Rainbow Factory: Leo's Rocket to Insanity

Now a rainbow's tale isn't quite as nice as the story we knew of sugar and spice.

" How did I fail!" Leo growled out. It was all suppose to be a big day for him to prove his worth at flying and soar through the sky with his big sister. However his dream was about to shatter now all because of one foolish thing.

" Your wings are disabled. Why would you bother coming here if their paralyzed?" Leo's fur was mostly cyan like Rainbow Dash's, but the one thing that's had the most attention was his grey wings. They weren't a normal grey though, it was like his wings were just, dead. Nonetheless, Leo still flew very well but wasn't given that chance. The judge said that just straight out of the bucket. Now he had to go to the worse place in Equestrian and he wasn't even a young adult yet. Leo gave his wings a flutter then spread them out to show they were just fine.

" I was born like this. Just because my wings look like they've been discolored doesn't count me out of my true skill. Let me show you how awesome I can fly." Leo told them. The judges however declined and that was the end of that. Little 13 year old Leo was taken to the facility just like that, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. His 'escorts' were two cloaked Equestrians which already got the young Pegasus suspicious, but he didn't say anything at all. Leo suddenly thought back to the last time he saw his older sister before his exam.

Flashback

It was a sunny day in Canterlot and Leo was sitting on a cloud stalking from above since he had nothing else better to do. He did everything Rainbow Dash could accomplish and it was at an even younger age Rainbow Dash was. He was only aware of one thing that he felt was impossible for him that he gave up on, Star RainbowRuinga. It was hopeless for him, he didn't have that much concentration in his mind yet. Sighing in boredom he rolled onto his back and placed his hands behind his head staring at the sky. The wind blew against his red, orange, and silver hair as his green eyes began to droop.

" What are you doing Leo? Your usually up and about like the crusaders." He heard his sister's voice below him. He rolled back onto his stomach and saw his rainbow haired sister looking sternly at him. He merely relaxed as he was too lazy to speak. However he remembered the flight exams which gave him a sudden burst of energy to get up and fly next to her.

" In just three days I'll have to take my flight test and then once I *ahem* obviously pass, I can become just like you, right big sis?" He asked. Rainbow Dash chuckled and ran her hand through Leo's hair and nodded.

" Who knows you might actually be better than me. Do your best and don't get overwhelmed. In this family that's not in our dictionary." She told him. Leo nodded at this and flew back from Rainbow Dash to do a little loop in the air for practice.

" One more thing, don't get predictable either and...make sure to be better than me, don't be an equal with me." Leo tilted his head at hearing that?

" What's wrong with being like you? Your awesome, you even have fans. I'm just...your heir." Rainbow Dash quickly grabbed onto Leo's shoulders and stared into his eyes as if she were pleading. For a few seconds as light green met purple, Rainbow Dash finally spoke firmly.

" Pass the exams and don't be like me. Become somebody, understand?" There was silence between them and all Leo could do was nod and promise her this.

Back to the Present

" I-I, failed you Dash. I even broke our promise." Leo began to tear up as he and his escorts walked through the double doors of the factory.

But a rainbow's easy once you get to know it with the help of the magic of the Pegasus' demise.

Here he was, the large colorful facility. He saw large filters where different colors were contained and secured. Along with that Leo noticed large pistons pumping as if they were crushing innocent beings guts out. However that wasn't even the worse part, despite hearing screams in almost every direction, he was forced inside a cage where he saw other pegasai who were tearfully waiting. Leo wasn't sure yet, but before the door closed his 'escort' gave him an insult that would of pinched the wrong nerve.

" Your wings are disabled, why even bother living you piece of trash, you should be disposed first." Leo growled like an enraged animal and was about to turn around and attack, but before he could the door was already closed and locked.

" Man, they never gave me a chance to even fly." Leo muttered. He looked at the other young Pegasai, he could just smell their fear that it even reeked of it, it's suppose to be happy place around here, not just get thrown away like you weren't born without a purpose. He gave his wings a flutter and looked up at the top of the cage, hoping that the space for his small size could fit through. Fortunately, he probably could, but he didn't want to risk it since one mistake ends his life, but waiting ends his life as well. If he was going to die, he wanted to at least see Rainbow Dash one last time if possible.

" We need more blue!" A worker called out. Leo sighed. This was too convenient, right when he comes in he's about to come right back out and die.

" Wait a minute." Leo's mind suddenly began to race as he just heard how helpless he sounded. " Why am I even still, I'll die either way, but I'd rather die with a pu-" He was cut off when he heard the top of the cage open. A large claw hovered above the cage and moving around the Pegasai which mostly scared the blue ones ( apparently Leo didn't count since he's too light). At the very instant, the claw came and grabbed one of the young blue Pegasai who was a male. His screams echoed as Leo closed his eyes as he saw the pleading Pegasus begging for his life while being pulled out. The top of the cage closed and now all of the Pegasai were crying like babies and Leo couldn't blame them, in public he wouldn't cry since it shows weakness and fear, but around people he knew was  different story. He heard the same Pegasus from before cry out which startled him. This needed to stop. He didn't want any of this madness to continue, but what could he do to stop it.

Let's delve deeper into rainbow philosophy, Far beyond that of cloudsdale's mythology. It's easy to to misjudge that a floating city with alluring decor and social psychology.

" We need orange!" Leo recognized that voice which he hoped wasn't who he thought it was. The cage door opened and Leo turned around and apparently, it was his own sister apart of this own madness. She looked different though. She wore a white lab coat which Leo thought he'd ever see her wear, next was the look in her eyes, they weren't they're normal purple, they were crimson. Before he knew it, he was busted as Rainbow Dash turned to see him here to her shock. The entire factory was so far nothing to them as they stared at each other with shock as things took a big turn for them. Not only was the younger Pegasus' own sister a psychotic maniac, but he was related to one.

" What are you doing here? Why are you working in this...hellhole!" Leo shouted. His outburst got everyone's attention including some workers, but not for long. Rainbow was silent for a long period of time which ticked Leo off. Instead of getting an answer from her, Rainbow Dash asked a question of her own.

" How...did you...fail?" She said it firmly, but Leo wasn't intimidated in the least. If she wasn't in this place he'd be more than happy to tell her how he was cheated out of the exams. Now he just didn't know what to do. Out of his instinct he suddenly ran towards her and tackled her against the cage wall where she was smashed in between his body weight and the bars. After this, Leo was rapidly trying to hit his own sister with punches, but she pushed him back into one of the other workers who grabbed him by the arms. He tried to fight his way out although it all seemed to be in vain since the worker had a tight grip. Rainbow Dash walked over to him and didn't hesitate to slap him across the face. That instantly made Leo yell out in anger as he tried to use his adrenaline to fight his way out, it was still in vain. Leo's anger suddenly died out as he now had everyone in the cage looking at him.

" I'll ask you again since your my little brother. What happened, how did you fail?" She asked.

" What are you doing here?" Leo countered. Rainbow Dash got ready to slap him again, but this time Leo was able to put all his weight down as he fell onto his but making the worker bend over and get slapped instead. Rainbow Dash slapped pretty hard which made the worker wince and release Leo. However another came from behind with a syringe in his hand and was about inject it in the younger brother. He saw this coming and grabbed his wrist and with one motion made a crack causing his scream and drop the needle. As the other worker was down and screaming, Leo now had the needle in his grasp and looked at Rainbow Dash coldly.  He walked towards her as he got ready to inject her, but the first worker from before wrapped his arms around Leo's neck and began to choke him.

" Make sure to subdue him, try not to hurt him." Rainbow Dash commanded.

" With pleasure." The worker replied. Leo used all the strength he could give out and tried to pull his arms away. Time slowed as he remembered the needle in his hand which already gave him a reaction. He plunged the needle inside his forearm and injected him with the liquid inside. The worker groaned and stepped back from the younger cyan Pegasus and to his shock, he wasn't affected that much and lashed at Leo again to restrain. This time Leo took matter into his own hands and plunged the needle in his chest which made him scream. Leo repeatedly impaled the needle in different spots of his abdomen on the way up and finally right in one of his eye sockets. Leo didn't show mercy and tackled the worker down and continued stabbing the worker's face till it wasn't recognized and blood spewing onto the the young cyan Pegasus's  fur and started to create a pool. He was still going which Rainbow Dash was even shocked about. She decided to take matters in her own hands as she grabbed her brother by his arms and disarmed him of the needle easily with a simple grab for it. Leo's face was now covered in the life fluids as well as his clothing.

" I ought a have you processed on the spot, Leo. You show attitude though from how you took out my 'pawn'. Why not work and help your sister. I'll tell you everything you need to know just like that if you agree." Leo looked away as his hair covered his eyes from seeing his psychotic sister.

" Your a monster." He spoke.

" From the way you kill my worker, you seem to be one yourself." Rainbow Dash commented. " So, are you going to help your dear old sis, hmm?"
