Several years have passed since Fluttershy and Scootaloo's departure from Ponyville. Running from the invincible threat, the changelings, they escape as far from the center as possible. Thinking themselves safe, they earn their living in the scorching deserts.

Meanwhile, Commander Rainbow Dash is not happy to sit still and quiet with the knowledge that one of the most powerful and influential families in the Equestrian goverment is a changeling. She is far too eager to strike back at the vile atrocities that almost destroyed Ponyville and killed many ponies in order to guard the secret of their existance.

However, there is much more to this situation than any pony can think of. The tale of a monster hunter is over - now, the legend begins.
