“Episode 1: The Beginning of a New Story”

Somewhere, deep in space, a baby was born. But he wasn’t, in a word, normal. No, he was indeed something else entirely, for he was born from the energy of Saiyans with good hearts. He had black spiky hair with two bangs forming an upside down “V”, and he had the tail of a wolf. He floated there, breathing, even though there was no oxygen.

And as he floated there among the rubble of what once was a planet, a tall, slender, being slowly moved towards him. It had equine features such as a coat, which was purple, and a mane and tail, which were blue and ethereal. It was anthropomorphic, and it appeared to have feminine features as well. It also had a pair of wings on its back and a long horn protruding from its forehead, which were the same color as its coat. But her most fascinating feature, were her eyes, one of which was pink and the other yellow. She wore a white robe, emerald bands around its upper arm, and emerald boots.

She slowly closed the distance between her and the baby, and when she finally stood by him, she held him in her arms, her soft coat acting as a comforter. The baby’s eyes opened slowly, revealing black irises. He looked up at her and smiled, cooing softly. Her horn glowed blue, and in an instant, the baby was wrapped in a blue blanket.

“Rest little one. Rest so you can dream.” She said with a soft voice. “You’ve a long journey ahead of you, and for your journey to begin, you must first dream.”

It took only a minute for him to fall asleep, and when he did, she spoke. But even as she spoke, the baby’s sleep was never disturbed, but he could still hear her.

“Dream of love – dream of friends and family. Dream of life – dream of plants and animals. Dream of honesty, loyalty, generosity, kindness, and laughter! Dream of courage and hope... but most importantly, dream of magic.” She said with a great passion. The baby dreamt of all those things, which eventually lead him to dream of a world with unmatchable beauty. “You see, that is where you belong. Equestria is where you belong.”

She turned around, and in front of her was a large platform made of marble and shaped like a hexagon. And carved into the center, were seven stars with a serpentine-like dragon forming a circle around them. And at the end of the platform was a white arch made of marble, and a black door with a silver knob.

She stepped onto the platform, and the carving in the center glowed gold. The dragon came to life just then, and began to circle the stars. Smiling, she stopped in front of the door and turned the knob. Walking through it, they were no longer in space, but were in a forest.

She walked onward, the now awake baby looking only up at the night sky, falling in love with the stars. It was cloudy, so he did not see the moon. But, he was fascinated with the clouds, staring up at them in awe, softly cooing. The one carrying him noticed this and, starring into his eyes, saw the reflection of the clouds.

“You sure are fascinated with the clouds, aren’t you?” She said, nuzzling his cheek. Looking back up at the clouds, she saw the moon, and covered his eyes. Using magic, she moved the clouds so that they’d cover the moon. Once that was done, she decided to have fun, and transformed a cloud into a puppy. She then uncovered his eyes and he stared once again at the sky. When he noticed the cloud shaped like a puppy, he began to giggle and speak gibberish. Looking back at him, she spoke.

“I think I found the perfect name for you… Cloud.” She said, the baby looking at her. “You like it don’t you? Then it’s settled. You’re name will be Cloud. What a nice name, for a handsome boy, too.”

Cloud began to smile. He liked the name.

“Welcome home, Cloud.”
