Hey Lucy, I Remember your Name
The chilly autumn breeze rolled through the empty streets as the fallen leaves rustled with it. It was just an ordinary day. And it's hard to imagine that on such an ordinary day, it can hold such painful memories.
A man wearing a black jacket slowly walked on, his shoes shuffling on the sidewalk with each step. The wind blew in behind him, seeming to make the leaves slowly after the figure. The man went at a steady and calm pace as the quiet and colorful street accompanied his small walk. In his hands held a boutique of roses. Crimson roses held delicately as the man brought it close to his chest. The wrap of the boutique crinkled as the man hugged it tighter as the wind relentlessly hit him. He simply shook it off as his thin jacket did its best to warm him up.
As the dark hood shadowed his face, his feet made continued on as his feet made contact with the sidewalk, not giving heed to the extravagant beauty of nature around him. Fall always greeted him cheerily and happily with the chill of the wind. The change of autumn to winter started slow and then very quickly as timed passed on. The man suddenly stopped in his tracks as he looked up.
Within moments, he began to walk again. A steady rhythm of his feet hitting the ground was heard. The sign above his head read The Evergreen Cemetery. The colors of fall suddenly shifted to a spectrum of green, green, and pine needle green. The winter tree made a pathway for the lone man, the boutique of roses clutched to his chest. Bright orange leaves scattered the grounds as old gray tombstones were simply ignored by the man. He didn't give heed to read the names. He was focused on only one particular special tombstone.
Finally coming to a halt, the man removed his hood as he began to speak.
"Hey, it's me again..." the man whispered softly to himself as he held the bundle of a dozen roses with one hand.
The wrapper crinkled as the man took a deep breath. The wind came through, blowing at the decaying leaves that sat at a particular tombstone.
"Lucy, how are you doing right now?" the man asked, his voice having a hint of sadness.
He stared at the head of the tombstone as he got on a knee. His blue jeans stretched a bit out as his brown eyes looked sadly down. The wind and leaves accompanied him as he looked up.
"Me? Well, you know, the same old, same old." the man replied as his fingers seemed to loosen their grip on the stalk of the roses. "The same old Liam..."
He paused as he stared at the tombstone, imagining if she was there. An image of a cheerful and beautiful girl entered his mind. He remembered her touch. Her voice. Herself.
"I always wonder what you do when I'm not here..." he said as he swept the leaves away of the grave. "I'm sorry that I don't come as much..."
Getting on both of his knees, Liam's fingers brushed at the engraving of Lucy's name.
Lucy Jones., the tombstone read. Below it, the numbers below her name read the dates of her birth and death:

"I just wish that you're here..." Liam said as his eyes read the name and dates over and over again.
He closed them tightly as a tear trickled down from one of his eyes. The other one soon shed one as Liam opened them again.
"It isn't the same anymore for me." he said sadly, shaking his head.
He took a deep breath as he brought the roses to his lips. He gently kissed them and placed it on top of the grave.
"Happy Birthday Lucy." Liam whispered.
He gave a small smile.
"Roses fit you so well." he said as he placed one of his hands in his pocket. "They're so beautiful, like you. It reminds me of you so much..."
Grabbing something from his jacket pocket, Liam took out an item. An item that could be held in the palm of a hand.
"You know, she also reminds me of you." he said as he clutched the item close to his heart. "Loud, happy, and just full of energy... I made it myself, but I hope you know who she is."
He placed the item on the grave, now standing up as he wiped the old tears away.
"Happy Birthday Lucy." Liam said again, turning towards to exit out the cemetery. "I'll always remember your name."
With that said, Liam's body began to become outlined in purple light. It grew a bit brighter as he began to be engulfed in it. A tear fell from his eye as he looked back at the grave. As the light grew more intense, it sizzled down. The place where Liam once stood, he was gone. Gone into thin air. Upon the grave of Lucy laid a small figure of Vinyl Scratch. Her bright mane and coat white as snow cuddled next to the fresh dozen roses Liam placed.
Liam suddenly found himself staring at a wooden floor as purple light exited out the corner of his eyes.
"Liam, are you okay?" a worried voice asked.
This made the human look up to a purple unicorn.
"Y-yes Twilight, I'm... fine." Liam replied, dusting himself off as he got onto his feet. "Just... memories..."
"I understand." Twilight said, not wanting to push on the subject. "But I'm sorry that you weren't in your dimension long enough, I should've-"
Liam held out his palm towards her, silencing the unicorn.
"It's okay Twilight," Liam said with a sad smile, "I had enough time."
Twilight nodded as Liam's head looked out at the window.
"Thank you for what you did, Twilight." Liam said, giving a respectful bow. "You don't know how much that means to me."
"It wasn't a problem, Liam!" Twilight said as the door bursted open.
"Hey Liam!!" a cheerful voice said happily, tackling his back with a hug.
The male saw pink hooves around his shoulders and smiled warmly.
"Hi Pinkie Pie." he replied, feeling the happiness go through his body.
"Come quick! Me and Applejack got something really super-duperity fun things!" the pink party pony exclaimed as she bounced out of Twilight's home.
"L-Liam, are you al-" Twilight began.
"I'm fantastic, Twilight!" Liam said, beaming a smile. "Come join us!"
She nodded with a warm smile as the human began to run out.
"Wait for me Pinkie!" he yelled out, waving at the bouncing pony.
"You've got to catch me first, Leemy!!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.
Liam couldn't help but smile. Ever since he was in Equestria, he couldn't help but think just of Lucy. But as time went on, he looked at the great aspects of life. Keep the dear memories that you did and hold them close to your heart. Nothing can shatter that. Liam began to catch up with Pinkie as his thoughts raced.
"I'm going to live his life for her, for Lucy!" Liam thought as he felt his lungs pushing on.
Now nose to muzzle, Liam was pushing hard while Pinkie Pie casually bounced her pace. Unfortunately, Liam tripped, landing somewhat hard onto the ground. Grunting as he crashed to the ground, he immediately got up and caught up with Pinkie. Out of breath, he began to wheeze as Pinkie Pie beamed a smile at him.
"That was fun!" she exclaimed.
Liam couldn't help but smile and nod. Words couldn't escape his mouth by being out of breath.
"Howdy!" a southern accent voice called out. "Liam, y'all here! C'mon, join us'!!"
"Go-got you, Applejack!" Liam coughed out as he made his way behind Pinkie Pie.
Laughter filled the air as Liam joined in the party that was going on. This was life. And life was good. A life for Lucy. And soon, he was going to meet her.
It was perfect.
A woman carrying a parasol stood on a rainy day, looking down at the ground. With her long dark brown that went all the way down her shoulders, she sighed. A bouquet of white tulips was gently around the woman's arm as she continued to stare. Tears came from her eyes as she crouched down to the slab of stone on the ground.
"Sorry that I haven't talked to you in a while..." the woman said as the soft rain pattered at the head of the umbrella.
The red dress the woman wore stuck out dominantly as she talked on.
"I don't have much to say, but I still remember you..." she whispered a more tears came down from her eyes.
The rain grew slightly intense as the woman wiped the salty tears away. With that said, she placed the bouquet down and fished an object from her pocket.
A small smile appeared on her face.
"I remember how you would always urge me to watch the show with you." she said as she looked down at her palm. "Remember that?"
Only the sound of the rain drizzling down answered her question.
A small toy in the woman's hands looked like what it appeared to be was Octavia. Tucking the little toy under the tulips, she got up.
"You always said that Vinyl Scratch was a perfect one to represent me..." she said. "And I said, Octavia suited you."
She giggled softly.
"Happy Birthday Liam." the woman said as she stared down at the stone. "Please remember that, I never forgot your name."
