I think that people underestimate knowledge, in a world where magic, flight and strength are all common attributes, knowledge, is considered lackluster. I think whoever considers that to be true, is wrong. I haven’t ever been able to use magic nor have I processed the ability of flight, and I’m far too old to be considered strong, so knowledge is my only advantage I have at my disposal. And I have used it to the best of my abilities.
It may not look like it, but I’m a major part in the history of Equestria. I have been here since the very start; I have seen heroes and empires from the tales of old. I have watch ponies fight over which is the best ability, never to find the right answer. I know the answer, its knowledge. We’re just specks on a bigger speck on another speck within a speck, we shouldn’t waste our meaningless life on wars, and we should focus on improving our pointless time here with the power of our minds.
I used to tell people friendship was important, that it brought out the best in people. But I feel like I can’t even apply my own knowledge anymore. Every 120 years or so, everyone I have ever met has died or been dead and I just remain here, Filled with grief. Only two I have met have passed that test, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. I practically raised them myself. They had the power of magic, and I had the power of knowledge from my time here. I told them everything I could, for I knew that great things were in store of them, I could tell.
I cannot harm nor can I be harmed, I’m like a god, a very weak god. I saw kingdoms fall and all I could do is watch and be taunted. No matter how much I wanted, I could do nothing, only influence those around me. The grief is terrible. Every death I could have prevented, but I just could only sit there and watch. It all stays with me, to this day, I still think about each and every one. Whenever I close my eyes and I can hear myself taunted with the sounds of death and fear. I hardly feel happy anymore, my only happiness is when I see Luna or Celestia, But I know not even they will last forever. I don’t know how, but some time, be it a million years or a day in the future, the immortality they process will end. That day will be the worst day of my existence.
I will live forever, I’m immortal; Not like the princesses’ immortality, I WILL live forever! Even if this planet doesn’t exist, I will still remain. And there’s nothing I can do about it. Death is a goal for me, a dream of mine. But, No matter how hard I try, it won’t happen.
