//-------------------------------------------------------// The adventures of Sweetie -by Groupiegatalo- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A new day //-------------------------------------------------------// A new day Sweetie starts to wake up. It was like waking from a dream into a nightmare. She didn't want to remember but the thoughts came on their own. She clutches her head remembering seeing her sister dead. He parents had come back and checked on Sweetie and when they found her she had completely lost it. they figured the only way to help her was to take her away from Ponyville. They couldn't take her with them as they traveled around the world so they sent her off to a nice home in Vanhoover where she would be staying with a caretaker of a second home. Sweetie didn't like the idea. She persisted that Rarity would wake up but... she wonders if she was trying to fool them or fool herself. Sweetie Belle sits up and looks around. She is sitting up in a bed in a unknown home. The room has pictures of different type of colt bands on them. She saw one she liked very much but didn't let her friends know because they didn't have the same tastes as her. "Hey you must be the new girl!" A voice calls out that seemed far away. Her consciousness hits her like a brick wall as she sits up in the comfortable bed and looks to her right to see a purple earth pony wearing a backward hat with a smiley face on that side. Sweetie wanted to say hey back but no matter what her words felt like they were getting pushed back down. She couldn't quite explain the feeling but she gave it a name anyway. Fear. "Oh I'm sorry you must be pretty nervous am I right? Waking up in a new enviroment and all." Sweetie nods her head and looks around the room. Above her is another bed and the walls are all painted pink with an array of flowers. There is a window in the middle of the room, another bunk bed on the other side of the room, and a door opposite of the window. "Well let me be the first to welcome you to Vanhoover's orphanage of the unfortunate!" The purple mare stands on her hind legs and spreads her arms out big. Sweetie belle really couldn't understand everything that was happening. She didn't want to be here. More than anything she wanted her friends back. But she knew no matter how much screaming and kicking she put up they would never let her go back. "Th...Thanks..." Sweetie manages to say through a hoarse voice. She didn't realize just how dry her throat was. "Alright! Let me go get you some Apple juice that soothe your voice!" The filly walks out of the room closing the door behind her leaving Sweetie to herself. She stare at her hooves and shake her head. She didn't want to be here. She didn't belong here. She belong in Ponyville with Pinkie, Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, Scootaloo, Applebloom, and Cherilee. She especially wanted to be with... She couldn't even manage to think of her sister without bringing tears to her eyes. She wanted to leave this place and go back home. "I'm back!" The purple one says caring a juice box on her head. "Thank..." Sweetie says taking the juice and drinking it slowly. The purple mare sits beside her and asks, "Why are you crying?" Sweetie shakes her head and says, "Its... its nothing..." "Ah! So you are up Sweetie Belle!" Sweetie looks to see a well aged Stallion walking into the room. He was a pegasus with a cutie mark of a  house with a smiley face. His coat was a sea foam blue and his main was yellow with streaks of red in it. "I see you already met one of your roommates Gallie! I really do hope you enjoy your stay here and we wish you good luck when you get adopted!" Sweetie didn't want to get adopted. No matter what she would make sure she wouldn't get adopted. She would wait for her parents to come back to get her or maybe Applebloom could get Applejack to adopt her! She would love that option more than anything. Applejack was always a better sister than Rarity but Rarity always had her moments. "I'm your caretaker Homer and I really hope that you and me can get along as well as with everpony else!" "I'll try." Sweetie says giving a small smile. The caretaker nods his head and leaves the room. "I'm sure you'll love it here Sweetie you just need to get used to it." Sweetie shakes her head. "I just want to go home..." //-------------------------------------------------------// Orphanage //-------------------------------------------------------// Orphanage After the meeting of one of her roommates and the meeting of the care  taker Sweetie still felt tired. Especially because of the tantrum she threw before reaching here could have something to do with it as well.  She woke up the next day by the energetic pony she named Gallie. "Come on Sweetie Belle time to get up! We got to go down to breakfast to introduce you to everypony else! Sweetie groans and rolls over to her side. "Well okay than sweetie Belle you asked for it!" Gallie says followed by a few snikers. What's the worst they can.!!! Her thoughts are interrupted as a millions cold things rush down her side, front, and back. She rolls out of bed screaming and lands on her back to three smiling faces. "Looks like that work her up!" The on to the farthest right says laughing. "Sure did! Sorry Sweetie Belle its how we've become accustomed to waking each other up when we don't want to." Gallie says sheepishly. "Its fine. I needed the wake up call." She says remembering her dreams. "Well before anything else let me introduce you to the gang!" She motions to the light green unicorn making her bed who has the funny curled hair, "That's Mayflower and this." She throws her arm around the pony on her left that is also a earth mare who is brown with a long braided hair, " Is Maple! She is truly like the syrup because wants you become friends with her she'll stick to you like it does!" Maple hugs her friend blushing lightly and waves at Sweetie now getting up. "Well good morning to you all than." She says in a somewhat dead pan voice. No matter how much they tried to cheer her up by acting like this she still couldn't get rid of the feeling of wanting to leave here and return home no matter what. "Alright enough chitchat lets eat!" Maple says rushing towards the door. "Right behind you!" Gallie says. The two run out the door leaving Sweetie and Mayflower alone. "Don't worry Sweetie Belle you'll get used to how active they are soon. They use some extreme measures sometimes but they're good to be around. You feeling hungry?" "Yea... I haven't eaten for while." "Alright follow me." She says walking out the door motioning for Sweetie to follow. Sweetie follows behind the mare down several flights of stairs into a long fouler room. Two doors stand proudly as the entrance way. The two turn right into a pair of doors that lead to a giant dinning room filled with different ponies of species, gender, and age. "There sure are a lot of ponies..." Sweetie says looking around the room as the two make their way to the lunch line. "Yea this place holds a lot of people mostly cause this used to be a school." "Okay..." The food was a bunch of variety from all different type of fruits, breads, and exotic varieties. She takes an apple and a bit of a salad with her and sits where Gallie and Maple are waiting for them. "Its about time you got here!" Gallie says giggling. Every body at the table had something different to eat. Maple has hay pancakes, Gallie with peaches, and Mayflower with a flower sandwich. "So where do you come from?" Gallie asks. "I came from Ponyville." Sweetie Belle says taking a bite into her apple. "Ponyville! But that place is awesome! Why would you ever want to leave?" Maple asks while eating her pancakes. Sweetie tenses a bit. "I didn't want to leave I was just... suggested to... I was told it would be better for me if I did..." Sweetie says being secretive. "I don't see why they would suggest such a stupid things... But I guess it doesn't matter since we're all together as a group! We'll just call it fate!" Maple says "Yea!" Gallie says  finishing her food before anyone else. As the rest of the breakfast drew on Sweetie learned a lot about the three females. Gallie really loved to help people out no matter what. She wasn't selfish or stock up. Maple was more of a tom girl than Sweetie expected her to be. Most of her past was all about fighting and how nopony would get anywhere without it. Mayflower's past was about how she always wanted to be more different than anypony else. Sweetie couldn't blame her. If everyone was the same things would just be boring. When it came down to her sharing her past Sweetie passed telling them she didn't really have much to say. "Come on Sweetie Belle!" Gallie begged. "Yea you have to tell us! We'll become even better new friends if you tell us. I don't need new ones I just need my old ones. "Look girls I really can't. Its too depressing..." The three girls look at each other and nod. "Sorry Sweetie Belle... We won't prod anymore." Mayflower says speaking for the three. Sweetie nods her head and thanks them. After breakfast came the tour of the building. To the right of the lunchroom was the garden not too far across the field from the school. Up the first flight of stairs was where most of the younger fillies stay. This is also the floor where teachers came to teach them all sorts of things. Above that is where most of the teachers sleep as well as most of the toys stay within their allocated rooms like the music room, art room, theater room, etc. Above that is where the girls sleep as well as where the costumes are kept. The orphanage is a free roaming place just as long as you obey the rules. The four eventually end up out back at the play ground where not too many where close to three in the evening. Gallie and Maple take the swings and Sweetie sits under a nearby tree with Mayflower. The three talk about what they're looking forward too and ask what Sweetie would be interested in. Sweetie listens and and says nothing. She looks at the orphanage building over. They all look so happy. They seem to have no care in the world because this is the life they're used to. For Sweetie it's different. She feels no happiness from this orphanage. As it looms over them all she feels is nothing but depression and suffering. She felt as if nothing would change. Until she got back.
