Twilight ran through the book-strewn library, taking out books from every other shelf as she went. She flipped through the pages quickly, looking for a certain spell. "Where is Spike when I need him!" She cried, agitated that the baby dragon had chosen now to go out for no reason. As she looked through what seemed like the last book in the library that might have the spell, the purple alicorn squealed in delight. She had found it! The put the book on her desk and looked at the spell more carefully.
The spell was supposed to let the caster and others in a close range teleport extremely long distances, much farther than Twilight's normal teleportation spell.
As Twilight studied the complicated spell, Applejack and Rarity walked in. "You asked for us to come?" Applejack said, stepping over the books and scrolls Twilight had carelessly scattered on the floor. "You must really be up to something, Twi." She added, taking another look around the messy library. "Have trouble finding some information or something?" She cleared her throat loudly when Twilight seemed to ignore her.
Twilight snapped her head up from her book. "Did you say something?" Her eyes were heavy from staying up all night, and her coat and mane were covered in dust from her spell hunt. After Applejack didn't say anything, just stared at the alicorn looking concerned, Twilight went back to reading. When she got to the possible effects, she began to get a little nervous. "Trans-dimensional travel?" She muttered to herself. "That might not end well..."
Rarity walked closer to Twilight. "Did you say something?" She asked politely. "You look tired." She said after Twilight stayed silent. "You should sleep."
Twilight shook her head. "Did you see Pinkie, Rainbow Dash or Fluttershy on your way?" She asked. "They said they would come too."
A few seconds after she asked, the door opened and the three walked in together. Fluttershy sighed. "I knew they'd get here before us." She yellow pegasus looked around the room. "What happened?"
"Good! You're all here!" Twilight said, standing up. "Now we can get to work." She trotted to the center of the room, moving books with her hooves and magic.
"Uh, Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked. "What exactly are we doing?"
"We are going to Saddle Arabia!" Twilight exclaimed, a huge smile on her face.
There was silence in the room for some time. Twilight's smile slowly became a frown, her ears flat against her head. "What's wrong?"
Applejack shuffled her hooves. "Uh, Saddle Arabia is a little far, don't you think Twi?" She frowned. "And why would we go, exactly?"
"Well, I want to try out a new teleportation spell!" Twilight said, smiling again. "And Saddle Arabia would be a great place to start with. Its far enough away my usual teleportation spell wont get us there!"
"Uh, Twilight?" Fluttershy said awkwardly. "Your teleportation spell can't even get you to my house." She gave a shy smile. "Maybe we should try somewhere... a little um... closer?"
Rainbow nodded. "I agree. Saddle Arabia is kind of stretching it."
Twilight rolled her eyes. "Fine. Lets just do this." She readied herself, standing in a sturdy position and closing her eyes. Her horn soon glowed with a purple aura as she cast the complicated spell. She bit her lip as the spell threatened to slip from her grasp. She opened one eye to see her friends all bracing themselves for the teleportation spell. Than it was done. As the magic burst from her horn, she heard the library door open and somepony say something, but than, there was silence.
