Equestria Hosts A Musical Event.
Everything was ready. Twilight Sparkle and her friends had pitched in, as Celestia expected they would. They had gotten plenty of contestants. Heck, she and Luna each had something prepared. Speaking of which, Luna was first up. Some of the competitors were... interesting. She had said that even ponies or otherwise with a malevolent history could compete. Of course, she wasn't worried. She was having everything closely monitored.
Luna went up on stage with the ponies that volunteered to play the backup instruments aswell as her sister. " Here is how things will go. At the end of the night, write which act was your favorite on the paper given to you at the door. Make sure to give it to the ponies at the door on your way out." Celestia told the ponies. "Now give it up for my dear sister, Luna." "With this piece, we tried to put a more upbeat spin on horror." Luna said, almost sounding nervous. She seated herself at an organ ( the piano-like instrument) and waited for the rest of her temporary band to be ready.

It started slow and eerie, as if building up tension. Then, out of nowhere, it turned into a fast-paced action song while still maintaining a horror feel. At one point, it was sad and monotone. It sounded amazing. When it was over, the crowd went absolutely wild. Applause came from everywhere in the room. Luna was... was she blushing? Something everypony could agree on was that it was a great way to start off the night.

Twilight Sparkle was up next. She would be playing the flute. None of her friends had known she could play until that morning. She only had 2 ponies in her temporary band. " Next up is my former apprentice and new princess, Twilight Sparkle." She readied her flute. "With this we mixed sadness and action to try and create something beautiful. I hope you enjoy." Everypony wondered what would come out of this performance. What they heard baffled them.

As Twilight said it would be, it was heart-thumping, but at the same time it was saddening. Fluttershy even teared up a little. It blended the two emotions perfectly. Her friends knew Twilight was good, they had seen her play that morning, but they didn't know she was this good. This was truly impressive in every meaning of the word. Some ponies even hummed along. This included, strangely enough, Rainbow Dash. The audience applauded yet again, but this time not as wildly as many were too emotionally touched to do so. Twilight was congragulated by all of her friends the moment she flew off the stage. There was only one word to describe what she was feeling. Pride.
