Hi my name is Fireshock. I'm an elemental unicorn. My coat is light blue, my mane is white and my eyes are green. And this is the story of my life.

The first thing I can remember was that I woke up in the Everfree forest. I had this feeling that I had to go somewhere but I didn't know where. As a matter of fact I didn't know anything. I sat down for a moment ignoring the feeling and tried to figure out stuff.

After thinking a while I found out that what I wanted to go to was called a "school" (don't ask me why, it was just a random feeling) I don't how I knew those words, or why they were jumbled, or how I managed to get it all together but somehow I did. I also thought of names, I knew that I should have one but I didn't know why, or what. After a while I deemed it important enough and had chosen the name Fireshock. I liked fire and lightning and therefore chose Fireshock. I got up and went to a town called Ponyville. The school wasn't hard to find. However it was closed. I later found out it was Saturday.

So I walked around in the town without a goal, just aimless wandering. No one noticed a blue unicorn colt appearing from nowhere, and I didn't care. When I went back to my hollowed out tree (where I woke up) a thunderstorm had come to Ponyville and the Everfree.

Lightning struck towards me and adrenaline slowed time.

A warm feeling in my horn comes, as if there's electricity in it.

I think to myself.

"Sh*t, I got hit by lightning, am I gonna die now?"

Somehow, I see the lightning turn midair and hit the ground a few metres away.

I didn't know what to say or do. What just happened. How... what...why. I looked over myself too see if anything weird happened.

It had.

A mark of some sort had appeared on my flank. Two lightnings.

I didn't know what that was and just assumed that it symbolized that I had feelings (Mind you I was like an empty shell before, I didn't care at all about anything).

Now I know that it symbolises special talents, mine is lightning, fire, water, air and earth. Only lightning showed up as that was what I was best at.

The next day passed by just like the other one (except for the storm part) and I just walked around town nothing happened, a white unicorn was being dragged somewhere by her horn, you know, normal stuff.

The day after that something actually happened though.

I went to the school and it was open,[insert gasp here] so I went inside and then out on the backyard.

I saw a white filly with a light pink mane. She looked sad. But she didn't have a cutie-mark and I thought they marked that you had emotions so I went up to her and asked her.

"Hi do you not have any emotions?" I asked nicely.

"Go away" She replied sounding annoyed.

"Why?" I asked obliviosly.

"I don't want you to be tease to me." She replied still annoyed.

"But, I'm not." I replied not knowing why she reacted like this.

"Uh-hu and what do you call "Do you not have any emotions?" She asked matter-of-factly.

"A question." I answered still not knowing sh*t.

"*sigh + facehoof* For your information I have emotions." She answered like I was stupid. In her defence I kinda was.

"But you don't have the mark that symbolizes that." I said.

"What mark?" She wondered. Now who's the one not knowing, huh, HUH.

"The mark on your flank." I replied.

"That's called a cutie-mark silly," she chuckled. Mood switches, I don't know why she just had one. "It symbolizes your special talent."

"So you're talentless?" I asked.

"No, I just haven't discovered my special talent yet." She answered.

"Okay." I said, nodding my head in understanding.

"But anyway, what are you doing here? You look like you're three." She wondered.

"Maybe I am three. I don't really know." I said now looking a bit sad. "But what does that have to do with me not being supposed to be here?"

"Because three-year-olds don't go to school." She answered me.

"Why not?" I asked.

"They're too young." She replied.

"Uh-hu"

"Just out of curiosity, where do you live?" She wondered.

"In a hollowed out tree in the middle of that forest over there." I answered pointing towards the Everfree forest.

"*gasp* The Everfree forest?" She asked. Now looking a bit pale.

"Is that what it is called?" I wondered.

"Yes it is a really dangerous forest filled to the brim with dangerous animals." She said sounding scared.

"Whoa, but I haven't met any scary animals though." I answered.

"You must be lucky then. But you can't continue to live there though." She said and started to think for a while. "I know, let's ask my parents if you can live with us." She said.

"Okay." I answered.

*The bell rings*

"After school." She said. " Can you wait outside?"

"Sure." I said.

After school we went towards her house.

"Oh I don't think you've said your name." She asked me.

"Fireshock." I replied.

"Okay then." She said.

"What's your name?" I wondered realizing she hadn't told me mine.

"Snowcone." She answered.

"Okay." I said.

We arrived at a unusally normal house.

"Hi mum, hi dad." Snowcone yelled.

"Hello Snowy." Her mom replied.

There's this young colt that I met in school who doesn't have anywhere to live and I wondered if he could live with us?" Icecone asked her mum and dad.

"Sweet Celestia NOWHERE TO LIVE?" Her mom yelled out. "We must alert the police in case anyone is looking for him. In the meantime, yes he can stay with us." Her mother replied.

But no one was looking for me. So this became my family for the rest of my life.

The next day Icecone came home super happy. She had got her cutie-mark! The class had gone around town seeing different ponies with different jobs so that the foals may get their cutie-mark. This included a pony selling ice-cream.

They got to try to sell some and Snowy did the best.

It was her special talent after all.

That meant free ice cream. YEAH!
