//-------------------------------------------------------// Playbill Equestria -by MD Webster- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue “I REFUSE!!” The manager’s jaw dropped at the sight of a yellow pony with a flamboyant hat slammed her hoof on the desk of his office.  “But Eye Candy I really needed you to direct this play for this season. You had so much potential to make this theater well known.” But the Director gave a glint of fury in her eye, “With bee’s colleting flower pollen and nectar while defending their hive from a bear?! “ The manager smiled nervously as he recalled the last season’s play, Bees and Flowers. He was at the play among the audience watching the pony actors in bee costumes and a huge flowers and a humongous anatomic bear attacking the stage. It did fairly well with box office. That he really needs this pony, who had the talent to write and direct the next play with the subject of a pegisi and the weather clouds. “Well yes… with your astounding directing.” But Eye Candy widened her eyes, “ASTOUNDING!?” By this word projected from her lips, the manager realized he is not winning with this confrontation. “You’d keep requesting to change the setting, extend the flowers, and recolor petals into something unnatural. You’d asked me to rewrite the script, line by line when you know darn well I’m not a writer and worst of all you kept asking me to simplifying the costumes and how did it turn out?” The manager picking up with his thoughts and wits what to say to an upset director, “Uh… The fillies liked it; the colts went nuts of the action.” But Eye Candy resent it, “What about the Stallions and the Mares?!” “Come again?” “The adults, Calculus, they were appalled by this display; they felt like they were watching a school play with adult professional players. No... in fact they were bored to tears." Her face winch as she goes on, "I mean what kind of theater you are running? It's a big theater and it should be treated like one.” Then the manager looked at her trying to bring on her good side, "Eye Candy, Sweety, I'm running a business here and I know what is best for the children." "Really? Is that your only target audience for this theater?" Then after a brief moment of silence she place work badge on the desk, "Consider it as my resignation." "You... Yo.. YOU'RE QUITTING?! Don't quit I've got a theater to run, I need you, Sweety." "Don't call me, Sweety, nothing you can say will change my mind," She glares at him as she opens the door, "Beside there are a lot of ponies who are more willing than me. I'll wish you luck, Calculus." Then she slams the door behind her. With her hooves clopping away from his ears, Calculus sat on the chair, surrounded by gold colored walls with rows of rainbow overhead, feeling blank of mind as his only writer and director of his theater. He tries to make business bringing show to children. Of course, by a long shot, he manage to find a suitable director, Eye Candy, who directing three shows so far in a season but each had effort to bring little profit. However with the director gone, he has to put the production on hiatus but he just can't afford while his theater business is on the line. He reached the bottle of ink, dipped a quill pen and write down a letter and sent to publication. It was a bright day in the park, where a certain pony reads a newspaper making his day more enjoyable than any others of his career. Writing letter upon letter, word for word dealing with a simpletons children's show. Although his cutie mark is a note pad with stub pencil writing, his inspiration of his writing would pay off. What does he is just a simple in a one direction is to explain of how birds make nests or how bees contacts flowers to make honey or even teaching them Equestrian's alphabet and counting. The thought occurred to him of how the manager is running the theater makes him feel that it's not a theater but a school house. His job to be a teacher than the shallow players. He scans through the comics gets a few chuckles from wit and silly slapstick. //-------------------------------------------------------// Stranger on a Train //-------------------------------------------------------// Stranger on a Train The books reorganized, check. Placing a closed sign on the window, check. A fairy tale book in bag, check. Spike refusing to get up and Nyx nudging him to get up. "Ohhh, Nyx!" "Good morning, Spike!" Heh, Check. Twilight Sparkle marked everything in her list as the light of a Celestia's blessed morning shines through the window. Then She put away the list in the saddle bag and turn her attention to the grill sizzling with wonderful scent of cooking pancake batter. She barely flipped the pancakes as she sees her grumpy dragon assistant and her adoptive daughter walking down the stairs. As they sit up to the table. Spike is a purple baby dragon with green spike aligned on his spine, his green heavy eyes glared in annoyance at Nyx. Nyx is an black alicorn filly with violet mane and on her flank is cutie mark of a blue kite shield with a thin light shade shaped like a crescent moon. Twilight is a lavender alicorn mare with a well straight dark blue with pink stripe mane draped down her neck, and her cutie mark is a pink star with several stars encircle around it. She stacked the pancakes when she greeted her number one assistance, "Good morning, Sleepyhead." "Good 'early' morning, Twilight," Spike replied irritatingly. Twilight chuckled as she pour some batter on the grill, "Sorry, Spike, I did ask Nyx to wake you up." But Spike rolled his green dragon eyes, "Yeah, But I still don't see why we would wake so early." Twilight looked at the dragon then she focus her magic in the saddle bag and up come a scroll that bears a royal seal, then she placed on the table as she began to explain, "Last night, I recieved summon from the Princess Celestia to meet us at Canterlot. I was instructed to bring a fairy tale book of a fairy tale about a beautiful pony and a hideous beast." That brought Spike some attention, then he unrolls the letter and reads it. Then as he finishes it Spike blinked as he said, "The princess of Equestria asking for a simple fairy tale book, Why is that?" "I really don't know, Spike maybe she wants me to set up a lesson for the little fillies and colts." Twilight stacks several more pancakes on top. "By just telling a story?" Spike raised and eyebrow as he rolls up the parchment. Then Twilight scrap the last remaining of the batter onto the grill, "Spike, sometimes stories brings great lessons of friendship for us to understand." Then Nyx suddenly asked,  "what does that story say?" Twilight smiles as she flips the last flapjack and began to serve them to Nyx and Spike. Then she began to explain, "It's a story of a selfish pony prince who turned into a beast by a very powerful alicorn." Nyx blinked, "An alicorn turns a prince into a beast to teach him a lesson? It sounds mean. Does Celestia do that sometimes to teach a lesson?" Twilight chuckled, "Of course not, but I'll turn you into one when you don't behave." Nyx giggled at Twilight's playfulness, "So anyways, the prince..." An interruption came by knocking at the door, "Maybe for some other time." Twilight head to answer the door and only found a white mare unicorn with lavishing purple mane. "Rarity," The lavender alicorn
