I'd been walking down the street, coming home from work. I knew my wife would have a nice, hot meal for me when I came home. She was an excellent cook. But, for now, unsuspected rain soaked my clothes.

Usually, I wouldn't have paid it any mind. Just a big box on the side of the sidewalk. But, they don't usually say, 'Give to good home'. I tried to forget it, but I just couldn't. I live creature could be scared and alone. I turned around, and returned to the box.

When I opened the box, I was greeted by an adorable sight. A baby toy Applejack. It was so cute. I stared at it in awe. Why would anyone throw this away? It had a hat and everything. Then I noticed it. It was breathing. It was alive. I quickly snatched the foal up. I was taking this little foal back. She needed somebody to take care of her.

"David, what happened? You were so late, I was worried." Claire said when I arrived home.

"Claire, you won't believe what I found." I said as I took off my jacket. I presented the little foal to her.

      "Is that...?"

      "It is."

Claire took the foal in her arms. "She's adorable. We can't leave her, can we?"

"But where would we-" I tried.

"Honey, we have extra room. I'm sure we could Applejack here our own version of the Apple family." she snuggled the filly.

"Well, I'll go get some things for her tomorrow." I said.

"Who's a precious little filly?" Claire said to Applejack, "You are!" She tickled the filly, causing a spirit raising giggle to surround us. Nobody couldn't smile at that.

"Welcome home, Applejack." I told her, "You have an amazing family now."
