How Fluttershy Lost her Friends: Rainbow Dash
Fluttershy was tending to her animals one afternoon in her cottage in Ponyville. she was feeding the birds when there was a knock at the door. Fluttershy wasn't expecting anyone to be visiting so she jumped at the sound. She slowly grew out of her panicky state and walked over to the door to see who was at her home. Fluttershy opened the door to see a familiar light blue and rainbow maned pegasus. " Hey Flutters," Rainbow Dash said with enthusiasm. " Are you free for a couple of hours?"
"I will be once I'm done taking care of my animals. Why? What did you need me for?" She said in her nice kind voice.
"It's nothing big i just needed someone to rate my performances. I've been working on a couple of new tricks, and I want to know how good they are before I show them off at my Wonderbolts flight show next Saturday" Rainbow Dash said.
" Sure I would love to come and watch you practice." Fluttershy was wondering why Rainbow Dash always asked her to watch her and give her feedback. Of course she was going to like it, she was the Element of Kindness and never upsetted her friends. "Could you give me a few minutes though, I need to finish up with my animals?"
"Of course. Meet me in the center of town and we can walk over to my practice area together." With that the blue pegasus flew off. Fluttershy watched her until she was out of sight. She then proceeded to shut the door and get back to her animals. She hurriedly fed the rest of the animals and gave them their baths and laid them to rest. All of the animals except Angel were going to sleep. He seemed to be really hyper for the time of day it is. He usually takes his naps around this time. Fluttershy decided to take Angel with her if he wasn't going to sleep. As she left she put on a sweater and her saddle bags. As she was leaving she read the clock, which stated 8:00 p.m. "It would be cool to see a Sonic Rainboom this late." Fluttershy was going to stop at Sugar Cube Corner to get a few snacks to eat while watching Rainbow Dash.
It was dark outside as she walked into town. Although for the time of day she saw many recognizable faces out and about. She saw Lyra and BonBon walking over to market. She also saw Thunderlane flying in the night clouds. Fluttershy finally made it to Sugar Cube Corner, where Pinkie Pie and the Cake family lives. When she opened the door she was instantly knocked to the floor by somepony. Angel fell out of the saddle bag. Pound Cake ,which is Mrs. and Mr. Cakes pegasus son, had knocked Fluttershy over. " Sorry Fluttershy." Pound said in a somewhat loud voice. " My sibling is chasing me around wanting my fake bitts, it's a game." After he helped Fluttershy back up he darted out the door, and right after that his sister came running through yelling "GET BACK HERE!". It had been ten years since they were born, so they had grown a little. Fluttershy walked over to the counter to get some snacks. She was greeted by a pink party pony. " Hey Fluttershy what are you doing here so late?"
"Oh nothing big Pinkie. I just wanted a couple of carrot cake cupcakes please." Pinkie served up two cupcakes one with an actual carrot in it which was obviously for Angel. " Thanks Pinkie," Fluttershy said, handing her friend three bitts to pay for the cupcakes. " You know how long Rainbow Dash's performances are, I just wanted a little snack while watching."
"Okie Dokie Loki. Have fun!"
Fluttershy exited the shop and started for the center of town where she would meet Rainbow Dash. She walked through town and saw the the clock on a light post. It was 8:35. It wasn't taking her as long , but she knew Rainbow Dash wasn't very patient. Fluttershy flew the rest of the way. She showed up in the center. she didn't see Rainbow Dash anywhere. BOOM! The sound came from above her. Fluttershy looked up to see a fully lit up Rainbow Spectra. "It looks way cooler at night." As she was admiring the sight; Rainbow Dash landed full speed on the ground, but still landing safely and awesome.
"Are you ready Flutters?"
"Ready."
They walked to the edge of the Everfree forest to where Rainbow Dash liked to practice. Fluttershy and Angel laid down a blanket and some pillows they brought. Rainbow Dash was stretching. Fluttershy got the cupcakes for her and Angel and sat back to wait for Rainbow Dash to start.
"Okay, here goes!"
Rainbow Dash then took off full speed from where she was standing. She flew upwards quite a while, to where she was still in sight but had distance between her and the ground. Fluttershy watched amazed as she performed rolls and dips and flips of many variations and combos. It was time for Rainbow Dash's finale.
"I call this the Curly Rainbow!" Rainbow Dash yelled out to Fluttershy. Fluttershy gave a hoof up for approval still trying to swallow her cupcake. Rainbow Dash performed her sonic Rainboom again for the second time this evening. After the boom she flew in circles creating a curly rainbow that flowed from her mane.
"Woooh!" Fluttershy yelled as loud as she could. Just like the first time she had actually seen Rainbow Dash perform the Rainboom. " That's incredible!"
Fluttershy watched the stream of colors as it descended downwards still curling. Fluttershy's amazed look became sadness in seconds. Her friend was uncontrollably diving towards the ground. Fluttershy darted off faster than she'd ever flown to catch her friend. But she couldn't the speed of Rainbow Dash descent was to fast. Rainbow Dash yelled for help from her friend, but it was to late. Fluttershy wasn't a fast flyer even if she was flying her hardest. Fluttershy quickly flew over to where Rainbow Dash had landed. When she arrived she saw nothing but a unconscious Rainbow Dash and puddles of blood. Fluttershy called Applejack with her phone.
" Ugh..... What is it Shy I'm trying to sleep?"
"It's Rainbow Dash she's been hurt. Come quick!"
Wait..... what *yawn* are you............"
"HURRY!!"
Call end.
Fluttershy examined Rainbow Dash's body. This time she noticed she had several fractured and broken bones. She had one on her knee, in her back, her head, everywhere. It was a horrid site. About four of those bones she had broken were sticking out of her body, just gushing blood.
"Angel hurry and go fetch our blanket so we can bundle her up." Fluttershy said. Angel had been standing there the whole time observing the blue Pegasuses bloody state. Not understanding what he was looking at, but understanding what Fluttershy had just told him, he went to go get the blanket.
"Angel?" Angel was at the spot where Fluttershy and him had laid to watch Rainbow Dash when he heard his name. He looked up to see a orange cowpony and a white pony with a red cross for a cutie mark.
"Angel," the cowpony, named Applejack, said. " Take us Rainbow and Fluttershy. I'm missin some good shuteye over all this."
Angel picked up the blanket and led the two ponies to where the incident occurred. As they approached the site they saw Fluttershy crying and carrying Rainbow Dash towards town.
" STOP!" the nurse looking mare called out. " She looks badly injured. Put her down she is losing blood!" Fluttershy dropped the mare she was carrying to the ground. The nurse said something in to her mic and ran quickly over to the injured pony.
" It was all my fault." Fluttershy fell to the ground and started crying heavily. " I wasn't fast enough to save her. She fell straight to the ground at full speed, and i just wasn't fast enough."
Applejack was next to Fluttershy at the moment and so was Angel. " It's ain't your fault sugarcube," The cowpony said trying to comfort Fluttershy's nerves. " We all know how fast Rainbow Dash flies, you couldn't of caught her anyway."
This just made Fluttershy cry even more. Applejack leaned down and gave Fluttershy a hug repeating the words " It wasn't yer fault sugar."
A paramedic showed up in about a minute or two and they carried Rainbow Dash off to the hospital. Applejack and Fluttershy took Angel home and went to the hospital that Rainbow Dash was at to check on her. As they entered they were immediately told to go to room 105C to see Rainbow Dash. They rushed on up to 105C. They entered the room to see Rainbow Dash's body on a body tray, with a little bit of bandaging.
" Is she doing okay doc?" Applejack was first to speak. The doctor put a blanket above Rainbow Dash's head. Two nurses wheeled her body out of the room, and left the doctor and the two friends in the room alone. The room was silent. After a minute or so Fluttershy began to sob.
" She has passed on." the doctor finally said. " She was falling at more 90 miles per hour. With such a speed and so little distance from the ground, when she spun out of control she couldn't regain control in time to stop herself from going face first into the hard ground. She had eighty-seven broken bones. The bone that got it worse was in her neck and that was the cause of her death. If that isn't the case then it was also she had lost to much blood. I'm sorry girls, but there was nothing we could do. Rainbow Dash was dead before she got here." The doctor left the room with both friends crying. Mostly Fluttershy was crying the most. She knew she could of stopped it all from happening. Only if she was quicker. They heard a familiar voice in the hallway.
"Where are Applejack and Fluttershy?" The voice was Twilight's. She entered the room to see both ponies sitting crying together. they got up and gave their princess friend a hug.
" I had sensed something happened to our friend Rainbow Dash. I guess my senses were right?" A single tear shed from Twilight's eyes and down her cheek. Both Fluttershy and Applejack nodded their heads to confirm a yes. The look in both their eyes also said that she had died. " I wish there was something I could do, Rainbow Dash was never supposed to die at this young age!" Twilight began to sob alot like Fluttershy.
" Don't you have some kind of spell that could heal her?" Fluttershy asked hoping for a yes.
" There is no spell or anything to bring back the dead. I'm sorry Fluttershy and Applejack but our friend is gone."

Don't you hate it when you write so much and forget to save, and your computer is just like " O its time to mess with this guy since he didn't save his work" *freeze* or *shut down*. That happened to me many times while writing this. anyways, Thanks for reading please give me some feedback this is my first time writing a story outside of school. I have many great ideas for the next story. Spoiler (Rarity is gonna die). If this gets a bunch of dislikes or some-sin I'm not going to bother writing another one.
