “Oh Flash, you never left my side didn’t you” Twilight asked.
“Not even for a second” he responded before they kiss.
"Celestia, what happened, has Discord been defeated?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, my dear. He's been defeated, destroyed, and we won't have to worry about him causing destruction ever again."
"Destroyed?" Applejack asked.
"Yes, destroyed, thanks to him." After Celestia finishes her sentence, Dante walked in to the room.
"Who are you?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"The name’s Dante. You've never heard of me?"
"Yes, you are an elf who has teamed up with Celestia to defeat Discord, then betrayed her afterwards." Twilight said.
"Yep, and history kind of repeated itself. Except the whole betraying thing. Because I am now on your side."
"Seriously?" Twilight asked.
"Seriously. Now let's get out of here. I can’t stand hospitals. The tools they use scare me with all those needles.”
The six ponies get out of bed and along with Flash, Celestia, and Dante walked out of the hospital room.
That day, the four princesses have organized a celebration in honor of the fallen and to give thanks to Dante for defeating Discord. "We are gathered here to honor the decease, which have fallen from Discord's invasion teaming up with the changelings." Celestia exclaims. "But we are also here to give thanks to one who has defeated Discord long ago. Only this time, he has not betrayed us. In fact, he is now one of us. I hereby welcome, to the royal guard, Dante." Everypony cheers as the doors open up, but silence when Dante isn't on the other side of the threshold. Everypony looked around in confusion wondering where Dante was at. Dante phases through the wall "Hey kids, wanna see a dead body?" Dante yelled, scaring all of the ponies in the room except Celestia.
Dante laughed "Even though I'm not evil, that is still funny." Celestia smiled "We all thank you for your bravery, Dante. And we give you these as a way to say thank you." Spike walked up to Dante with his weapons. “Hey, you’ve repaired them” Dante exclaimed. “Yes” Celestia said “But they are now different” Dante observed the weapons “Oh cool, the Royal emblem” he said. “Yes, you are now part of the royal guard” Celestia said. "Thanks princess." Dante said “So now that I am free, will I have a place to crash?” Twilight walked up to Dante “You can hang out with us at Ponyville.” “Sounds great, I would love.” Dante said in happiness.
"But" Celestia started "you have to stay here for a month for training into the royal guard."
Dante pondered for a minute "Meh, a month ain't that bad."
"We have a room already prepared for you" Cadence said "Just follow us and we'll" she snickers "we'll lead you to it."
Dante wondered why she was snickering and trying to hold back from laughing, but shrugged it off and followed her.
Later that day, Princess Cadence, along the Main Six walk down the hallway with Dante, leading him to his room “Wow” Dante said “This place looked better than when King” he pauses for a second “Sombrero ruled.” “You mean, Sombra” Applejack said. “Sombra, sombrero, same difference” Dante responded. “So, you remember back when he did rule?” Cadence asked. “Yep, and this place looked horrible. Seriously, he was a pig. Trash everywhere” he points to one of the walls “Some weird stuff hanging from that wall over there” he points to a corner “Rotten food piled in that corner. Yeah, it was awful.”
They walk into a rotunda and Dante stops to look around the room. “Wow” he said “This room is very round.” They continue walking until they walk up to two doors leading into Dante’s room. The eight ponies stop a couple feet away from the doors as Dante was still walking and steps in front of the doors. “So, there’s your room” Rainbow Dash said as the group was trying to hold from laughing. Dante looked at the ponies with a confused look on his face. “I don’t know what everypony’s deal is.” Dante opens the doors “It’s just a” Dante looked in the room when suddenly, Princess Luna, disguised as Nightmare Moon, jumped out at Dante and screams.
Dante got scared and jumped back a couple of feet. Luna turns back into her original form and starts laughing with the group at Dante. Dante was breathing heavily from the fright he has experienced. He looked at everypony “What was the reason for that” he asked. “That was for scaring everypony during the ceremony” Luna responds as the group was still laughing. Dante then realizes “This pranking thing won’t end will it” he asked with a straight face. “I hope you all realize that I will get” he points to Luna “you back for this.” “Oh, so this is now a prank war” Luna said. “Yes and you will not expect what’s coming to you” Dante said.

The next day, Luna came to visit the Crystal Empire and ran into Dante.
“Hello, Dante” she said.
Dante looked at her trying to hold in a grin “Oh, hey Luna” he said. Luna walked past him and opened a slightly opened door, when suddenly, a bucket of water fell on her head and Luna got soaked. “Remember when you pranked me and I waged a war against you” Dante threw a hand full of flour at Luna “Well, war on.” Dante walked away as Luna was thinking of a way to get him back.
A little over a half an hour later, Dante and Flash were walking down the hallway talking to each other. “So, I was surrounded by these ugly bug-pony things” Dante said.
“Oh, changelings” Flash interrupted.
“Yeah, well I was surrounded by those things. They rushed after me from all directions.”
“What did you do?”
“Well, if I didn’t have my staff, I would’ve been in great trouble.”
“So, you’re some kind of fighter.”
“Yeah, I am a master of the fighting arts. Basically, if you put something like a staff or nun chucks into my hands, I can do serious damage to someone or something.”
“How many weapons do you have in your armory?” Flash asked as they both walk up to Dante’s doors leading to his room.
“Well, check it out for yourself” Dante said as he opened his doors, but walked out of the castle and fell eight stories down, screaming on the way. After landing on the ground, Luna flew up to him.
“So, did you have a nice fall?” she asked Dante as he looked up at her.
“Really, a portal spell?” Dante asked in frustration.
“Well, at least you’re not soaking wet and covered in flour.”
“Yeah, that is totally worse than having horrible pain throughout your entire body” Dante said sarcastically.
Luna walked into the kitchen to see Applejack and Pinkie Pie baking cupcakes.
“Hey there, princess” Applejack said.
“You’re just in time” Pinkie said “The cupcakes are almost done.”
“Well, I could go for a few cupcakes. Hey, have you two seen Dante around” Luna asked. They both shake their head. The timer went off on the oven and Applejack pulled out a tray of one dozen cupcakes and set the tray down on the counter. Luna walked up to the tray and noticed an odd cupcake. “Why is this cupcake different from the rest” she asked. Both Applejack and Pinkie looked at the single different cupcake in confusion.
“We don’t know” Pinkie said “I don’t think that we made batter for that one.” Luna picked the odd cupcake up with her magic to inspect it. She bit down on it, having it explode and paint her, Applejack, and Pinkie’s face with blue paint. They looked over to see Dante eating an apple with a grin on his face.
“Man, I love dye packs. Great for pwning ponies” he said as he walked away.
Dante was walking down the hallway towards his room. He walked in front of his doors and about to open them when he realizes the last time there was a portal on the other side of the doors. He cautiously opens one of the doors slowly and peaks inside. He saw that there was no portal leading outside or anywhere, just a dark room. He flicks the switch turning on the lights to see that the whole room was upside down. Looking at the room with a surprised look, Luna walked behind him with a smile on her face. He turns around “Put it back the way it was please” he said calmly. “As you wish” Luna said before reversing the inverted gravity spell that she used to enchant his room. When the gravity in Dante’s room turns back to normal, all of his things in his room fall to the ground and the impact of the furniture shakes the entire castle and caused a loud bang. The whole time, Dante looked away, but he didn’t have to since he knew what has just happened. “I’m not cleaning that up” he said as he walked away. Rarity ran up to him and asked “What was that loud noise?” “Ask Luna” Dante said.
Luna walked down a hallway with a mirror covering an entire wall. As she was walking, she notices a shadow figure at the corner of her eye. She stops to investigate and looked in the mirror. After looking in the mirror for a few seconds, a ghost pops up and screams, scaring Luna. After that, two more ghosts that looked just like the ghost in the mirror phase through two doors and run after the princess. After the two ghosts close in on Luna, they stop running and the one on the left takes off its cloak and Dante starts laughing. “But, but how did you do that” Luna asked while breathing heavily after being scared half to death. “Did you forget? I have shadow abilities. That other ghost is a shadow clone.” The other ghost poofs away. “And that one in the mirror was also a clone that I have put in the mirror.” The other ghost steps out of the mirror and poofs away. “So, you give up” Dante asked. “Just you wait, I will get you back and you will regret starting this war.” Dante rolled his eyes and walked away.
Dante was walking down to his room, but when he turns to the hallway leading to his room, he saw that the entire hallway was covered in spider webs. Dante shakes his head “Oh come on, princess, sometimes you are so pathetic” he said to himself. He walked to about half way down the hallway when a giant fake spider falls on him, but he doesn’t realize that it was a fake. He freaks out and punches the spider, having it blow up and cover Dante in blue paint. Dante was standing there in shock as Luna walked out of his room. “You’re right, dye packs are great” she said with a cocky attitude.
Luna was sitting on the balcony of the crystal castle, watching down on the Crystal Empire, when suddenly, Dante snuck up behind her with two buckets. Luna was unaware that Dante was sneaking up and about to pour an entire bucket of poison joke pedals on her. “Hey Luna” Dante exclaimed. Luna turned her head towards Dante before dumping the bucket on her. Next thing Luna knew, her horn curled up and one wing grew while the other wing shrunk. “Dante, what is going on? Reverse this now.” “Calm down, I have the cure in this other bucket.” Dante holds up the bucket filled with water mixed with the herbs used to cure the effects from the poison joke. “It just looked like water” Luna said. “Watch” Dante said before dumping the bucket on her, soaking her. Then, her wings and horn turn back to normal. Then, Dante got a handful of flour and throws it at Luna. “Really, flour again?”
“Yep. It’s my thing when it comes to pranking.”
“Where did you get this flour anyways? I didn’t see you with it at first.”
“I know a guy.”
“That doesn’t explain anything.”
“That sounds like a you problem” Dante said before walking away, leaving a soaked and floured Luna confused.
Dante looked around the castle, trying to find Luna. He walked into the kitchen to find Spike making tea. “Hey Spike” he said “Have you seen Luna anywhere?” “Yeah” Spike said “She had to leave early to prepare to raise the moon. She said that she forfeits the war, but I don’t know what she’s talking about.” “Luna and I were in a prank war” he notices the tea “Hey, is that tea you’re making?” “Yeah, Twilight has an upset stomach so I am making her tea to help.” “Cool” Dante said “Can I have some?” “Sure” Spike responded. He pours Dante a cup of tea, giggling in the process, and pours salt in it instead of sugar, but Dante wasn’t aware that it isn’t sugar. Dante notices Spike’s laughter “Hey Spike, why are you laughing” he asked. “Oh, I’m just remembering a joke Pinkie told me earlier” he hands Dante his cup of tea “Here you go” he said with a giggle. “Must be a funny joke” Dante said before taking a drink of his tea. Dante realizes the awful taste of salt and spits out the tea. “Hey, what’s with the salt” he asked angrily. “Oh yeah” Spike said “Princess Luna also told me to do one last prank for you before the day ends.” Dante got upset “Oh really? Be right back.” Dante shadowported away.
Twilight and Flash were sitting on the balcony of the crystal castle, watching the sunset with Flash’s foreleg around Twilight. Dante shadowported next to them. “Oh, hi there Dante” Twilight said “How have you been while I was in Canterlot?” “Oh, well, Luna stopped by and we got into a prank war.” “Oh yeah” Flash said “How did that go?” “Well, it came close, but I think I have won.” “What did you do to win” Twilight asked. “Oh, you’ll see in a minute” Dante said. The sun sets as the moon rises, but there was something odd about the moon. It had a big troll face on it. Dante starts to laugh out loud. Both Celestia and Luna teleport to Dante. “How dare you ruin my moon” Luna yells in her Canterlot voice. “That is not a prank. That is classified as going too far.” “What is this pranking I hear” Celestia asked. “Well, you see princess, Luna and I have been in a prank war and I think I’ve won” Dante said. “Both of you need to end this right now. It is tearing you too apart” Celestia said. Both Luna and Dante stop to think, Dante looked at the moon that he has ruined with graffiti, and then he looked back at Luna “I guess I did go a little far” he said “Maybe we should stop.” “Yeah, I guess we should” Luna said “But, someday, I will get you back.” “And I’ll get you back, and the war will be in an endless loop. But I promise to never ruin your moon if you never use that portal spell on me.” She nods at Dante with a smile.

Twas a fine evening at the castle where Dante was in his room, sitting at a desk, and drawing on a blank piece of paper which he found in the library, when Twilight walked into his room and notices this going on.
“Hello, Dante” said the purplish lavender alicorn.
“Can’t talk, drawing” Dante responded hastily. Twilight glances at the folder full of uncolored drawings lying next to Dante’s left arm.
“What are you drawing” Twilight asked.
“Well” Dante began to explain “I am drawing some pictures of epic battles with the wild animals of the Everfree Forest fighting this epic legendary hero that I just came up with.”
“Legendary…. Hero” Twilight questioned.
“Yes, his name is Chad Goldmane. He’s the epic hero who conquers kingdoms and saves villages from wicked beasts, specifically from the Everfree Forest. I mean, it makes sense that they’re ONLY from there so, why not? Am I right?”
“Yeah, I guess.” Twilight thinks for a second while looking at what Dante is drawing. “Why is his name Chad” she asks. Dante lifts the unfinished drawing up.
“Because, well look at him. Doesn’t he look like a ‘Chad’?” Twilight gazes and observes the single drawn character.
“Yeah, he actually kind of does look like a ‘Chad’” Twilight said in agreement. “So, who is ‘Chad’ fighting in THIS drawing?”
“He’s fighting a pack of timber wolves. The only way he will defeat them is to throw rocks at them with a sling shot. But this sling shot is the most epic sling shot you’ll ever come across. But it wouldn’t be wise to be on the other side of it” Dante said with an epic tone.
“What else does Chad battle” Twilight asked, seeming interested in Dante’s work.
“Well” Dante put his pencil down to open the folder next to him to show Twilight the other drawings. “Here, he fights an alligator. Here, he fights a hydra with five heads, known as Progenious, the wisest and most evil hydra in the land, my most favorite, and best drawing in my opinion.” Twilight examines all of Dante’s drawings, interested in each one.
“You know, Dante, I was thinking of bringing in some nice decorations to the castle. Do you mind if I took some of your drawings and hang them up? That way, everypony can see them.”
“Well, I just need to color them, and then all we would do is just frame ‘em up and hang ‘em up. I just need to pick up some colored pencils. I was looking around Canterlot and found an interesting shop where they sell cool art supplies, but they were expensive, so I have to go back, since I have enough money now, and buy the stuff.”
“Is that where you got this paper from? It looks ancient.”
“Actually, I found this paper in the library within this castle. It looked decent enough that when I would pick it up or write on it, that it wouldn’t turn into dust, like half of everything in this ancient bore-house, so I thought why not do a little drawing. And here I am now.”
“Wait, bore-house” Twilight asked in disagreement.
“Yeah, speaking of which, I said I can’t talk, so, what do I not want to do right now?” Dante gave Twilight a cocky grin while Twilight gave him an annoyed look.
Later that day, Dante was standing in the hallway of the castle entrance, staring at a blank wall, when Spike walked down the stairs and noticed Dante.
“Hey, Dante” he said “Whatcha doin’?”
“Well, lately I have been drawing some pretty sick pics. Twilight saw some of them and wanted to hang them up here. So I’m just looking around to see what would be a great place to hang them.” They both observe the same blank wall for a minute, then Spike shakes his head.
“Yeah, I can see this wall being the best for a gallery” he said.
“Yeah, it would be a nice wall” Dante’s eyes glow red “To take over.” His eyes go back to normal.
“What did you say” Spike asked in confusion.
“I was agreeing with you. This wall would be nice.”
“Oh, okay then.” Spike walked away slowly.
Dante walked into the store, where they sold the special colored pencils Dante wanted to buy.
“Hello again” the store clerk said in a hushed and dark tone.
“Hey, I’m here for the pencils.”
“Ah, yes” the clerk pulled out a wooden box “The mystical pencils.”
“Whatever, I’m in it for the sweet lookin’ box” Dante exclaimed.
“Do you have enough bits now?” Dante pulled out a silk bag full of bits and tossed it to the clerk. Then the clerk slid the box, which was sitting on the desk, over to Dante, in which he picked the box up and headed for the door.
“Thank you for your purchase. I hope you can come again” the clerk said.
“Sure, why not” Dante said as he walked out the door.
That night, Dante was sitting at his desk, finishing the coloring of his last drawing. He noticed how late it was, so when he finished, he blew out the candle that was giving him light and went to bed. The next morning, Dante awoke to find the pony gang, along with Spike, surrounding his bed with a shocked look on their faces.
“Uh, hey guys, what’s up?”
“Dante” Twilight began to say “Did you do anything last night?”
“Well, all I did when I got here was put the finishing touches on my drawings and went to bed. Why?”
“Darling” Rarity began to say “Your drawings are very nice, but now they’re terrorizing Ponyville.” Dante got out of bed.
“Oh ha ha, very funny” Dante said sarcastically. Spike was at Dante’s desk observing his drawings when he noticed something.
“Uh, Dante” Spike began to say “You said that you were finished coloring these, r-right?”
“Yeah. Why?” Spike held the drawings up for everyone to see.
“Look” he exclaimed, showing the drawings with no color on them. Everypony, including Dante, looked at the drawings in shock. Everyone gasped.
“Where did you get those colored pencils anyway” Rainbow Dash asked.
“I, I got them at a shop in Canterlot called ‘Chaos-Filled Antiques and Artifacts’.” Everypony, and Spike, looked at Dante in annoyance and anger. “What, I thought it was a cool name, so I decided to check it out” Dante said trying to defend himself from any criticism.
Dante’s bedroom doors burst open. Everyone in the room looked back to see who it was. What they find is something that looked familiar, an epic hero, Chad Goldmane.
“Come with me, heroes” he exclaimed “We must protect Equestria from Progenious.”

Dante got out of his bed and walked up to Chad.
“Okay” he exclaimed “First off, I don’t need to know who you are, Chad, but I do wanna know how you are standing in front of me and talking and all of that?”
“I” he paused “I have no idea. I was about to step hoof into the temple of Progenious, when my vision went dark. I then ended up in a strange village, under attack by Timberwolves. I talked to an unfamiliar creature, Zebra I think, and she said that I was in Pony-ville? She also spoke of you eight, that you can help me on this quest to stop Progenious and his wicked spells and creatures.” Dante thought for a moment.
Dante sighs “I’ll get my staff.”
The six ponies and Spike follow Dante as he headed out the bedroom door. Chad turned his head to watch the elf, dragon, and ponies walk out the door. Then, he noticed that Twilight had both wings and a horn. Being the epic hero he is, he thought right away that Twilight is a princess.
“Oh my” he exclaimed as he kneeled down to Twilight “I am terribly sorry for not acknowledging you, princess.”
Twilight’s face turned red as she became flustered. “Oh, um. That’s, alright? I guess.” She looked around and focused on Dante, hoping that he would do something, but Dante was looking down at Chad with a look as if he wanted to slap Chad in the back of the head.
“Chad” Dante yelled “Knock it off. You look like an idiot.” Dante walked out the door, with everypony and Spike, and walked down the hallway, to the main entrance.
The group of nine walked into the entrance to Ponyville where they saw Timberwolves attacking the not-so-small village. They stood there to watch the mayhem happening before them. Dante and Chad looked at each other, nodded to one another as if they knew exactly what they are about to do, and attacked the threat upon the poor village. Dante ran to the right of the group as Chad ran the opposite direction of Dante.
Dante stopped running as about twenty-two timberwolves began to surround him. Dante looked around to see all of them looking at him as if he was a succulent five-star dinner, in an evil way. They ran after Dante, only to be stopped by the swing of Dante’s staff. In one swift swing, seven timberwolves were destroyed and in pieces. The remaining fifteen stood and watched as seven of their own were destroyed. The timberwolves grew angrier and attacked Dante all at once. Dante reacted with haste as he took all of the timberwolves at once. With the staff, he struck two of them across the face, one in the chest, and came down on one’s head, destroying the skull and cranium before the whole body fell to pieces.
Meanwhile, Chad was also surrounded by timberwolves, but triple of the amount that Dante had to deal with, but with a few swings of his sword, Chad defeated more than half the pack surrounding him. After about an hour of fighting, the two warriors met each other during battle and teamed up to fight the entire pack together. But with each dozen timberwolves destroyed, more were appearing and attacking, overwhelming the two. But when the two thought that all hope was lost, the Mane 6, along with Spike, stepped in and helped them defeat each and every last timberwolf.
They stopped to celebrate their victory, when suddenly; the pieces of the defeated timberwolves were joining together. Each piece was connecting to one another to form a giant hydra. The hydra had three heads, but while it stood in front of the group of nine, more heads were beginning to form.
“Well” Dante began to say “we’re boned.” The hydra roared at them. “We need to attack each head before more start to form” Dante exclaimed.
The group of nine split up to attack each head. Spike and Applejack went with Dante, Rarity and Rainbow Dash went along with Twilight, and Pinkie and Fluttershy was fighting with Chad. With each blow, the hydra responded; either with physical damage upon one of the nine or would do something that would prevent one of the nine to attack. Dante’s group has managed to destroy a head, but another head formed after that.
“Oh, just lovely” Dante shouted “Another head to welcome us to possible death.” Dante looked around to find another solution to defeat this creature. He then noticed a weak spot in the center of the fiend’s body. “Everypony, attack the center” he cried out.
The two other groups stopped their attack on the designated heads to focus their attack on the weak spot. The Mane 6 gathered around to form a circle with Chad and Dante to step in the middle of it. Each of the six focused their elemental energy on the two warriors in the middle. The six then used their energy to blast the two towards the monster, shooting them through the weak spot, destroying it permanently. The two land on the castle balcony, only to be met by the six teleported by Twilight. They all celebrated for a minute until they were transported to a mysterious cave. They looked around in confusion, until they saw him.
“Welcome” the creature said “This is where your fate ends.” Chad stared at the creature in shock.
“It, it’s him” he said in fear “Progenious.”
“Progenious” the rest of them shouted.
“Okay” Dante shouted “So there are five heads and nine of us. So, Rainbow, Twilight, Applejack, Chad and I will attack each head. Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie, and Spike, feel free to join any of us.”
“Oh, good plan warrior” Progenious exclaimed “too bad it won’t work considering I overheard everything.”
“You” Dante shouted back “shut up. Okay everypony, attack!”
The nine all ran towards Progenious, each attacking each head one at a time, but was no effect to the hydra. Dante jumped to strike one of the heads with his staff, but another swung its head at him, hitting Dante, making him fly across the cave and hitting his head on a rock. He was unconscious for a minute, and then finally woke up.
“Uh, my head” he said. He looked around. “My vision. I can’t see anything.” He lifted his hand to notice a purple light surrounding his hand and arm. “Hm, at least I can see my aura and some of my arm.” He then looked at the battle that was happening before him. He then noticed that he can see everyone else’s auras, but there was something different with Chad and Progenious. They were all purple. It was if they were nothing but aura. “Wait” he thought to himself “that’s weird. I can only see their auras. They, they are the same as mine. But why can’t I see their bodies, yet I can see mine and everypony else’s?” Dante then remembered what the store clerk said that gave him those colored pencils.
Mystical Pencils. He also remembered what else he said. The.
“Okay” Dante thought to himself “that seriously doesn’t help.” He then thought about what the clerk said when he first went to the store for the pencils.
“These pencils are not your ordinary pencils. These have a mystical energy to them. I would not recommend them to anypony with magical powers, since the graphite within the pencils will absorb some of their energy, causing whatever they colored in to come to life and terrorize their surroundings.”
“Maybe I should’ve paid attention to that last part” he thought to himself. His headache from the impact came back, causing Dante to get angry at the fact that he’s badly hurt and could still barely see anything. “Whose stupid idea was it to enchant pencils in the first place” he shouted.
Dante ran up to the eight others fighting Progenious.
“Everypony, gather ‘round” he called “I found something out.” Everypony ran up to Dante to see what he has to say. “The utensils that I’ve purchased were enchanted. When fused with magic, the drawings that I’ve used them on came to life.”
“Wait” Applejack exclaimed “what does that have to do with fightin’ five heads over yonder?”
“Because he was in my drawings. The graphite in the pencils fused with my magical energy to bring all of these to life. So that means that Chad here is also one of them.” Chad thought deeply to himself.
“Of course, that explains why I was almost at Progenious’ cave when I mysteriously teleported to your home village.”
“So” Rainbow Dash began to say “In other words, these things that we’re fighting. They’re”
“They’re shadow creatures” Dante interrupted “And the only way to destroy a shadow creature is to drain it of its energy.”
“Then I will join it as well” Chad said “even if it means I will be sacrificing myself to do so.”
“You are a brave warrior” Dante responded.
The six ponies gathered around in a circle, with Chad in the middle. But this time, Dante was away from the circle. The six ponies focused their elemental energy to launch Chad toward Progenious. Dante was focusing his energy, but was focusing to absorb Chad and Progenious. Chad launched after the hydra, shooting right through the creature, only to be stuck in its abdomen. The creature was injured, along with Chad, who was injured on impact. The six then focused their energy on Dante to help him absorb Progenious and Chad, in which Dante succeeded.
The battle was over and the eight was transported back to the castle in Ponyville. They had a minute to celebrate.
“Hey Dante” Spike started “What are you gonna to do with those magical colored pencils?”
“Well, first thing’s first, I’m gonna burn them. Then talk to Celestia about closing that shop.” Dante walked away and back to the castle.

The Myestery at the Museum
Twilight, Spike, and Rainbow Dash walked into the castle when they heard a noise coming from the basement.
“Wh, who’s in here” Twilight exclaimed.
“Who do ya think” Dante responded. The three looked at each other in confusion. Dante never stepped foot in the basement, they didn’t think Dante even knew of the basement.
The three walked down the stairs to see Dante at the laboratory holding to test tubes, both with a clear liquid in them. The three panic.
“Dante” Twilight exclaimed “Put those down immediately.”
“What’s in those glasses he’s holding” Rainbow Dash asked.
“I don’t know” Twilight replied “but whatever they are might blow up the whole room. No, Ponyville itself.” Dante looked at the panicking trio in annoyance.
“No” Dante responded. He held up the right tube “this one has NaOH” he then held up the left tube “and this one has HCl.”
“Still” Twilight responded “That hydrochloric acid will hurt you.” Dante looked at her displeased. He then poured both liquids in a glass beaker.
“Oh no, these chemicals, they’re melting me” Dante said sarcastically. When both test tubes were emptied, he put them down on the table, picked up a glass stirring stick, and then began to mix the two compounds together.
“Twilight” Rainbow Dash began to panic “what’s he doing?”
“Relax Rainbow” Spike began “he’s just making salt water. Nothing will explode.” Rainbow Dash stopped to think.
“Hey Dante” she began “why don’t you just pour some salt in some water?”
“Because using two chemicals that can do severe damage to my body to make a simple ingredient sounded fun” Dante said as he was mixing the two substances. When Dante finished mixing, he picked the beaker up and took a sip of the new substance. After tasting the awful taste of the liquid, he spit the liquid out. “Aw, that tasted awful.”
“Why did you even do that” Rainbow Dash asked. Dante shrugged his shoulders.
Spike then coughed up a letter.
“Huh” Twilight began in wonder “I wonder what Celestia wants.” She picked up the letter with her magic and began to read it. Dante, Rainbow Dash, and Spike gathered behind Twilight to read along. Twilight gasped “We have to go” she exclaimed before running towards the stairs.
“What is it” Dante asked as the four of them followed Twilight up the stairs.
“Celestia said that the Canterlot Art Museum was robbed last night. A precious vase was taken.” They ran out the door of the castle.
Celestia was pacing back and forward in the castle courtroom as the four ran in to meet with her.
“Yo, Celestia” Dante started “what’s up? What’s this about a theft?”
“I’m glad you decided to join” Celestia said with a smile of relief “we would need your ability for this mission.”
“Celestia” Twilight started “do you have any information on who did these heists?”
“Not yet. Luna is now gathering information on the scene as we speak. We’ve tried to look at surveillance footage, but the criminal in question cut the chords of the cameras, so we couldn’t identify what this pony looks like, assuming it even is a pony.”
“So what do you want us to do about all of this” Dante asked in a critical tone.
“I want you three to go on a steak-out within the museum overnight. Hopefully we can capture this criminal” she looked at Rainbow Dash “you can join them as well if you want, Rainbow Dash.”
“An overnight stay at a museum to catch an expert in the thieving arts” Rainbow Dash said to herself in excitement “sounds like fun!”
“And by we” Dante began to say “you most likely mean not you.”
“I have other important matters to attend to. I will meet up with you again when you guys capture this criminal. But until then, we will be separated.” The four ran out of the room. “But before you go, make sure you get your rest, you have a long night ahead.”
“So, you stop us just to tell us to get some sleep” Dante questioned.
“I know I don’t have to tell Twilight, but I know that you like sleep in on important businesses.”
“Yeah, well, I assure you that I will not sleep through this assignment. That’ll show you.”
Later that night, Twilight, Spike, and Rainbow Dash have finished setting up a home base within the museum while Dante was asleep. Rainbow walked up to the sleeping elf and hit him upside the head.
“Hey sleepy, wake up” she yelled. Dante rubbed his head.
“What if I’m awake and you’re asleep” Dante asked.
“I, uh, what?”
“I don’t know, I’m too tired to make sense.” Dante got up and walked out of the entrance “I’m gonna find the drinking fountain.”
Later on, Dante was standing in the entrance while Twilight and Spike were watching surveillance monitors and Rainbow Dash was sneaking around the museum to capture the crook away from base. A loud shatter from a display room in the back of the building. Rainbow hastily flew to the location while Twilight teleported her and Spike to the scene. Spike shined his flashlight at the being, only to find out that it was Dante.
“Dante?” the three shouted.
“He-hey guys. What’s up” he asked.
“I thought you were standing at the entrance of the base” Twilight stated.
“That was just a shadow clone. I needed a decoy so I can place this expensive vase that was stolen back on display.”
“So, you know who stole it” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Yeah, I stole it.”
“What?” they all yelled.
“Why did you steal it” Twilight asked.
“Because I got bored, so I decided to rob this museum.”
“So, you steal things out of boredom” Spike asked.
“Yeah, maybe I should look into some sort of hobby.” The three of them paused, giving Dante a frustrated look,
“No, really” they all said.
“Wow, you guys are really in sync with each other” Dante pointed out.

The Mystery of Another Museum is Now the New Mystery and Stuff
A week later, another incident accrued, only this time it was at the Manehattan Art Museum and School. A priceless bust of Starswirl the Bearded made out of pure platinum and jade was stolen and two security guards were injured. Dante was taken in for questioning since he was targeted as the main suspect. He was sitting in a dark room with a single light shining over a table of which he was sitting at. Flash Sentry walked in, wearing a button-up long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up half-way, and sunglasses.
“Flash” Dante started “you were sent to question me?”
“Shut-up maggot. I ask the questions and you answer them nervously.”
“Well, I love being interviewed. Tell me, will this be in Shooting Star Magazine” Dante asked sarcastically.
“What did I just say? I ask, you answer, maggot.”
“Ey bra, don’t call me maggot.” Flash took his sun glasses off with his hooves.
“So, where were you two nights ago at twelve-fifteen a.m.?”
“Sleeping, next question.”
“So, if you were sleeping, why did surveillance video capture you in the museum, stealing this precious artifact?” Flash held up a picture of the artifact with his wing, revealing it to Dante.
“Wait, what do you mean” Dante asked.
“Frank, bring in the TV.” A stallion rolled a television on a cart with a DVD player attached to it. Flash turned the television on, showing Dante the video clip of an elf-like figure walking up to a glass display box with the bust inside, punching it, then taking it. The video cut to static, then turned back to footage of two security guards running towards the figure down a hallway, both being stopped by the figure attacking them, then teleporting out of the shot with what appeared to be shadows.
“That looks a lot like me, but who would do such a thing?”
“Maybe, it was YOU.” Flash pointed a hoof at Dante. Twilight then walked in.
“Flash, Dante is innocent.”
“How do you know?”
“Because last night, I was at the Castle of the Royal Sisters. I forgot one of my books there. While I was there, I’ve seen Dante lying in bed sleeping.
“How do you know it wasn’t a shadow clone?”
“Because, my suspicions have led me to think that, but then I slammed a book onto his chest. Normally, if it were a clone, it would just vanish, but Dante just sat up, swung his fists, and then fell on the floor.” Dante thought for a moment.
“Huh, so that’s why I woke up on the floor with horrible chest pain.”
“Dante, I’ve been talking to Luna about this latest crime” Twilight said “she thinks that somepony is using a shape shifting spell to frame you.”
“Gee, I wonder why somepony would want to do that” Dante questioned.
“Because you’re a jerk” Flash whispered to himself.
“Hey, I heard that” Dante exclaimed.
“And what are you gonna do about it?” Dante pulled out his staff.
“You really wanna go there Sentry?” Twilight stepped between them and pushed each other apart from one another.
“Okay you two, break it up” Twilight yelled. “Dante, Luna has a plan to capture this copycat criminal. She wants to meet with you to discuss the plan.” Dante nodded, and then left the room.
Later that night, the Equestrian History museum in Manehattan was being infiltrated by the criminal. After taking out three security guards, he walked up to a display case protecting a necklace worn by Princess Platinum from before the rule of Celestia and Luna. He broke the glass case, reaching in, and grabbed the artifact. He then felt a sharp pain in his back. He looked back to see Dante with his fist dug into his spine, holding the criminal up. Dante dropped the breathless criminal onto the ground, and then took off the mask hiding his face to see Dante’s own face.
“Alright, show me your true face” Dante shouted. Just then, a green beam of light came from the clone’s forehead, having a black horn appear and zapped Dante back with a magical energy beam. The clone then morphed with a slime-green aura around it. It then got on all fours and morphed into a pony-like body. The aura faded away, revealing a changeling.
“Hello, Dante” the changeling said.
“A changeling? But how did you survive? I turned your entire race to stone.”
“I was saved by trapping myself in a cocoon. And now I want my revenge. You’ve made my race endangered, with me as the only surviving member of the changeling race. You will pay.” The changeling ran up to Dante, jumped, then flew after Dante with one of its legs out, kicking Dante, but Dante grabbed the hoof and threw the changeling to the wall behind him. Dante’s eyes turned black and red and formed wings from shadow. The changeling hit a wall, then Dante flew towards the changeling and kneeing it in the stomach, pinning it to the wall in the process.
“You, you have wings” the changeling shouted.
“Yes” Dante replied with an evil grin “and you’re aching from fall damage.”
“No I’m no-“ the changeling was interrupted when Dante released it from his grip, having the changeling fall, then gain control and started to fly. “Are you forgetting, I have win-“ the changeling was interrupted again when Dante got his staff and hit the changeling over the head with it, causing it to fly to the ground rapidly, making a large indent in the floor when the changeling made contact. Dante landed, holding out his right hand, having his wings vanish and the shadows from the wings form into a ball in his hand.
Princess Luna and two of her guards appeared in the entrance to the room. Dante’s eyes turned back to normal before she or her guards could even notice.
“That’s enough, Dante” Luna said “we have it from here.” She turned her look to the changeling on the floor. “It appears that one of these disgusting creatures got loose. No matter, off to the dungeon you go.” The two guards, both unicorns, released a magic beam from their horns, creating an aura around the changeling’s body, forcing it into submission. The two guards then teleported away from Luna and Dante to the dungeon.
“Well, good thing that’s over with” Dante said in relief. “Have you checked the injured guards?”
“Yes” Luna responded “no critical injuries, but a few days in bed will be best for them.” Dante nodded in respond.

A quiet day turned to panic as Spike was doing some cleaning in the library. Moving his cleaning to the basement where he noticed that the Elements of Harmony (that was returned to them since Discord removed them from the tree, only to destroy them in the end and yet have them be restored and placed back in their glass display case) were gone. Spike panicked and ran to Twilight to tell her the bad news. Later that day, the Mane 6, Spike, and Dante were standing around the glass case, bear of the elements, wondering where they could’ve gone, or if anyone took them.
“Spike, are you sure you didn’t see anything suspicious before you came down here” Twilight asked in panic.
“I just walked down here and noticed that they’re gone” Spike pulled out a scroll that he found on the sight “but I did find this.” Twilight levitated the scroll in front of her and opened to read it. The rest of the gang gathered behind her. Just then, an orb of light flashed in the room, blinding everyone and distracting them from reading the scroll. Celestia appeared out of the orb when it faded. Everyone, except for Dante and Twilight bowed at her presence.
“Everypony, I have some terrible news.”
“Yeah” Dante responded before moving aside to show Celestia the empty case “We know.” Celestia gasped.
“So, he even took them as well.”
“Who” everyone asked.
“King Sombra” Celestia said with a worried tone.
“But, but princess” Applejack began “I thought he was defeated years ago. How the hey did he come back?”
“I don’t know, but I do know that he’s back, not to just take the Crystal Empire back, but the whole land of Equestria.”
“Hey” Dante shouted as he held the scroll open “Check this out.” He showed everypony the scroll to reveal a map with a riddle on it that said
To get you elements back, you must first find yourselves, before finding your hearts.
“Well, that is the worst riddle I have ever read” Dante said. “I mean, I remember him being illiterate, but come on.”
“You two knew each other back then” Fluttershy asked.
“Oh yeah, I kind of hung out with him out of pity. Everypony either hated or feared him. Even though I was evil before, I still had some sympathy, but barely.” Celestia levitated the map in front of her for her to read.
“Well, you ponies now know what you must do.” Dante’s eyes then flashed red and black for a quick second, and then returned to normal.
“Wait, wait, wait” Dante interrupted, walking up to Celestia while cracking his knuckles “Why don’t I go alone and get the elements myself” he pulled out his staff “I would like a personal get-together with him” he said with a big grin on his face.
Celestia smiled “Very well, Dante. But before you go” her horn formed an orb of a dim, white light at the tip. She lowered her head, having her horn meet with the top end of Dante’s staff. The staff then formed an aura around it, matching the color of Celestia’s orb. Her horn then produced a bright light, bright enough to blind everypony, Spike, and Dante. When the light faded, Dante looked back at his staff, only to see it different, at the end of it, where Celestia meet with her horn, stood a Pegasus with its wings spread out. “I’ve enchanted your staff with a magic spell. Your staff is now the Skyblinder Staff. You can use it to light your way and defeat Sombra, once and for all.”
Dante examined the new staff. “And how is that” he asked. He pointed it to a corner in the room; it then began to shine a dim light. Pinkie ran in front of the staff to examine the glowing light.
“Ooo” she said out of curiosity. The staff’s light grew brighter, releasing a large beam of light directly at Pinkie. She stared directly towards the light beam. “Pretty colors” she said slowly. Dante aimed the staff toward the wall next to him away from Pinkie. She lost sight and balance and was stumbling around the room while everyone was watching her.
Celestia and Dante turn to each other. “Dante, according to this map, you will be traveling through treacherous obstacles. Are you sure you want to take this journey alone?”
“Yeah, I would like to face Sombra alone. Hopefully slapping some literary sense into him” he held the map up “so he can at least learn how to write a decent riddle! Seriously, is he trying to be scary or threatening, or what?” He walked up the stairs to the castle with the rest of the ponies and Spike following. They followed him out of the castle and to the edge of town. Dante stopped to browse the map. He closed it and turned his attention toward the gang of eight. “If I don’t come back within three days, come and rescue me. Otherwise I will be back by then.” He opened the map back up and browsed it some more. “I might be wrong though, it may take me at the most seven days.” He closed the map “So, if I’m not back within a week.”
“We’ll come and get you” Twilight interrupted.
Rarity walked up to Dante, levitating a scarf with her. “Here you are darling, just in case it gets cold on your way.”
Dante grabbed the scarf and fashioned it around his neck. “Thanks Rarity, thank you all. I will see you soon.” He walked away into the distance and vanished.
“W-wait” Fluttershy started “can’t he just teleport to there? Does he have to face all of that s-s-scary stuff?”
“YES” Dante shouted back from the distance. He shadowported back to the eight “I thought that going on an adventure would be more fun than just taking a fast travel route.” He shadowported back to where he left off.
Six days later, everypony was starting to worry. They thought that even though Dante wanted to adventure to his destination, that he would at least not waste his time back. The six ponies and Spike have been gathering around the castle entrance to wait for Dante’s arrival. Spike started to have a coughing fit. He was choking and gagging until a letter was coughed up. The six ponies rushed towards Spike (to see if he was okay) and the letter (to read what it said). In mixed fonts, it read
Come and get him
Everypony was panicking, except for Rarity, who was making sure that Spike was alright.
“What does it say” Spike asked. Twilight handed Spike the letter. After reading the letter, Spike then joined the ponies in their panic. “We have to go save him” he shouted.
Twilight held up a quill and paper and started writing. “I’ll inform Celestia about this.” She finished the letter, handed it to Spike, and Spike sent it to Celestia. “In the meantime, we need to track down Dante in order to save him from King Sombra. Spike, you stay here and wait for Celestia.”
“On it” Spike replied. The six ponies ran out of the castle and onward towards the path Dante took.
The Mane 6 has run through the path that began the treacherous quest. But they were stopped by a large gate blocking them from going any further. A mysterious stallion took form in front of the six and walked up to them.
“You six can’t enter here” he yelled “At least not without a fair fight.”
Rainbow Dash flew up to him. “Um, we don’t want to start anything, but have you seen a two-legged guy, about” she held her right hoof up “yay high, long mane, and probably kicked your butt which explains your black eye?”
The stallion then changed his facial expression to fear and shock, with his right eye, which was blackened by Dante, twitching. “You mare’s know him” he asked in fright.
Pinkie hopped up to him. “Yeah, how’d you know” she asked in joy.
“L-lucky guess” he moved aside swiftly “here, how about you girls g-go right ahead, no need for violence.” The gate opened up and the six nonchalantly passed on through. After the six passed through, the stallion began to remember the horrors that he had to deal with facing Dante, being attacked by that figure with red and black eyes and watching as he carried on like nothing happened.
The six continued onward. They kept walking through a dense forest until Fluttershy noticed a baby rat alone. She gasped at the sight of it and rushed over towards it.
“Oh you poor thing, where are your parents little guy” she asked in a worried tone.
Rarity gagged. “Darling” she started “why would you want to take care of” she tried to hold in some vomit “that thing?”
“Oh Rarity, he’s no thing. He’s a delicate little creature who lost his parents. That’s all.”
As the five were watching Fluttershy hold the baby rat, a giant rat jumped out of the bushes and ran after the six. They swiftly turned their attention to the giant beast after them. The baby rat in Fluttershy’s hooves and ran into the forest. The six screamed and then ran away from the rat chasing them. Then, two more giant rats appeared out of the woods and joined the first rat.

Both Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were flying next to each other while the other four were running on hoof. Twilight got off and flew by Fluttershy. “See what happens when you ‘take care’ of rats” Twilight asked in annoyance.
“I honestly didn’t expect that to happen” Fluttershy responded. They ran and flew out of the forest, escaping the rats as well.
The six continued some more. They found themselves in a cave.
“D-do, do we HAVE to go in there” Fluttershy asked with worry.
“It seems to be the only path to take” Applejack responded. “We’re gonna HAVE to travel through this cave if we’re gonna get Dante back.” They continued until they all heard grunting in the distance within the cave. They stopped to look around, but they couldn’t identify what was making those sounds, so they continued their journey.
“PONIES” they heard a loud voice from the distance, when four ogres walked out of the shadows. “EASIER THAN ELVES” the one in the front yelled. They also were beaten and bruised up.
“Wow” Pinkie shouted “Dante is REALLY really popular around here.”
“Yes” one of the other ogres responded “Very popular. Let’s see if YOU’RE popular to him.”
“Uh, yeah” Pinkie said “We’re totally close to him. We’re like family to him.”
“Pinkie” Twilight started “They want to take us prisoner.”
Pinkie pondered for a minute. “Oh, okay.”
Twilight turned her attention back to the ogres. “Sorry” she started “but even if you DID capture us, Dante wouldn’t be able to come back. He’s been captured.” She began to walk up to the ogres, now blocking their path “So if you don’t mind.” The front ogre raised his arm, holding a giant club, and slammed it down in front of Twilight, causing her to jump back in fright.
“Ponies make good prisoners still” the ogre said. The four walked up to the ponies slowly, thinking that they would corner the six in order to capture them. To their surprise, they failed when Twilight noticed that the ogres opened the path, giving her opportunity to teleport her and the others to the path. The ogres turned around to chase after them, but Twilight shot a beam of light at the ogres, causing them to freeze in place, giving the ponies the chance to get to a safe distance away from them. They safely got out of the cave and continued.
They were continuing on some more, when they were walking by a river, they noticed a figure sitting on a rock peeking out of the middle of river. The figure was cover with mostly blue fish scales with some shades of green here and there on the body. The figure noticed that the six were looking at it, and turned its attention toward them. “Can I help you” the figure asked.
“Oh, sorry” Rarity started “We’ve just, just.”
“Just never seen a merfolk before” The creature asked with a grin while standing up. “It’s fine, ponies and merfolk don’t know that much about each other.” The merfolk chuckled.
Twilight began “Well, have you seen a slightly tall, long-maned creature?”
“The elf with the red and black eyes” the merfolk asked. “Yeah, I guided him to that mountain over there.” He pointed to the mountain that was located a few miles away.
“Thank you so much” Rarity said in joy.
“Yeah, no prob” he responded “but I heard that one is dangerous. So you should be careful around that one if I were you girls. Hey, the trail is kind of tricky to track through, mind if I guide you through it?”
“I reckon” Applejack said in joy.
“Terrific” the merfolk shouted. He walked off his rock, through the shallow water of the river, and up to the six. “Let’s go” he said, walking in front of the six, with the six following.
About an hour later, they arrive at the entrance to the mountain trail.
“I will stop here. If I travel farther, the elevation will cause harm to me. But just follow this trail and it will lead you to your destination and your friend.”
“Thanks mister” Twilight said.
“Talrand” he interrupted “And you are very welcome.” He walked away, back to the river of where he met the ponies. The six looked at him walking, and then turned their attention to the path of which they would travel to get to Dante. They journey up the path, and finally reach the entrance of the cave.
Twilight pulled the map out and browsed it. “We’re here.” She put the map back and looked around “Now, to find Dante.” The six walked further into the cave. Fluttershy heard a rock fall from the ceiling, scaring her in the process. She looked around to see where that came from, when she notices a shadow-like figure standing in a pathway. The figure walked out of the pathway, revealing Dante.
“Girls” he shouted, catching their attention. They all ran after him in excitement that they found him and that he was alright, but when they were close to him, his eyes turned black and red and he formed an evil grin. They stopped running in fright, then Dante released an energy barrier, expanding out and knocking the six back. Dante walked forward, and then stopped when a shadow-like figure, in the shape of a pony, formed next to him. The shadows vanished, revealing King Sombra, sporting the same evil grin as Dante.
“Dante” Twilight shouted “what is going on? Why are you doing this and why are you with Sombra?”
“Well, you see Twilight” Dante began “A while ago before Celestia and Luna sent Sombra away, him and I made a deal. If one of us were to vanish, the remaining evil energy would go to the other, storing it and build it up until there was enough energy to revive the other.”
“But” Twilight began “what about the elements, I thought they’ve absorbed your evil energy.”
“This happened a month after Discord’s defeat” Dante replied “And now, since Sombra is back, we can both take Equestria and defeat Celestia and Luna ONCE AND FOR ALL” Dante yelled as he opened his hands and forming an energy orb between his hands and blasting it towards the six.

The energy blast struck the six, throwing them against the cave’s wall behind them. Rainbow Dash quickly regained her composure and flew after Dante, but Dante shadowported away, causing Rainbow to stop in confusion. She looked around while in the air to try to find where Dante went. He shadowported behind her, “Hello” he said before swinging his staff, hitting Rainbow Dash and knocking her out of the sky and on the ground.
Twilight got up and noticed the staff that Dante is wielding.
“Wait” she called out “Where did you get that staff? Where’s the staff Celestia gave you? And how were you able to use it when you were given it?”
“Well, since Celestia said that only those who are pure at heart can wield it, gave me the opportunity to manipulate it. I am pure. Pure evil, so what Celestia said wasn’t specific enough. And Twilight” he held the staff out so Twilight can see the black and red staff with a grinning unicorn with red eyes more clear “Look at the staff. I still have it. Sombra and I just made a few adjustments to it.” Dante began to move toward Twilight “And now, to defeat YOU Twilight.”
“Oh no you don’t” Applejack yelled. “You won’t get your, uh, whatever you call those things, on Twilight.”
“Yeah” Pinkie yelled “Keep your HANDS off of her.” The two leaped after Dante, but Dante held his staff in front of him and slammed the bottom end of it on the ground, causing an energy barrier, more powerful than the first one, to expand out, throwing the two across the cave room.
Just then, a sharp pain struck Dante’s back. He yelled in pain, and then turned around to notice Rarity running after him, blasting energy beams from her horn. Dante unleashed a barrier around him, absorbing each of the blasts. Rarity stopped in shock, and then Dante’s barrier vanished, revealing Dante with his arm extended, hand opened and an orb of energy being formed from the palm of his hand. Dante blasts the energy orb at Rarity, striking her, causing her to collapse, but not before being knocked a few feet back.
Twilight looked around to see her unconscious friends, and Fluttershy shuttering in fear against a wall. “Dante” she yelled in anger, and then flew after Dante to attack him.
“Well, it’s good to see you use your wings” Dante said with a grin “Too bad it will be your la” he was interrupted when Twilight vanished in the sky. Dante looked around to try to find where she went, when Twilight teleported behind Dante, judo kicking him in the back. Dante flew a few feet, and then fell to the ground. He got up, pointed the Pegasus medallion end of his staff at Twilight. A large energy orb formed around the medallion aimed at Twilight. Twilight stared at the orb in shock as it was shot at her. She snapped out of her trance and shot an energy beam out of her horn to push the orb back. Both Twilight and Dante stood there, fighting each other’s blasts. After about a minute, Twilight was getting weak trying to withstand Dante’s blast. Dante’s blast outstood Twilight’s, having the blast clash with Twilight, knocking her back and out.
Dante turned his attention to Fluttershy, weeping and shuttering against the wall. He walked slowly towards her. He finally got to her and kneeled down. “Don’t worry, dear Fluttershy. I’m not gonna hurt you.”
“Y-y-you’re not” she asked in fear.
“No, because the fear within you has already defeated you, so there is no use in trying to hurt you” he said with a cocky grin. Dante got up and turned his attention to Twilight, walking up to her as she was struggling to get up. He was now standing over Twilight with King Sombra now standing behind him.
“Good, Dante” he said with a grin “now, finish her.” Dante pointed the medallion of the staff at Twilight. Another orb was forming around the medallion, expected to finish off Twilight. Twilight looked at the orb, then into Dante’s eyes. She saw evil and hatred in his eyes. Dante noticed that she was looking into his eyes. Then, he noticed that a tear was flowing out of her eye and down her cheek. Dante felt a fist hitting at him, but not physically, but emotionally. Dante stopped the energy orb from forming and lowered his arm, pointing the medallion at the ground. “What” Sombra shouted. “What are you waiting for. FINISH HER!”
Dante paused for a moment as flashbacks started to fill his head within a split second. His eyes turned back to their original color. “No” he responded to Sombra, tightening his grip on the staff, snapping it in two pieces.
“What do you mean no” Sombra asked in anger “what about our deal? What about taking over Equestria?”
“Yeah, well, the deal’s off. I’ve hurt my friends, no, family enough. Actually more than enough” the four others started to wake up as Dante was talking to Sombra. Dante noticed this “Girls, I am deeply sorry for what I’ve done to you all. I don’t expect you to forgive me though, and I’m okay with that” he said as he lowered his head in sadness. Pinkie jumped at Dante, giving him a big hug. Dante returned the hug, then the rest of the ponies gathered around to hug Dante in forgiveness. Dante turned his attention back to Sombra as the six was finished “So, I won’t be taking over Equestria, but I will be stopping YOU!” Dante leaped towards Sombra, then shadowporting closer, punching Sombra in the face with enough force to knock him back, hitting a wall in the process.
Sombra got up, stared at Dante for a second, and then blasted an energy beam out of his horn at Dante, causing him to fly back and on his face. Sombra’s horn then was glowing, soon having his entire body glow in a dark red light. The form of Sombra’s body stood on his hind legs, only for the body to morph into a slimmer form, the forelegs and hind legs into elf arms and legs, and the head in the same shape as Dante’s, only the horn was the only thing that remained the same.
The light vanished, revealing Sombra in the new elf-like form, only Sombra remained his same skin tone and his armor morphed along with his body. Dante got up to see Sombra in his new form.
“You see, Dante” he asked “I am now more powerful than the four princesses AND you combined. But, I’m willing to give you one more chance. Either join me and I will forgive your assault, or you shall be defeated as well.”
Dante shadowported behind him, but failed to hit him. Instead Sombra saw it coming, turned around at the last second, and deflected Dante’s attack, knocking Dante down. Sombra walked toward the six ponies, then about half way, turned around and reached his hand out. His horn, including his entire arm and hand, were glowing red, with his arm aimed at Dante while he was on the ground. Sombra then blasted a torrent of energy at Dante. Dante was in agony from the blast. After a minute, Sombra stopped, leaving Dante to lie there in pain. The six ran up to Dante to aid him.
“Dante” Twilight started “Are you okay?”
Dante turned his attention to Twilight “No. He’s more powerful. This new form of his. Is. Too powerful. But I know how we can defeat him.”
“We” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Yes, we. I will fight him off.”
“But, you can’t” Twilight interrupted “You’re too weak, he will destro”
“Twilight, I will FIGHT him off while you six charge up your power. Use your elemental energy, fuse it with mine, and we can defeat him.” Dante got up on his feet “Go you guys, I’ll fight him while you do your thing.”
Sombra overheard that and chuckled “You honestly think you can fight me?” He held his hands up, summoning energy orbs in both hands.
“Yes, but to make this fair, how about you NOT use magic.”
“How about no” Sombra replied.
“Oh, so you’re a coward?”
“What does me using my magic have anything to do with me being a coward?”
“Well, I know you Sombra. I know you too well. You LOVE abusing your magic, whether it be to take over a kingdom, in a fight, checkers, so if you only use magic in THIS fight, which means that you are afraid that you cannot win a natural fight without it. Deeming you a coward.”
Sombra grunted in anger “Okay fine. You win, Dante.” Sombra charged after Dante as Dante did the same.
Return of Evil and A New Beginning
Both Sombra and Dante struck each other in the face, causing them both to fall back and land lying down. Dante arose before Sombra, giving him the opportunity to prepare for whatever Sombra was about to do. But to Dante’s disappointment, he just stood up.
“Well” Sombra started “that was a nice hit. But” Sombra held his right hand out with a large thin and long light forming above his palm, fading from the bright light, to a dark wood finish “let’s make this fight interesting.”
Dante grinned and looked toward Twilight, who, with the rest of them, was focusing energy for a final attack later on. The six ponies were standing still with their heads down surrounded by a light purple energy field with their bodies glow the color of their body color, but faded and bright.
“Hey Twilight, I need a staff.”
“I’m. A little. Busy here” she responded, now struggling with both focusing her magical energy and talking to Dante.
“Well, mine broke and I need one to kick the snot out of Sombrero here.”
Twilight sighed in annoyance. “Fine” she said. She walked out of the energy field. An aura formed around her horn, and then a staff appeared in front of Dante in the air. The staff fell, only for Dante to grab it. Dante turned to Sombra as Twilight moved back into the energy field.
Sombra ran after Dante, swung his staff, but was deflected by Dante’s staff. The shockwave from the deflection gave Dante the opportunity to strike Sombra, in which he successfully did. Sombra was knocked back, but regained his composure. Sombra ran after Dante again. Both Dante and Sombra exchanged blows from each of their staffs, each blow blocked and deflected with no damage dealt to one another. Sombra had enough of this, though. Dante struck Sombra, but Sombra deflected it. The shockwave threw Dante off balance. Sombra then kicked Dante away from him, and then jumped in the air, levitating off the ground a couple feet.
An aura started to form around Sombra. The aura grew brighter; with it Sombra began to form back to his pony self. The aura faded but still glowing. Sombra’s eyes were glowing completely red, with his horn glowing brighter than the aura surrounding him.
“Alright Dante” Twilight shouted “It’s ready. Point your staff at Sombra. I sense that he’s going to blast us as well, so we need to be quick with this.”
Dante nodded and pointed his staff toward Sombra and stuck the other hand out toward the six. The six blasted their concentrated energy toward Dante, the blast absorbing in his hand. Dante then fused his energy with the six’s, knowing that doing so would weaken him drastically, and then redirecting the blast toward Sombra. Before Sombra could use his energy attack, the blast from the six and Dante struck him. Sombra withstood the blow for about a minute before giving in to his fate. He vanished from the attack, whipping him off the face of Equestria.
The energy field around the six ponies faded. They looked around and only saw Dante standing there, facing the direction where Sombra once was, only to be left with not even remains of Sombra. The six cheered at the fact that they stood victorious. They were interrupted when they saw Dante fall onto his knees, and then fell down completely. Twilight smiled and rolled her eyes, thinking that Dante was just overreacting. She and the others walked to Dante.
“Okay, come on Dante” Twilight said sarcastically. Dante didn’t respond, causing the ponies to panic a little. “Dante, you can wake up now. This isn’t funny.”
“DANTE” Pinkie shouted “I have cake.”
“You do not have cake Pinkie” Rainbow responded.
Pinkie shushed Rainbow “I don’t have it on me” she whispered “silly.” They turned back to Dante. Twilight got closer to Dante and rested her fore hoof on his neck, and then began to shed tears. The others began to shed tears at the sight of Twilight, knowing what’s wrong.
“Is he? Is he?” Rarity asked, about to cry. Twilight turned her attention toward Rarity and nodded. The others began to cry, alongside Twilight.
Dante awoke, but when he opened his eyes, he looked around to see white, nothing else, but white. He stood up and looked around some more.
“Twilight” he called. “Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy, anypony?” He proceeded to walk around. He then noticed Celestia and Luna walking up to him. “Celestia, Luna” he said with joy. “I’m so glad that you girls are here. Where are we?”
“We are in the realm of the passing” Luna responded.
“Passing, you mean, I’m.”
“Yes Dante” Celestia interrupted “You are. And you are passing into the new world.”
“Wh-what is the new world?”
“Well, in your case, the realm to where Discord banished your elf tribe” Luna said.
“We’ve found where he banished them and it looks like a realm for you. There is a race of beings similar to elves, but very little differences.”
“So, I’ll be reunited with my tribe?”
“Sadly no” Celestia responded “But, you will be reborn with the descendant of your tribe. They have been dwelling in that realm for as long as you have been imprisoned in the pillar. The time where you will be reborn will be more futuristic than our time.”
“So, I finally get to live a normal life. Cool! Hey, while I’m chillin in this ‘new world,’ will you two visit me?” The two started to walk away from Dante, but in his path and passed him.
“Well, if we do, it won’t be in our pony bodies. You won’t even know that it’s us.”
Luna turned toward Dante and walked up to him. “Besides Dante” she started before kissing him on the cheek “you owe me a rematch.” She winked at Dante and caught up with her sister walking away. Dante blushed, stared at the two, and then turned around to walk away. Dante vanished in the distance, teleporting him to this new world.
Later, the Mane Six, Spike, Shining Armor, Cadence, and the rest of the royal guard gathered around a tombstone with Dante’s face on it. On the tombstone, it said “R.I.P. Dante, Captain of the Royal Guard and protector of the thrown.” Each of the ponies gathered around were crying, except for Celestia and Luna who were giving the eulogies.
Return of Evil and A New Beginning
They walked up to the entrance to the castle. “We’re here” Celestia said “Now; I will go in alone while you stay at the end of the throne room entrance until I say so.”
“Well, you need to give me a specific word. Because I want to surprise him.”
“How about after I say that he won’t take my throne.”
“Sounds great.”
Celestia entered the cave with Dante followed her. She walked into the room to see Discord with Chrysalis standing around the broken pieces of the Elements of Harmony. “Ah Celestia, I’ve been expecting you” Discord said “Now, are you ready to give up your throne or do I have to hurt some more of your precious subjects?”
“You will never take my throne, Discord” Celestia exclaimed.
Discord giggled “I love how you don’t get that I am and will be better than you.”
“Cool story bro” Dante yelled before shadowporting below Discord, upper cutting him in the air then grabbed him by the ankle and threw him to the ground.
Discord got up. “No, no not you again” Discord exclaimed.
“Yes, I have been freed by Celestia to fight you again.” Dante shadowported behind Discord punched him in the back of the head, then shadowported in front of him and punched him in the face. Discord fell on his back and Dante shadowported above him and landed on top of him feet first. “As you can tell, I haven’t changed since the last time I’ve fought you.” Discord got up with a grin on his face. “Go, attack my minions” Discord yelled. Seven changelings appear in front of Dante and were ready to attack.
Dante grabbed his staff and swung up, hitting one of the changelings in the groin. Then, he shadowported behind the changeling and struck it in the back with one of the ends of the staff with enough force to launch the changeling across the room. Two more ran after Dante, but he kicked both of them in the face one at a time. He punched one of them in the face and elbowed the other in the face. The remaining four tackle Dante. Dante dropped his staff and it rolls to Discord. Discord picked it up and broke it in half.
“No” Dante yells “My staff.” Dante broke free from the changelings and took out his sword. One of the changelings ran into Dante. Dante dropped his sword before another changeling ran up and grabbed it with its magic. The changeling gave it to Chrysalis. Chrysalis took it and broke it. “Now, you won’t hurt my minions or my love” the changeling queen said. Dante ran after Discord and started to swing punches at him, but Discord dodges all of them. “Nice try” Discord said “But you are too weak to defeat me. You might have done it before, but this is the new Discord.” Discord kneed Dante in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Discord walked up to Dante while he’s on the ground and picked Dante up by his shirt. “You do realize that you’re not the great fighter you use to be” Discord said. “I am now more powerful than you in every way. Now is the time where you give up.”
Discord threw Dante across the room. Dante got knocked into a wall and fell down. “Your foolish resistance will finally come to an end, Dante. Just give up now and this will all be over. You can go back in your prison where you once were and I will have my rule.” Dante got up and looked at Discord with a grin on his face. “Well, the thing is that I haven’t given up yet.” Dante walked up to Discord and looked up to him “You will not rule this land” he said before punching him in the stomach, kicking him in the face, and then kicking him in the chest. Discord threw four punches at Dante, but he swept them away, then blocked a head-high kick, dodged a right hook, and uppercuts Discord in the air and he fell to the ground. Discord got up, charged after Dante, and threw a punch, but Dante grabbed his fist, twisted his arm, and kicked him away.
Discord ran up to Dante and right hooked him in the face to where Dante spun one hundred and eighty degrees. Discord got behind Dante and puts him in a choke hold, but mistakenly left one arm free, so Dante took that arm, wrapped it around Discord by the back of his neck, and flipped him over his shoulder. Dante was then surrounded by the four changelings and Chrysalis. Discord got up and joined in on surrounding Dante. Suddenly, a bright light covered Celestia’s body. She let out a field of magic that turned everyone except Celestia into stone. “It’s over” she said “It’s finally over. We are now free from chaos and evil once and for all.”
“Whoa, what was that?” Dante asked. “I was just standing here and the next thing I know, I get blinded by some bright light.”
Celestia was left with a confused look on her face as she was watching Dante walk around and talking. “Wait” she said “How haven’t you turned to stone?”
Dante paused for a moment to think about what Celestia has just said. “What is that supposed to mean?” Dante asked in anger.
“My spell was supposed to turn impure beings into stone.”
“Oh, so you were going to turn me into stone after I have helped you?”
“I’m sorry Dante, but it had to be done.”
“Well Celestia” shadows were starting to surround Dante “If you haven’t noticed, I am pure. Pure evil. And now with my new found freedom, I can now take ove” Dante paused as the shadows surrounding Dante start to vanish. “What’s wrong, Dante?” Celestia asked in confusion. Dante looked at the broken pieces of the Elements of Harmony with a surprised look on his face. “The elements. It’s like they, they are calling me” he said in astonishment. Dante walked up to the element pieces and kneeled down.
He picked up the pieces of the elements. Just then, Dante developed a weird feeling throughout his body. After that, black shadows were transporting to the elements through his arms. "What, what is happening? My shadows, they're being absorbed." Dante cried out. The elements absorb Dante's evil shadows, therefore, absorbing his evil. After they've absorbed his evil, a huge explosion has occurred, pushing Celestia, who was watching the whole time, back a couple feet and destroyed the stone statues of Discord, Chrysalis, and the changeling minions who were in the cave with them.
