Endeavours

Pinkie was humming happily as she worked hard at Sugar Cube Corner. The sound of the timer rang and within a few seconds she had a new set of chocolate cupcakes perched precariously on her head-as usual-.  Gently she donned them on a nearby table and said  "It's Done!!! In her bubbly voice.

" Good job, Pinkie, " announced Mr Cake giving her, her weekly bits. " Take the rest of your time of and visit your friends, you must be tired of all this work, baking and looking after the foals".

Pinkie accepted her bits.  "No problem Mr Cake you know how I love them lil foals"  She chirped happily. She  left Sugar Cube Corner in high spirits. Now what should I do? She thought tapping her head with a hoof. I bet Rarity won't be busy. Flutter Shy's training with Rainbow Dash, Apple Jacks's probably selling her delicious Apple pies to help make funds funds for the Apple Family and Twight Sparkle... Just reading I'll visit her next she promised.

At Rarity's Carousal Boutique Rarity was busy talking to her costumers that keep filing in, her purple mane was all flustered and lay in clumps around her head. " Here's your bits next please". Pinkie heard her say in her most elegant posh voice that she could muster. " Oh Pinkie Darling, what brings you to my boutique this fine evening?

Pinkie  jolted. " I just wondered if...she looked at the piling costumers in thought and continued If  I can help you Rarity you need an extra pair of hoofs over here". She hurried to the costumers collections to mask her disappointment.

"You can tell me what to give the costumers and I'll chip in,".

"That'll be great Pinkie, replied Rarity her purple eyes sparkling. A few minutes later into the job Pinkie was the one running back and forth, her gaze frantic to find the requirements needed. Soon the costumers were all gone.

" Pinkie how can I ever thank you darling!!!? Rarity exclaimed but then interrupted Pinkie as she opened her mouth " I know I can treat you to the spa and we an have some major pampering". That is exactly what they did.

Feeling refreshed Pinkie and Rarity parted ways. Pinkie trotted to where Twilight Sparkle lived in a tree dome. She thought that Twilight would open the door but it was Spike the baby dragon her number one assistant "Hey Pinkie he said still holding the door, come on in".

Pinkie bounded in and bounced upstairs to the library where she knew Twilight would be. Spike followed her up and acknowledged Pinkie's presence to the hunched unicorn sitting in the corner, but Twilight just gave a small grunt her eyes trailing an important  document with speed. "Hey Spike do me a favour" she said lifting her eyes on Pinkie " you too Pinkie". "  Can you go to Ever Free Forest and collect something from Zecora for my experiment please?"  She lowered her head and continued reading.

Yes Twilight,"  Spike replied and obediently led Pinkie downstairs. " I'm sorry Pinkie, lets go get the item" he smiled reassuring. I'll be waiting at the front of Ever free, it's dangerous and best to be equipped and ready incase Timber wolves invade".

"Sure" Pinkie said dejectedly her hair deflating. She went ahead off Spike and sat down waiting patiently suddenly she dozed off.

Pinkie awoke to the darkness of Ever Free. What in the hay? She thought how could I have dozed off in such an important time?.  SPIKE!? she yelled Are you here yet!? Please answer me I''m scared". Suddenly a light flashed between her eyes zipping back and forth.  Pinkie followed the light as it spun and wove through the trees ,often  waiting for her to catch up before continuing. It led her deeper and deeper, past a stream and stopped as it reached a temple. It towered higher than the tallest tree and was made out of beautiful stone marbles just like an Ancient Greeks temple. Pinkie went in exploring its depths excitingly only to stumble upon a weird looking marble with strange markings and incantations written on the side. She accidently stepped on it breaking it. Light flashed everywhere and Pinkie shut her eyes until she was sure the light was gone. She picked it with her teeth, found the light that was guiding her and trotted back home.
