Seventeen years have passed since the defeat of Discord and the Discordian Rebellion. The Principality of Equestria has returned to peace and prosperity. All is not well, however, as the younger princess has never been trusted by her own people. Various forces seek to use this distrust to oust the princesses and become rulers themselves. War breaks out once again, and chaos threatens to overtake Equestria again, with or without Discord.
