"Everywhere, floating in the aether, in the air, in the radio waves, are hundreds, possibly thousands, of undiscovered transmissions. Some of them are benign. Others, like number stations, we don't understand. And trying to do so may be the end of us."

When a college student stumbled across a seemingly random transmission of numbers while working on a class project, he passes it off as some other students screwing around.

Then, less than twenty-four hours later, his roommate finds him unmoving on the bathroom floor.

Something is in the air, it seems. As more and more ponies exhibit strange behavior, rumors of "Number Stations" circulate around campus. They come from nowhere, with no pattern or purpose.

Except, perhaps, to kill us.

[Finally done. I'd like to thank two very specific "people" in helping me put this together. I couldn't have done it just right without them: Nox Arcana and DJ Finish Him. Ambiance is important, people.]
