Hey, I'm Faded Star.
This is the story of how I became a superhero. It's wasn't very exciting at first. But, you'll find that I've had some pretty cool endeavors on this journey of mine. So, without further ado... Here's my story by the writing talent of... Well, me.
"I'm just saying that she does have a great plot, bro!"
"You're crazy. I would've noticed."
"I'm serious, look!" I was talking to my friend, Featherweight. He's one of my only friends, really. Besides my grandparents, or the occasional aunt or uncle, he's the only one that I have around me. I obviously wasn't popular in school, or I wouldn't be a superhero, isn't that how it usually goes? And, yes my parents are dead, just like the stereotypical hero, right? Well they passed away from cancer from before I can even remember.
"Wow... I should've believed you." Featherweight replied just as Crescent Cherry, the mare we were referring to was turning around. She gave him an annoyed look but, she wasn't angry, she was probably used to colts staring at her. This was only our first day in high school, but we could already tell she was the queen bee in this hive. This was a big thing we talked about back in the day.
"Smooth move, lady-killer!" I mocked my friend because he was practically drooling. Even I wasn't THAT drawn to her. Different hormones are different, I guess.
Now I bet you're thinking that Crescent Cherry and I are going to end up together in the end, right? Wrong. I guess you didn't realize that this isn't a comic book yet, did you? Not like I can blame you, though. This is pretty far fetched isn't it? Well it is true.
Anyway, this took place when I was just coming home from school, and we happened to be passing by her house.
"Well, you got her in the bag, slick." I made fun of my friend again. He didn't mind. He did too much of that to me for him to complain.
"Yeah, definitely." He gave a sarcastic mock of himself.
Since Featherweight and I lived right next to each other, we always walked home together. Lucky for me, I got to go over to his house instead of my own, after school. My grandparents are so obnoxious with the "how was your day?" type questions. I can only imagine what they would ask after my first day of high school.
"So... To your house, right?"
"Right."
We were coming up on our street, and thank Celestia that my grandparents weren't looking through the windows. I thought for sure they'd be really eager to quiz me on my school day. But, thankfully we arrive his home, free of questioning.
"Ladies first." Featherweight said.
"Thank you, kind gentleman." I decide to humor his joke, as I enter his home. He was the only resident of his home, do to him having a fight with his parents, and his photography job being able to pay for the bills and necessities of life.
